It would be great if Sonos could make its Amp product able to use ceiling speakers for the height channel in Dolby Atmos audio. Surely that wouldn’t be hard to do as an option for Amp set-up and use?

Any chance Sonos will do this at some time?

I’d doubt it, although who knows. I’d assume that the chip built in to the Amp doesn’t have that capability, and it would require a new product to do so.

That could be interesting.

Amp for front height channels when using a Gen 2 Beam?

Amp for rear height channels without without surrounds?

The Perfect set up IMO would be Arc2, in ceiling Surrounds powered by amp, rears powered by amp, and focused height speakers powered by amp.   All amps have Atoms capabilities. (That is the wish).   Now Sonos just needs to step up their game and join the technology standard that is 2024.  Speaking as a shareholder of Sonos,   This is a critical move to stay a market influencer and soon enough, to stay relevant.
