I have the following set up LG OLED55C8PLASonos Beam (Gen 1)Google TV Streamer 4kHDMI audio extractor connect to sonos optical and Newcare HDMI extractor 4k 60HZ to optical toslink spdifI am using TiviMate pro but am getting lip sync issues, when I use Netflix I have to adjust the lip sync but when I switch back to TV watching live programs the lip sync is out again, correcting that then the netflix is outIs there anything I can do or purchase to correct this issue or is the Google streamer not compatible with the Sonos?
I’m getting tired of the two era 100 speakers cutting out it’s embarrassing for the prices I paid for this and I have changed the WiFi channels rebooted them and you can’t even sync the TV volume with them only the arc might take it back. My old system never did this (wired).
When I changed the music on one speaker and change which speakers and different music the first speaker continued to play the station that was previously playing after I had deselected it and set a new group. User error? Perhaps but improved navigation seems a bit cumbersome. I’m turning it off for comparison. Thoughts?
This is so frustrating. Last night, when I said "Alexa, turn off the TV", it failed repeatedly. I checked the app on my iPhone and it showed no products in my system. So I went to re-add my Beam and when I got to the part where I need to input my wifi password, it failed. I rebooted the Beam, I rebooted my Google Wifi router, I reset my Sonos app. Nothing worked. Then I connected an ethernet cable directly to my Beam and that worked. So I went to update my network in the app while connected to ethernet still. Once again when I went to input my password. I got an error saying it couldnt connect. Nothing about my home network has changed, including my password. At this point, I give up. I bought an unmanaged switch to place behind my entertainment center and will just connect the Beam with an ethernet cable. It shouldnt be this hard.
BonjourJ’ai cru comprendre en achetant un Sonos Port qu’on pouvait écouter la musique d’une chaîne Hi fi analogique sur l’enceinte Move2 en wifi mais je n’arrive pas à les connecter. Merci pour l’aide Moderator edit:Google translate -Hello, When I bought a Sonos Port, I was under the impression that I could play music from an analog Hi-Fi system on the Move 2 speaker via Wi-Fi, but I can't seem to connect them. Thanks for the help.
so I am On the journey to have the speakers on new app. My beam currently runs with old speakers on S1 Sonos. i now have Move 2 and a Roamand want to add it to a system cluster on new app. i also want to keep old speakers running on old app as I don’t have budget to change everything. I know I we run two systems? Yes that is happening ok. How Do I move beam To join move 2?
So I have been using the HD Fury Arcana since its initial release, to link my SONOS ARC to my 4k projector. This evening the Arcana finally "gave up the ghost" so to speak. I smelled a faint odor of electric fire and then the HDMI output no longer recognised the cable. I assume there was a short, and not easily fixed. The Arcana has lasted 5-6 years so I'm not too surprised its crapped out. So my question is simply this: are there better and/or cheaper alternatives out there now? I know there's an "Arcana 2" but I don't think I need that. What I am looking for is something that will do the job of splitting Atmos signal out to the ARC without setting me back £200. Back in the day the Arcana was the only game in town but its been a long time since then. I can see similar products on Amazon for significantky less money, but they look a bit dodgy. Are people having success with other products? Please point me in the right direction.
Does anyone have this issue when connected to the headphones you don’t hear your my music even though it’s turned all the way up, until I turn the left head phone sideways on my ear then I hear out of that ear only but not loud?
Dear Sonance community,I recently purchased and installed a Sonance MAG 6.1 speaker/subwoofer system in my backyard and pool area, as shown in the attached image. The installation was completed following the recommended guidelines to provide even audio coverage throughout the outdoor space. As part of the setup, the amplifier is currently located under the gazebo. Once I finalize the installation, I plan to relocate the amplifier into a temperature-controlled enclosure for added protection. The speaker layout is configured in a L-R-L-Sub-R-L-R arrangement, with the approximate distances between each speaker and the subwoofer reflected in the diagram. The entire system is connected using approximately GearIT 250 ft 14/4 gauge speaker cable to maximize sound coverage around the pool area.Following the installation guidance provided in several Sonance installation videos, I wired the system as follows:Left speakers: Green (-) / White (+) Right speakers: Red (+) / Black (-) Subwoofer: Conne
With a free YouTube Music account in Italy, using an Android phone, can I add YouTube Music to the Sonos app and play music directly through a Sonos speaker without keeping the YouTube Music app open on my phone? I am using a free YouTube Music account (not YouTube Music Premium) in Italy on an Android phone. If I add YouTube Music as a music service in the Sonos app, will I be able to browse my library, search for artists and songs, and play music directly on a Sonos speaker over Wi-Fi, without leaving the YouTube Music app running in the background on my phone?"
CBC Music now longer working for me. Any other fans having the same problem?
I have a system with 2 Sonos Play:3 and 1 Ikea symfonisk and the last one drops the sound to 0 around every 10 minutes. I have tried so restart and reset all the settings but it still keep on doing it. What can I do about it?
I have an issue with my Sonos Roam where the volume will drop from high to low when streaming Spotify. I've tried factory resetting the Sonos Roam. I've tried moving it closer to the router and it only happens on my Sonos Roam and not on my Sonos Move which is on the same network. It even happens when the two speakers are paired together and it only happens on the Roam. Submitted diagnostics Moderator Edit - Recorded and removed diagnostics.
When i set my TCL TV audio output to auto it plays youtube content in dolby multi channel pcm 2.0. when i set it to passthrough it plays content in stereo pcm. Auto sounds a lot louder/dynamic at the same volume level and to my ears sounds better? Passthrough sounds quieter but perhaps technically better quality? (I’m not sure). I thought the best setting for a soundbar was to set it to passthrough so it receives uncoded audio and the soundbar outputs the raw source? It seems like I prefer the opposite! Which format is better? I have a beam gen 2 FYI. It’s the same on Netflix also. I can’t remember the formats displayed on the Sonos now playing screen but auto sounds better to me also. Would love to hear some audio enthusiasts advice!
Someone please explain to me how a system that is working perfectly for months suddenly starts cutting in and out when I add a port (which I have removed).I have three business grade wifi 7 tri-band wired access points. It is not possible it’s my wifi.I have taking just about every other thing on the wifi off to check for that. It streams sonos radio just fine. I shifted my music from my NAS to my local machine to stream from there.I switched from my FLAC library to MP3s.I am at a loss at what else to do.I see this happening to tons of people on a regular basis on the forums. WTF?
Currently it takes multiple taps to see the radio status for a speaker, then several more to see another, to see all your information takes a lot of clicks and paper/pencil to remember all the results.A single page consolidating this information for all devices in a system would greatly ease troubleshooting and equipment placement decisions. Putting it under the Network heading would be handy. If status of the 5 gHz surround links could be included that would be another big plus.
For many months now I’ve not really been able to use Tidal with Sonos. Within the Sonos app on iOS I could only play one track at a time. I was never able to get it play a list without choosing the next song manually. I then switched to the Tidal app to cast to the Sonos system. It was fine until a few weeks ago. Now I can’t cast. The Tidal app seems to quickly try about 5 songs before it stops trying. Nothing will play. Then I went back to the Sonos app and found that I can’t play anything that I’ve saved. If it’s in my playlist I can’t play it at all. this is laughable. Yes I’ve done the basics. Reauthorized tidal. Rebooted network. Deleted tidal and Sonos apps from iOS. No changes. this is a large, expensive, collection of useless junk.
HelloEDIT:This post was incorrectly tagged as a “question”. It’s a “conversation”.Occasionally the Sonos App may not behave as you like or maybe a feature is missing such as the volume slider for example. Rather than push the panic button here are a few things you might try that don’t involve unplugging all Sonos and/or rebooting your router. Incidentally, if rebooting your router is necessary it’s a good idea to unplug ALL Sonos before doing so. OK…getting back to my original premise about trouble shooting the Sonos app…Step 1_Check for updates and install if available:App Store (iOS) Play Store (Android)Step 2_If no updates are available:Stop the app on your device and restart it. That’s essentially a reboot which can resolve a multitude of issues.Step 3_If Step 2 doesn’t’ resolve the issue:Delete the app Reboot your device and join your Wi-Fi Reinstall the app from the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android). Go to Step 4Step 4_Do the following in order:Open the app Select “Join an
Our previous LG soundbar has broken, and with already having lots of Sonos speakers around the ground floor, I want to get a Sonos soundbar to replace it.The budget isn’t high at all, as we’re not looking for anything crazy - it’s my parents house - and they just want a replacement for their previous mid-tier LG soundbar (LG LAS455H). All I want is the Sonos quality.I’ve found some good deals online, particularly looking at CEX - as they offer a 5 year warranty for free which would give a bit of peace of mind. A playbar and gen2 sub would come to £380 total which is a crazy good deal in my opinion. I’ve heard this system and I know its great, but I want your opinions - is this system still worth it and reliable to buy refurbished in 2026? Bear in mind we are replacing a mid-tier system (would have cost abut £350 when the playbar/sub setup in question would have cost £1200) so any better sound is an upgrade.
Does SONOS have anything in the pipeline to replace TuneIn for customer URL’s? Tim C
tl;dr - Switching from SonosNet to Wi-Fi caused my only speaker on Wi-Fi to keep dropping off the network. Back to SonosNet and everything is rock-solid again.I recently decided to give Wi-Fi another chance for my Sonos system since installing a Boost and moving to SonosNet a few years ago. The Boost originally solved all of my problems with speakers randomly dropping off my network, specifically those that were not wired directly over Ethernet.I went through the wizard to disable SonosNet, no errors reported. For a few hours, there were no problems with my system. However, at some point, my only Wi-Fi speaker (a Sonos One SL) became unavailable. I could see from the diagnostic logs on my Ruckus Unleashed system that that speaker was unable to authenticate with my Wi-Fi network. Weird, since it had been running problem-free for at least several hours until it dropped from my network. I power-cycled the system and it came back, only to drop off again about a day later. At that point, ev
This has been a problem since I bought my Sonos system a year ago. I have ca 500 albums on my NAS which equates to about 12,000 tracks. Many of these albums are combination albums with many tracks and all different artists. Sonos splits the album into individual tracks when searching under albums (that is ridiculous imo). Ok so recommendation is to equalise the artist names under, say, Various. I do this using tag editor. Reindexing makes no difference. The original indexing is retained. I have tried removing the music library path and reentering. Still the same. I have tried removing all speakers from system and re adding. Just the same. How on earth is it possible to reindex my library? Where is this old data being stored? If I can delete it then it would have to take revised info from the NAS.
Just read a very helpful thread on ERA300’s ceiling mount Vs In ceiling ….. I have the same issue. Probably easier than the OP on that thread. We have a rectangular room. But with a large triangular corner in glass. Long story, looks nice etc but not ideal for placing speakers. The front viewing wall is perfectly symetrical and has just been rewired so TV, sound bar and other components are perfectly centered as is the viewing settee. The viewing settee has a left hand and right hand 2 seater settee perpendicular to the main viewing settee. So everything is front is peachy. But the rear means the ERA 300 RHS would be over the arm if wall mounted. Not ideal. The LHS one not a problem. Can use floor stands but I’m thinking ceiling mounted on a Flexson and use SW in app to invert the sound? The flexson appears have a long reach such that it could be in a proper position in line with the Arc Ultra. This is the Flexson ceiling mount in question. not the prettiest but maybe works.Install is no
My current home theater setup bought in December 2020 is as followsArc Sound bar Set with 1 x Arc, 1 x Sub 3 and 2 x Era 100 SL.Which one of the component, a Sub 4 or 2 x Era 300 will make the biggest difference. I dont wish change the current soundbar or Sub 3, as that will hurt my budget. I use it for watching TV and playing music from streaming services.
Why did the Sonos S1 Desktop app (windows, mac) is no longer available ? Is this the start of something ?
