Fix & Optimize

I am having issues with my 4K UHD Blu-Rays playing full Dolby Atmos on my current setup. I play use PS5 that is connected to my Samsung S90F. I have Beam (Gen 2) and SYMFONISK rears that support Dolby Atmos (when streaming or playing games, I have no problem with Atmos.) When I start playing an 4k blu ray with an Atmos track (in this case, Dune: Part 2), my sonos app is saying that it is only receiving "multichannel pcm 5.1" when it should be receiving Dolby Atmos. I saw people suggested selecting "pass-through" on my Samsung TV but this did not help. Any suggestions on what might be going on?

After working great since purchase my Sonos Beam Gen 2 has started switching the TV input back to the Sonos HDMI 1 EARC. Within a couple of minutes of choosing an input for Amazon Firestick it switches back to Sonos. Any ideas on how to fix? I’ve tried unplugging the TV and Sonos. I also tried a new HDMI cable. Hello, I believe my setup should work but I’m missing something. I’m hopeful someone with a similar setup can assist and highlight what I’m missing.  Tv, Apple TV, and sound bar are all up to date.  Hardware:Apple TV 4K (2022) → “4k 120fps hdmi 2.1” cable→ HDMI 1 (enhanced format)  on Sony Bravia 5 2025 K65XR50  Sony Bravia 5 2025 K65XR50 port 3 eARC → same HDMI cable model and length as before → Sonos beam gen 2 (latest firmware) Surround is 1 x Beam gen 2,  2 x ikea symphonik bookshelf speakers as rear audio, and a gen3 subwoofer.   Software settings:Sony TV -> sound (audio settings); Dolby AC-4 dialogue: minDynamic range: standardDTS Dynamic Range: off audio system settings;acoustic center: offaudio system prioritize: offavsync: autodigital output: autoeARC: autooptical digital audio output;optical digital output: offdigital output: Auto I can get Dolby 5.1 all day long but there is no option for atmos on the Apple TV or in apps.  I swapped cables and tried full power cycles.  No

If your Roam 2 speaker has sat without power for some time, does it need to be plugged into a power source for a bit before you can even get the power or status light to come on?

HiI keep looking at Sonos home theatre solutions, but there is one thing stopping me.I already have a traditional Yamaha 5.1 setup with five perfectly good speakers and a sub. I don't want to throw all of that away and spend €4–5,000 on a complete Sonos setup just to get into the Sonos ecosystem.What I would buy, however, is a proper Sonos 5.1 amplifier.Something simple:125W – Left125W – Center125W – Right50W – Surround Left50W – Surround Right+ Sub output / Sonos Sub supportHDMI eARC, Trueplay and normal Sonos integration. That's basically it.The current solution with two Sonos Amps feels a bit overkill. You get 2 x 125W for the front speakers and another 2 x 125W for the surrounds, but still no real center channel.I really don't need 125W per surround speaker. Hi,Since update 85.00.31 (Android) of the app, content from Pocket Casts service is not shown in playlists containing it. Here is the playlist list from my system. The playlist Podkassos currently contains only podcast episodes from the same podcast. The picture generated for the playlist is correctly using the pictures from the episodes.Playlist list When I look at the content of that playlist, the message says there is no content.No content shown in the sonos app The same content shown in the alternative app noson correctly show the content of the playlist.playlist not empty in noson The playlist can be enqueued and played. I am new to the community. I am having an issue with the Music Library and I hope someone can help or explain. i have some CDs that I have ripped that are Sampler CD compilations. I have a number of CDs that I had picked up at various audiophile shows that are sponsored by hifi manufacturers. As an Example, NAIM handed out a CD which contains various artists and tracks. When I index this CD to the library each track is separated from the normal track list and is individually listed in the Artists section. How can I fix this so that these kind of CDs are treated like a normal CD where all the tracks are listed in order?

I know this may sound controversial but I find my Sonos Ray more full bodied in voices compared to the beam 2 which I also have. This is normally experienced during regular TV broadcast, news etc. Voices have a bit more umph and clairty whereas the Beam is cleaner and neutral, well almost flat if you will. Make no mistake, when playing proper Dolby Atmos or 5.1 with some fat “hollywood mixing” the beam is miles ahead.But maybe 85% of the time I just watch the news, stream documentaries, series and listen to people talk. Was is overkill to get the Beam?Bascially what I am missing is a richer, warmer sound in the voice frequencies. Earlier I only had the Beam but now I also have the Ray and can do real comparisons using same TV, same room, same settings and what not. I have also used Trueplay on both. Hello, I take the liberty of asking you because I have a fairly well-known problem that I can't solve.I bought a Sonos Arc Ultra and 2 Era 300 and here is my equipment:-LG OLED 65C1- Panasonic UB820 Blu-ray Player-PS5-Apple TV 4KOn my Panasonic UB-820 player, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital work perfectly but DTS-HD does not convert to PCM 5.1, it is indicated in PCM Stereo!My PS5 can convert DTS audio to LPCM 5.1, and it sounds great!Can anyone help me with this problem? I am trying to reset my Sonos Connect to WiFi after updating my local network. I follow instructions on the Sonos Ap on my iPhone to the point where it tries to joint the temporary network “SONOS.”  But I get a message “unable to join “SONOS.”  Any ideas what I am doing wrong or how to proceed?

When I’m using Spotify connect and I switch song, I have to press two times for it to play. If I press one time it just restarts the song that’s currently playing, then I have to press again for it to play the song I want. Happens to all the speakers.

Hi folks,ive brought a new place and the previous owner left 2x Sonos play:5 speakers. I’m trying to reset them but there is no ‘play’ button on the top of them or ‘join’ button on the back. what can I do?? 

Two speakers Sonos Play:1 bought late 2017how long do we expect them to last?? First speaker ‘died ‘ a few months ago and now 2nd speaker not working as well? Is this common problem how long should they last?? 

I am trying to figure out options for placing the arc ultra soundbar. There is no space underneath the tv. I feel I have to go above and read that you shouldn’t hang it upside down because you can’t change left right. I think the only real option is just above the tv. I know it fires up but I don’t know what else to do. Will it sound bad above the tv? The floor to tv bottom is 48 inches. Tv is 36 inches. Top of tv to ceiling (wall slopes to cieling) is 20 inches. Room is not terribly big and we sit about 9.5 feet from the tv. Thanks in advance. 

Unable to connect to multiple music sources : BBC Sounds, Spotify, TuneIn.   All with error message “Unable to browse music - There was a problem connecting to”.   Some service do work however: Sonos, Absolute Radio, Times Radio.  Plex errors with  - “No Plex media server available”Also unable to add Music Services.  Clicking on icon with no progression.Unable to update - “The Sonos controller installer failed to download - Error Code 42” IMPORTANT - Services all work when accessed via iphone but not MacBook

Since the August 10, 2026 Build 88.00.43-release+20260804.fcdf713 update to the Sonos App the EQ Shortcut on Now Playing Volume controls does not work with Stereo pair One SL or original Sonos Arc. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the app with no luck.I have rebooted all Network devices including the WiFi routerI have removed power from all Sonos devices then powered them back up again. No Luck

Hello, I appreciate that similar topics to this have been listed, but none seem to cover my experiences. An album recently downloaded (with iTunes) was Madonna’s Confessions II_Afterhours edition. It contains 16 tracks on on disc 1 and 6 extras on disc 2. Over the 22 tracks, 15 are solely by Madonna and 7 with different collobrating artists.Within Sonos when I search by artist Madonna, then select confession II album, just the 15 Madonna only tracks are listed.  The other tracks are separetely listed us Madonna plus the collobrating artist. Similarly when I search by albums there are seven listings for that album.  Looking at the properties in itunes there are fields “Album Artist” which in all cases was Madonna, & “artist” which is Madonna plus the collobrating artist. This data is seen using windows file explorer as Album artist (Madonna) & Contributing … (Madonna plus collorating artist). Within Sonos the data in the artist field is Madonna plus collobrating artist. There is

Hi!For several years I have had group-play with Amp, Port, Connect, and 2xRoam enabled.  Has worked great until a firmware update in May (or June) this year.  After that, whenever I add the Amp to the group it shows as all are playing, but the Amp isn’t.  The other units are playing fine.  All devices are up-to-date when it comes to firmware.  I have had high hopes for the recent firmware updates, but no luck there.Sonos Amp: BathroomSonos OS: S2Version: 18.7 (build 96179270)Hardware Version: 1.24.1.12-2.2Series ID: A101 Does anyone else have this issue?  If so, is there a solution? Moderator Edit: Removed serial number.

Here’s a strange one that has got me puzzled.I had a Stevie Wonder album on my NAS but when I went to play it the other day there was only 1 track showing, but listed 3 times.I deleted it from the NAS and re ripped it no problem but when I went to play it, it was still 1 track 3 times. I have even tried deleting it and updating the library via SonoPad app as the Sonos one seems not to work, and then ripping it again.Anything obvious going on please?

My system wax playing find then just stopped wireless connection didn’t change and speakers are showing connected music is selected and indicates it is playing but absolutely no sound coming out of speakers
