Controllers & Music Services

I’ve seen variations of this problem specifically with spotify going back at least 4 years. Does anyone yet know if this is a sonos or spotify issue? In my case the service connects fine, but after 3 or 4 songs sonos starts skipping songs with a “file not found” error, and eventually stops after skipping several. I can correct it by manually pushing play on any song on the playlist and it resumes fine (for a short time).Based on what I’ve read elsewhere a few clarifications:affects both spotify only and mixed source playlists when spotify songs are included (and only breaks on spoitfy songs). I’m using spotify as the service within the sonos app. Phone or PC app does not make a difference. I’ve already unplugged and rebooted the entire sonos system I’ve removed and readded the spotify service No other service I use (including local NAS files) has this problem I have a very robust home ubiquity unifi wifi network with no connection issues on any devices and all 13 sonos speakers have re

Hi  I’ve been trying to add YT Music to Sonos S1 app but I’m getting Connection Error.  I’ve tried multiple times, logged out from the app and logged in again, uninstalled the Sonos S1 app and installed again.  Nothing helped.  I have other services added, Sverige Radio, Spotify, SoundCloud andd TuneIn.  Please advise how to resolve adding the YT Music service.Rgrds://Ingvaldur

They’ve had a long time to fix it, but its still unstable and lack elemental features. Have they learnt nothing? After trying to connect a new unit several times today I was left with several new rooms in the app, all unavailable because the unit crashes, but I can’t delete the rooms because the unit is not connected. Huh? Basic UX principles should be applied.

For the past couple of months, I’ve been having trouble with Audible. I’ve been an Audible user since 2000, and I’ve played it on Sonos for almost that long. It is only recently that I’ve had a problem. The book will suddenly stop. Sometimes it will start again but at random places. It could pause at 3 minutes into the chapter, then start again at 2 minutes from the end. When it starts again, the timer shows it is still at 3. When it gets to the end, it might go to the next chapter or back to a random place in the chapter.A couple of months ago, it wasn’t this bad. It would just pause and then resume on its own. I thought that one of the speakers heard its wake word. I have two Sonos smart speakers. I also have several Google and Amazon smart speakers around the house. I no longer think that is the problem. That is why I’m asking the community for help.

Something went wrong when removing your accounts. Please try again.

I have an ARC Ultra in my living room and a Ray in my bedroom. When I use the iOS app to try to start music in the bedroom, I get an error the like “The connection to the server timed out” or “Something went wrong.”When I use the app to try to start music everywhere, it plays in the living room but not the bedroom.Once I have it playing in the living room, I can use the voice assistant to group everywhere, and once it’s playing everywhere I can stop it in the living room and keep playing it in the bedroom. What’s going on? Can I fix it or do I just live with the workaround?

I had some network issues and had to reset my wifi router. Since do this, I’ve been logged out of my Sonos app on my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and I can’t log in again. When I hit the link to log in, the app opens a blank page in my browers and stops there. Occasionally I do get to a page where I can enter my email and password, but it won’t progress any further from that.

Hi…here‘s something I found today on DE community. A User was reporting the following.(translation used)„While a track (Spotify) is running, I can no longer access Song Radio. Always comes: Connection to Spotify was disconnected????I then have to switch to the Spotify app, the title Search there and then start the song Radio. Then it works. But it's cumbersome and it used to work via the Sonos app 🤔“ I have carried out further tests and can now say with a high probability that it is probably a current bug of the Sonos function "Title Radio", which is implemented by some services.I tested it with Deezer and Spotify each via the current versions of the Sonos app for iOS and Android.Result with Sonos App on iOS:- Title Radio works with Spotify- Title Radio does not work with DeezerResult with Sonos App on Android:- Title Radio does not work with Spotify- Title Radio does not work with Deezer With Spotify on Android I get the same error message as the user mentioned above. With Deezer, Andr

I am an avid UK based BBC Radio 3 listener and until last week constantly had my two Sonos systems linked to the BBC sounds app as a connected service via BBC Sounds. Now it’s stopped linking. I can play BBC Sounds and then Airplay to one Sonos Ray speaker and sub but not to the Play:5. Anyone know what’s changed. I assume some software upgrade. Will it be fixed?

Recent update to Sonos app on Android and now cannot see controls anywhere except within the app itself. No lock screen controls, nothing in notifications bar, physical volume buttons don't control volume. Anyone else experiencing this? Pixel 5 with Android 14.

The Sonos App is completely unresponsive. I have tried deleting app, reinstalling, turning off WiFi, turning on but the App still is useless for me.

my system was working properly for long time but totally disconnected recently. So i tried to set up new system and reset all devices but still cant build new system despite that sonos app confirmed every new connected device. Previously i saw all devices connected and i could build theathre set up for tv but now i cant even see all devices…

My recommend tracks and albums on tidal are up to date with new music, but when I access via sonos the content hasn't changed in months. I have reauthorised etc but no change? Any advice welcome

I cannot connect my SONOS products to my new WIFI Router (Asus RT-BE58U) which I made sure was Sonos compatible. Have router set to 2.4 GHz; have tried resetting router and modem. When I select “update network” and get “let’s update wifi settings prompt….with list of speakers. I select and add a speaker, and (after bouncing balls) press join button and finally enter password. At this point prompt says “make sure you reusing the correct password.” Have tried this many, many times with most of the speakers in the list…same result. I know password is correct as I  have added laptop, desktop and printer to the network with this password. Next thought, add Sonos boost to setup, Same result???

Since I returned from a short holiday this week the (updated) apps on my iPhone and iPad do no longer show my music services (or recently played - but that does not bother me as much). I see the app looking for the services (first picture) but after a few seconds it just gives up and just shows blank avatars (that do not work) for the services. This makes the app useless. Has anyone come across this phenomenon? Did you find a cure?

I have just had to reconnect my Play1 and Play3 and all of me old SONOS playlists have been removed ?? Can i get them back ??

Sonos Arc here.  Pretty much at my wits end on setting up my Sonos Arc using Trueplay.  Trueplay worked fine right out of the box.  Since then have rearranged some furniture in the room and wanted to run Trueplay again.  Now has background noise problems when I try to run it.  Everything turned off, everything has been rebooted, access to my iPhone 14 microphone is fine, but every time I try to run it there is always a background noise error message. Nothing is running.  No one is making any noise.  Very annoying.  The one thing I have not done is to call Sonos.  That will probably be my next step.

I am running a Sonos S1 controller with a series 1 Sonos 3, Sonos 5 and Connect.I have been trying to set up a music library on my Western Digital NAS, MyCloud Home, but keep getting the reponse error 900 which then wants me to change the server stack in my windows registry. Is this for real? Surely there must be some other way?

I attempted to listen to a Pandora station and nothing is happening.  I’ve removed my pandora account and readded but still unable to stream.  I’ve rebooted by Sonos speaker and no luck.  I can stream SiriusXM but not Pandora.I have verified that Pandora is working through the Pandora app.I’ve tried on both an Android app and from a Mac Mini and both show the same thing.Errors I’m getting have been Network issues or something went wrong.Anyone else experiencing this?  I’ve submitted diagnostics *********.Moderator edit: Recorded and removed diagnostics number

Hi Why doesn't Sonos release a Sonos music app like Spotify? Seamless music in 24bit quality.Would maybe solve a lot of issues with various music apps.Maybe one day?

Can’t submit diagnostics report. Spotify not working through Sonos S2 or Spotify Connect. This is a constant problem.  reset products. Reset wifi. Tried everything. I feel like this is a major flaw in the S2 app that continues to get worse.

Nine months ago, I posted a question about the missing custom URL feature, which disappeared after the catastrophic update in June 2024. I received a few unsatisfying responses, and nothing has improved since then.I originally bought my system because I could listen to a blues radio service that was, in my opinion, exceptionally well curated. Then June 2024 came, and since that update, I’ve had to rely on TuneIn+ and use rather cumbersome workarounds just to access my custom URLs. Unfortunately, those URLs now disconnect frequently—often several times an hour—and the service is reported as unavailable although it works perfectly. And for the “experts”: this is not a problem with my network, internet connection, or any firewall issue. I can listen to the same radio station on my smartphone or tablet for days without a single interruption connected to the same network (no 4G or 5G connection). So, it seems clear that the issue lies somewhere in the combination of Sonos and TuneIn+. I would

Having had Sonos for several years I’m deeply dissatisfied with seeing large distirbing bugs still exists… for instance:one app user starts a playlist from one phone with app. Another user starts her app and selects the room that is playing - and the playlist switches to the Music last played at phone 2 last room… that is ridiculous… or starting playing from line in in (turntable) in room x and double the sound to another room freezes the entire system (all rooms disappear for about a minute). And the slowness of the ui in general- thats another thing… and integration with Apple Music where it seems tobe almost a manual task to find a playlist for example eg. no search… Are there any “get rid of this none-working-software” in scope or is just a term for using Sonos as it is in 2025. feel free to comment - I’m just about to give up as it seems the buglist is endless and bugs er Way to Big in my opinion.

Hi,i have deleted the alarms i set on the app on my lap top and I then re set them. I am still getting the sonos Chime alarm - the speakers are Play gen 1If i then push the pause button on the speaker - the chime alarm stops. The alarm i have set via the app on my lap top plays / kicks in - for example the radio channel i have chosen. how do i stop the Sonos Chime Alarm ?
