Controllers & Music Services

For whatever reason, when playing Cowboy Carter by Beyoncé as an album via Spotify, the song Jolene ALWAYS gets skipped. Going back and selecting the song manually plays just fine, but when playing the album from the beginning, this track is always skipped. Has anyone seen anything like this?

My music library has disappeared since i updated the app. I have sharing set correctly and am connected to the same network but noi dice. Any help would be greatly appreciated

The system always says there was a problem with reinitialising Trueplay and asks me to do it again…which I did several times …I restarted my phone (IPhone 13, iOS 17.6.1), but nothing changed. What can I do?  Reinstall the app?

On ipadpro with all latest app update  & ipados18, and ikea/sonos speakers, there are airplay issues as follows (after deleting and re-installing app and new setup process with speakers which did not fix issues):the within sonos app radio all work ok Roon works ok, despite issues with other apps. all non roon and non sonos apps when selecting the sonos speakers, they seem to connect for about 30 seconds then disconnect with nil sound.so, there is an issue with the intersection of airplay, sonos device or app, and latest apps or ios18.  Using latest sonos app, not legacy. Had previously all worked Ok

Something changed. If I Liked a song on YouTube, it didn’t take long to show on Sonos. Now, it seems to take forever, or doesn’t show up. Any ideas? I have an Era 100

One of the reasons we have 4 Sonos speakers is so I can listen to something in my office while my wife has something else on in her, separate, office.  Now when she has music on, the app won’t even open in my IPhone .  anyone else having this kind of issue? Gotta say Sonos kinda sucks since the update. Hoping to see fixes soon.

I’m using Amazon music service and I’m unable to listen consistently any playlist or individual song. It’s common that after a few minutes I’m receiving the error “X unable to play, the song is not encoded correctly”Is there a solution to this? This is very annoying

I have an S1 system which is locked off from the internet, as I only wish to use my own purchased CDs/tracks held on a NAS.Sonos cannot cope with my library, so I have to move out old content to make way for new content. This has been working fine for a number of years.I recently made space for some new tracks and reindexed. Although the indexing finished each time, indicated by Idx Trk being blank on both units that were powered on, the files are missing. The new directory is there, but without any files. The test set at the moment is one flac file, one purchased mp3 and a converted mp3 off of youtube.I’m still looking at possible causes, but if anyone has any ideas, I’d be grateful.

L’application Sonos elle voulait pas connecter avec le baffe je sais pas pourquoi Moderator edit:Google Translate-The Sonos app didn't want to connect with the speaker, I don't know why.

I just updated Sonos app… I am using Apple, but it keeps forgetting all my settings.  Every change I make in the software it just resets itself and even after I do true play retuning it’s asking me for back speaker distance (Under 2 feet up to 10 feet etc.) Is this just an update Bug or am I missing something?  and sorry i’m using siri to text lol so apologies about the grammar.  it’s also like removing my loudness turned on and any adjustments I made to height basically everything

I set up a system for a client, (7 amps, 2 Beam bars so far) this week using current android app. The transfer ownership function will open, go to 2nd page and freezes there. All equipment software is up to date. I have deleted then added back the app, cleared cache, restarted phone but app will freeze when I try to transfer. Aby ideas?

My system worked fine through the phone app and the Mac app until recently.  I was already struggling to get everything working everywhere even before the recent phone app updates due to changing from a BT broadband router to Sky.  I have tried many variations and my best so far is almost good enough.  I have tried full wi-fi but ultimately Sonosnet gives the best result.  The only place the phone app won’t work is in the room where my computer and router are.  This wouldn’t be a problem if the app for Mac still worked but it won’t connect.  My question is,  does the Mac app for Sonos work with the current system?  If not is it planned to update it?  By the way I can connect and fully operate the system on the web via Safari but it was more convenient in a separate app.

I use Pocket Casts and BBC Sounds to log podcast series or episodes to listen to and then play them via the API in the Sonos app (iPad/iPhone). Since the major update earlier in the year both these integrations stopped showing the playing or played status of podcast episodes making it a much worse experience electing the next available episode to listen to or continue listening to.I’ve been in touch with Pocket Casts a month or two back and they are aware of the issue which they claim is entirely Sonos’ making - I am sure this is correct. Is it possible to get an update on this?Do Sonos intend to fix this or should we assume this rather large “Ha ha F U podcast listeners using BBC Sounds and Pocket Casts (I don’t know about other services but assume they may be impacted) keep guessing we ain’t going to fix it for ya”?Many thanks fellow Sonos investors

In the iPhone app I can't find the slide to set the synchronisation of speech with the lip while in the iPad app there is, is it a bug of the iPhone app?

My Napster connection as failed! I’ve tried rebooting the system, I have deleted Napster from the system now I can’t reconnect to Napster keeps telling me to check my internet connection!my system is playing all of my Apple Music so I’m not sure it’s my internet!!!any help ???

I can no longer search YouTube Music from the Sonos app. No matter what search term I enter it tells me there are no results. See examples below. I have reauthorized and removed and reinstalled the YTM account all to no avail. Anyone have any suggestions?Another annoyance is that when I try to call Sonos support I keep getting disconnected before I speak to anyone.

When I change the individual or total group volume in the iOS Sonos app, I can see the sliders for each speaker jump around and I can hear various speakers leave and re-enter the group. Sometimes it settles on the volume I set. Often it doesn’t.Also, more than once I’ve had to stitch off and switch on speakers so that they can be found by Sonos.

As you might have read elsewhere, neither Pocket Cast nor TuneIn can play podcasts produced by Slate and NPR (and probably others) through the S1 controller -- “unable to play - connection was lost” error messages. I’ve had conversations with the very nice Pocket Cast folks, even though I added that I wouldn’t be re-subscribing when my current year ran out, but nothing we tried worked. Those seem to be my only podcast-streaming options for these particular shows. And, unfortunately, I can't update my system to accommodate S2 for now.Maybe you know a secret…?

I lost the national radio stations Radio France, especially France Inter. it is a major problem to me and I cant to sell back the system if I cannot recover.I can get France Inter in Chinese but I am French! It is really a basic to be able to listen to the radio!

Recently updated iPad to iOS 18 now although Global Player is showing on Music Services it will not play any music. In addition can’t add the new Rayo App it just tells me that I am not connected to the internet. I know the system is works as I can play music from Spotify and from BBC Sounds.

When I open the Sonos app, I am getting an error message that says “unable to load Content”. How do I fix this?

Interesting issue. Since the new app cant add music library from hdd attached to an asus router whilst using the android app.I keep getting permission denied messages (possibly because sonos seems to insist you type all details in and won't accept pasting) or it accepts the shared path and login id /password but then just hangs on the add share screen. The shared path is //router name/MusicUnder Music there are subfolders for each band.If I select one band and add it, hey presto that bands albums/tracks are all added and play fine. However if the band name has a space in the name  the add option hangs and nothing is addede.g. //router name/Music/Led ZeppelinIt therefore appoears that Sonos cannot cope with the subfolders having a space in the name at that level and that is stopping the addition of the whole library. If I try and add the library from a PC using the windows app I get a message that the location of the share has moved. This is complete nonsense and poor error reporting by So

I’ve seen quite a few comments from fellow Sonos users having this issue where Napster is the primary streaming service on their Sonos and it no longer works, but I’ve not seen any suggestions to resolve this from Sonos on the forum.   This is the error message below that I’m getting. Since the large update on Sonos the app has been pretty dire.

We were told app updates were coming every two weeks. Well, it’s been over two weeks since the last one and nothing.Does anyone know what’s going on?

After finally biting the bullet and updating all my Sonos apps, I’m having issues accessing my MyCloud NAS drive which I use to host my music library.WIndows desktop app and web version can access and play music from NAS, all be it that Windows desktop shows album art but web version doesn't.Android app seems to recognise music library but says something went wrong when trying to find or play anything.IOS app doesn’t even recognise music library at all.Path to music library is same on all apps.Andy ideas what’s going on?
