I returned my new Move 2. Epic fail. There should be a way to charge the company a nuance charge. Never again. You lost me( and in looks like hundreds of devoted customers) with the app and the ridiculous dropping of connection. Sticking with my 2 ONES. Will not be buying any more of your products. Good luck.
Thanks Sonos for making this super confusing!im going to ask my specific question since there is so much info out there on different situations and I can’t be clear as to what the right answer is unless I create my own.Is this possible: I would like to add an aftermarket older version Jen one play five speakers to play in my kitchen, same music new room. Already upgraded my current system to the new app app S2. I am seeing conflicting info on the Internet as to whether or not I can now play my new system with the old system.it seems as though I can, but I need to downgrade my app to the S1. I am hearing that this is not possible please confirm and let me know what is possible.current systemliving room =2x One SL (stereo pair) want to add2x play 5 gen1
Simple enough question but I can’t find the answer in other threads. I just purchased a Sonos Amp with the intention of running two sets of speakers in different rooms. When speaking with the sales people, somehow this intention was lost. The sales folks say I can run the two pairs of speakers into the same banana plugs to drive both sets. However, they noted to check impedance of the speakers. One set is 8 ohms and the other 6 ohms. Is it safe to run these two sets of speakers on the Amp?
It would be great if Sonos could make its Amp product able to use ceiling speakers for the height channel in Dolby Atmos audio. Surely that wouldn’t be hard to do as an option for Amp set-up and use?Any chance Sonos will do this at some time?
Hello Everyone,Thank you in advance for the help.I have a Sonos AMP that powers my two rear ceiling speakers in my 5.1 setup. Recently, I noticed in the Sonos App that the SONOS Amp shows a label that simply states, “Left Surround”. I don’t know what this means, but I assume that the app only believes I have a just a left surround speaker connected to the Amp. In the settings, I can control Surround Height for Left and Right so it seems the Amp sees both speakers in the sound settings. Both my left and right surround speaker are working perfectly with my Arc and Sub. Is this an AMP issue or a display bug in the new Sonos app?
From 4 to 2 stars. The new version is just not complete. A lot of functions is no longer available, 50% of the times it won't turn up or down for a group volume, but just one room. Very slow to connect other rooms, and extremely slow to change songs. Slow to connect to other rooms, and I could go on with mistakes. All in all it is a downgrade rather than a update. Why would sonos be this clumsy and release this app?
If my era 300 is attached to a Wi-Fi booster disc will it be running on Wi-Fi or Ethernet? I would have thought Ethernet but as the booster is not connected to the router via Ethernet I do wonder. It is one of the Bt booster discs.Colin
Since switching my Sonos One to a new wifi network and having to do a factory reset to set it back up my alarms have gone crazy. It does not play the alarms I set over the speaker (although it looks like the music is playing based on app notifications) and it is setting i off alarms (using my selected favorites at least) at times I have never had set - - 7 am everyday, other random times during the day but consistent. I’ve tried deleting all alarms and resetting them, looked at all the app settings. It’s not as if it’s holding a memory of old alarms and the time zone is correct. I use google voice assistant and spotify and sonia radio. Help! I’m at a loss.
Radio Swiss Classic has stopped working completely on my Sonos system. I contacted the station but they said they have not changed any settings or servers. I tried adding the URL manually into TuneIn and saved it as a favourite but it still does not show up on my Sonos system. The original saved favourites from Radio Swiss are still there but do not play at all. Please could you help me solve this issue. I am using the new updated Sonos app with my system plus I also use the desktop version on my Mac.thank you and I look forward to your reply,Chris
When attempting to adjust volume to my sound system (e.g. - beam, sub, 2 play:1), I noticed my Sonos app doesn’t recognize by devices.Everything should be on same network but app doesn’t let me confirm. this happened to anyone and what did you do?
Roll it back please. It sux. Horrible. Painful to just select and play music now. Why Sonos, why?
It is the worst app, ever!! It is extremely slow to respond (if it responds at all) and always has connection issues! i started thinking it must be my wifi but it’s most definitely not because every other app and service works perfectly well. I’ve now resorted to just using my Spotify app which is amazing as always and doesn’t seem to ever be bogged with these issues! So disappointing Sonos! We didn’t need a new looking app but just a better working app!!
Hello -Is there a Sonos Voice Command I can use to play from my Favorites (My Sonos) as configured in the Sonos app?
I used to be the biggest and most enthusiastic supporter of Sonos, and now I want to rip everything out of my walls. If they even had a single competitor that did Wi-Fi whole house music, I'd be putting everything on eBay and starting over. The new app update that came out recently makes almost every feature difficult. I constantly get the error message "something went wrong" when looking for libraries, playlists, or really anything. I have reinstalled the app twice. I have removed and reinstalled every service within sonos. I have used two different devices, one apple and one Android. My Plex server sometimes shows up, sometimes says that there's no data in it, and sometimes just gives me an error message. My network attached storage pretends it's not there 90% of the time. The five devices I have on my network sometimes just decide they're not going to be there anymore and I have to reset them. The UI has become cumbersome, and where I had everything at my fingertips before now even
Lean is a terrible approach hopefully you’re not using it with your devs - it’s the only reason I can possibly accept that could result in the mutant crap you released as an update to your app….what a disaster. Fix up chums!
Hi Sonos,After uninstalling, unplugging, and removing functions within the app. Nothing works again. I've never had a problem before and I cannot enjoy my music or options with my Sonos. Looking for some help to see what and when is this going to be fixed.
I have a Sony Bravia TV and Sonos Arc and Sub Mini and unable to get any sound from Audio SystemThe entire setup is less than six month’s oldI have the TV setup on Audio System, Standard mode, it is connected to my internet
So, I noticed today, looking the odd volume control issues I’m having, that some of my Ports had been set to Pass-Through rather than Fixed. I didn’t do it, so it must be some glitch from recent firmware updates. These things have been fixed since forever. So, Heads UP! Check your fixed volume components to make sure they still are FIXED!And no, this won’t solve the laggy volume control response from the app unfortunately.
sonos and iphone on two different wi fi systems. How to connect to listen???
We had workarounds to listen (most of the time), involving constant mobile reboots (almost hourly) but after being forced to update the app again last night, after multiple reboots of everything now I have:cannot play SiriusXM (which is our primary and constant Sonos use), app can see all the speakers and the music service, can see and select channels, but instead of playing get ‘something went wrong’ msg got music started on PC app (which could only see and play two of the speakers even though the mobile app could see all speakers), and when I opened the mobile app (after another reboot), could add the other speakers to play but still at a very loud volume which the app listed as -1 volume) cannot control the volume in app; speakers show volume of -1 but are loud and cannot be controlled by anything other than physically adjusting the volume button on each speaker Even after reducing volume on speakers manually, it creeps back upOur setup is Android app vers 80.03.04-release+20240618.
Given the issues that this latest update has caused, I am enquiring as to whether there is a good app that can replace and better Sonos? I have several Sonos products and do not want to replace them. Some of my speakers are several years old, Sonos Ones and the old Sound Bar, but I also have the newer speakers and Beam, including Move. Is there an App out there that is compatible with my speakers, so that I can get rid of Sonos and the issues it causes with it’s inadequately tested updates? My issue is that my libraries, purchased tracks and albums, built over several years, have all disappeared. I have tried re-mapping them, but Sonos is unable to link to them now, stating error code 913. I contacted Sonos, who suggested I just use my 2 Airplay speakers! I escalated the issue and Sonos replied to me, suggesting that the issue is the age and older version of my MacBook. However, my Mac was purchased earlier this year, so is brand new and running on the very latest versions of everything
I'm going to update the WiFi password (due to some requirements of other products I own) and I want to change the WiFi-password on my Sonos system pro-actively beforehand (after reading about all the issues with changing WiFi settings; and I know my Sonos devices are not compatible with what's written here: https://support.sonos.com/en/article/connect-sonos-to-a-new-router-or-wi-fi-network).Any way of doing that?
I have read several topics about the issue but…I can play playlists created with previous versions of the app from my Nas, with the new app update.I have now no possibility to create new lists, add to existing, update library or select and play music from Nas. I can only add services like radio and other streaming sources.Since I can play music (old playlists) from my Nas, The Nas setup is correct and working, or?Why is all the media library functionality gone?
Despite having the prompt chime turned on within the Alexa app on the Era 100 device. no chime sounds when the girl is prompted. This has happened only after the release of the shiny new Sonos app.
My Sonos Desktop app for Mac recently stopped recognizing my Sonos system. Since this has happened previously, I just uninstalled the app, reinstalled a new version, but nothing changed. I thought it might be from the most recent Mac OS update, but I don’t believe that’s the case. That said, my Sonos iPhone app still works. Any help troubleshooting would be appreciated. Here is what the Desktop app looks like while music is playing via the iPhone app:
