HiI've noticed on the new awful app that when I ask alexa to play anything on bbc sounds on my sonos products that it does play but on the app there is no information of what is playing or any logos. If I play bbc sounds from the app it works fine. I've disconnected my bbc sounds account on sonos and reactivated and disabled the sonos and bbc sounds skill on the alexa app. Any ideas?
After having to throw away all of my Sonos 1 equipment, thank you very much, I was stupid enough to buy another Sonos system because I couldn’t find any competitor. It started out mediocre, at best, but then the update from hell happened. It still takes two or three tries to connect, constantly losing connection, etc. Is there any remedy in sight, or should I just chuck the whole thing again and go back to transiters and a coat hanger?
Hello, Seeking advice from the experts here. I recently moved the following to a new location and reset and set everything up as a new Sonos system.3x Play:1 1x SonosOne 1x Sonos RayUnfortunately, the move coincided with the issues Sonos started to have with the new app and this has left me mostly confused. The problems:The system tends to go offline from time to time. One Sonos (Android) app, the entire system will disappear. Sometimes, some speakers will go offline and not show up in the app. Speakers sometimes don’t show up in Spotify Speakers play a track for a few seconds and then skips to the next - can happen for a few songs before things settle down.I suspected a weak network signal that might be causing it so I had my wireless router (issued by my local ISP) relocated to a “central location”. This did not improve the situation. Before the system was moved to this new location, it was part of my setup at home. As I mentioned above, I reset the speakers to factory default a
En la nueva aplicación, ¿alguien puede ayudarme a encontrar la alarma?Esta función es algo que usaba todos los días para reproducir una lista de reproducción de Plex como mi alarma.Qué fastidio. Moderator edit:Google Translate- In the new app, can anyone help me find the alarm? This feature is something I used every day to play a Plex playlist as my alarm. What a pain.
I bought a Beam 2 seven month ago, and the last couple of months the Beam is developing a tinny metalic sound in talking/voice sounds (playing music is still fine, but I think other frequencies are used there, I am sure there is technical / scientific explanation for it). Here is a sound sample example of it:Sonos- donderdag om 19-33.m4aThis is a clip/fragment from youtube: Sonos Era 300 + Arc & Sub: Ultimate Home Audio Experience? - YouTubeSo I found my self more or less forced to buy another new soundbar from Sonos (Why not another brand?; it was black Friday and I already invested in two subs and 2 Sonos surround boxes which are 1500 euro worth, and I hope it is a rare defect) which does not has that problem (and I did not also perceive that distorted effect at other cheap desktop speakers and other (Sonos) speakers, that I possess ).The distortion was less when I placed the sound bar on soft fabric tissues, but unfortunately that did not solve it enough. Anyone an idea what ki
Hi, I have purchased a bluetooth transmitter & receiver: KN321 that i had planned to a to my mixer / turntables, but a cant seem to add the transmitter signal to my SONOS app. I can fairly easily add the device in receiver mode on my iphones bluetooth connection, even receive the transmitter signal (in transmitter mode) from ie. my computer to a set of bluetooth headphones - but the app can’t seem to add the product / signal to my speaker system / sonos app. What to do? Best,/M
Roam not working as stereo pair.
Does anyone know if Sonos is purposely asking their app complete and utter garbage? My assumption is that it’s to push people into buying newer speakers that have airplay (or whichever system android is using). It’s not even usable in it currently state.

Hi everyone,I am a beginner in this field. We got this second hand system in my house. We have Sonos speakers installed in the walls and ceiling. We have an entertainment stand with Apple AirPort Extreme, a switch, a Sonos connect, a Denon AVR-X2600H and a subwoofer. There is another Sonos connect in the pantry room connected to other wall Sonos speaker. I don’t see green light on sono connects and cannot hear sound from speakers. Appreciate any help and assistance.
Is there any chance Sonos can add to the many app repairs a fix for the “Recently Played” banner play list. The app logs me out and I have to log back in with my username and password every morning. Can you please fix this issue. Thanks.

Hi, my current setup for Home System 1 arc 1sub and 2 Era300. I want to add turntable to my current system what is the best option? Add a port, Amp or use my current system. My Era had been disabled for line in. What the best recommendation for pro-ject turntable.
Does anyone know how to access ABC Lounge Radio (from Paris) on Sonos in the UK? I used to be able to access it via MyTunerRadio but that stopped when the new Sonos app was introduced. Thanks
I’ve got an IKEA Symfonisk table lamp. I noticed that at some point it has started to request an IPv6 address via DHCPv6, but it’s doing so with an invalid non-unique DUID (DHCP Unique Identifier). The DUID it’s using is (in hex): 00030001000000000000Decoded, that is a DUID “type 3” (DUID based on link-layer address), with the address type set to Ethernet… but where it should contain the Ethernet MAC address, instead the DUID is set to all zeros.I expect that this non-unique ID might cause problems if someone has multiple Sonos devices in a network with DHCPv6 enabled, although the exact result depends on what DHCP server is in use.For reference, my speaker is currently running the Sonos OS S2, Version 80.1-56190. It is connected via Ethernet cable (WiFi is disabled).
Moderator Edit: Google Translate- Good morningAnother problem: the Sonos must not change sources whenever it likes. When you listen to the radio, and you come across a site with a video that has sound, the radio is cut off... you have to go back into the app to turn your radio back on...really painful and poorly designed!
It takes several attempts to “change the station” in Sonos app/TuneIn. The icons and GUI update to the newly selected station, but the actual audio is the previous station. It only started a couple of months ago, so it’s likely related to a bug in the software update. This topic was created previously - but the discussion was “closed” without any resolution. Did I miss something? Is there a solution for this bug?Previous discussion now closed:
I, like every other Sonos user, lost access to my beloved local music library curated from my personal “hard copy” musical collection and playlists when the new app was released. However, I was a lot better of that most because I had an old iPad with the “old” S2 app which was still able to play from my library. Every time it offered to update I refused point blank for that very reason.Today however it appears that a device update has rendered the old app useless because it is now no longer able to control my Sonos speakers. I consider this an almost underhand and sneaky way to “force” me to use an app which no longer serves the purpose I originally intended it for and renders my expensive speakers a lot less attractive than they were.A fix for this was hinted at being available “mid June” but still no sign. PLEASE, PLEASE, when will this be fixed? And if the answer really is never, please come clean so I can attempt to offload my speakers on to someone who doesn’t need it want the
Horrible. Can’t find system, says update needed for system to work properly, and even the update fails repeatedly. My 30 year old Bose Wave Radio works better than this. WTF sonos? *Moderator Note: Modified title in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.*
I suddenly can’t play my playlists I created on Amazon music. I get requested operation failed. I unplugged all devices. I logged out of Amazon. Still doesn’t work. I see posts about this from 2 years ago but no real solution. HELP! Thank you
The Sonos app “upgrade” was truly bad, but I had hoped it would be getting better. The last couple of weeks is had gotten much worse. It keeps skipping songs, it cuts in and out and volume controls are basically non-existent. You can try and change it on the app, but nothing happens for minutes on end, and when it does, it is wrong. In summary, the Sonos app is pretty much the much frustrating app I have ever dealt with. If it wasn’t because I have invested north of $30K in Sonos products, I would have permanently deleted the app. I saw the letter from the CEO who somehow allowed this to happen. Supposedly it is getting better. It is not what I am seeing. Quite the contrary. I am at a point where I truly HATE Sonos with all my heart!
There is so much saber rattling about how bad, awful or whatever derogatory word you may choose to use describing the past/current state of the Sonos app. Granted the release of the app in May, 2024 was an unfinished product that caused pain and frustration for many customers. Those complaints called for lawsuits and the firing of Patrick Spence and other decision makers who played a part in the botched release. Many customers have vowed to sell their Sonos and move on to another brand as a result. However, you should know that Sonos is not unique in the misstep to release the current app. Other companies have been found lacking in their due diligence to deliver a quality software, OS and/or controller as is the case with Sonos. I’m not going to drag this out by trying to quell your frustrations with Sonos as that will come over time and at different intervals for each individual. For some that time may never come. What I’d ask is that you take a moment to read a customer response from
SENT TO CEO@SONOS.COM I have never been a litigious person in my life but I think I would join in a class action suit against Sonos for What you have done to your users with this new app. You have breached your agreement and trust with customers Rendering in many cases, thousands of dollars of expensive equipment virtually useless. Why in Gods name did you make a major change to an app that has caused such confusion and operational problems. First you introduced it no option of retaining the older app which worked just fine. Then you admitted terrible operational errors that needed multiple fixes and to this day doesnt work well. My music services cut out unexpectedly without recovering. Some of my speakers need multiple restarts to connect. There are substantial connection delays. I have changed channels. rebooted systems multiple times. And called support (who by the way admits there are many many complaints). Whoever is responsible for this massive error should be fired an
