Controllers & Music Services

Hello,I use to play music in my restaurant with Sonos Radio, but since yesterday the service give me an error everytime I select a Sonos Radio station.I’m not able as well to subscribe to the Sonos Radio HD service by the subscription page.

been using Sonos for years and suddenly, 1 week ago, I was not able to update my Music Library (usb connected to the Router as a NAS).Sonos App says “//XXX.XXX.XXX.X/MP3_Router’ is no longer available. The device storing your music files may not be turned on, or the path may have changed.”nothing changed, Router, network, settings…..any idea what it could be?

I know this is a long shot, but is there any chance that Sonos could develop a simple app for WearOS? It wouldn’t even have to be full featured: simple play/pause/ffwd/rew controls would be great. We had a simulacrum of this with the old Sonos app, which correctly registered as a media player with Android so it could be controlled from the notification shade and the lockscreen, which meant it could also be controlled by the watch, but this has been gone ever since the new app came out.

Hi everyone,I wanted to check if anyone else has run into this kind of situation. Over the weekend, I was at home trying to manage a few things at once and noticed how dependent some everyday tasks have become on apps and cloud access. At the same time, I was having trouble checking my Bank balance because the branch was closed and the app was slow to refresh. What stood out was that I also had trouble using certain features in the Sonos app during that period. Music playback worked locally, but account related sections and some controls were slow or failed to load until the connection stabilized again. It made the whole experience feel fragile when multiple services are slightly degraded rather than fully offline.I am curious how others here handle situations like this. Do you rely on local playback setups or specific Sonos app settings to reduce dependency on real time service access? I am trying to understand how much resilience I can realistically expect from the system during parti

I use sonos for playing old cds from music library. It now seems that it has duplicated albums and juggled the order of tracks around.Very frustrating as playing cds was the main reason to buy sonos.I can't face dealing with support again as it wastes loads of time. Any ideas how to rectify the duplicate album issue? ( they're OK on the laptop , so it's not the source material).  I have updated the app ( samsung A54) and the laptop plus tried to update the music library to no effect. This is subsequent to the phone app crashing a couple of days ago with message it's due to a bug.  Retry when developer resolves bug.  Also some songs have gone missing from sonos but are in the source directories  Has anyone any suggestions as to how resolve this?

Was having trouble giving Sonos S1 access to my iTunes library hosted on TrueNAS Community Edition 25.10.1 (Goldeye) and figured it out with information from this forum and the TrueNAS forum, so posting this to help others that are also struggling.Step 1: Configure the SMB service in TrueNAS to “Enable SMB1 support” and “NTLMv1 Auth”. Security folks will tell you this is insecure, and it is in 2026. Anyhow, let’s continue.Step 2: Create your SMB share in TrueNAS and give it proper permissions (not documented here. If you are using TrueNAS you probably know how to do this already)Step 3: In the SONOS app, add the TrueNAS network share to your music library.Step 4: Wait for music to syncStep 5: Try to play music from your library. You should be able to browse your collection, but when you go to play a file, it will fail with “Unable to play <song file>, access to <network share> denied”Step 6: Go to your shell in TrueNAS and run:cliservice smb update smb_options="unix extensi

System has 15 devices and all running latest Sonos software.  Been a long time user (10+ years) and been through a lot of bumps over the years.  Right now running Mac OSX Tahoe 26.2 on a M4 Mac.  Both iPad and iPhones work flawlessly all the time, but the Mac about every 2-3 weeks cannot find my system.  I am so tired of the usual restart everything ( router, computer, speakers, amps, etc) that I want to trash the whole system.  If I'm sitting at my office and using only my computer I can rarely control the system.  Why the simplicity of the iOS and the lack of OSX reliability.   Haven’t changed a thing in the house, running fiber at 1GB same as always, with good coverage everywhere.  I refuse to run all over and disconnect and reconnect for 2-3 weeks of use, someone explain why one works and the other doesn’t.   All I hear is that must be a network issue, but if iPads running only on WiFi work why not the Mac?

Hello! Not sure if it's Mac OS related or Sonos app related but I can no longer find my system on my Mac mini. My iPhone works fine and my MacBook Pro also works fine discovering the system. I have deleted the app and reinstalled, made sure network and firewall access was enabled and still nothing. Anyone have similar issue with a fix?

I have started to notice that new playlists when created in Apple Music are not syncing or even appearing in the playlist option in my Sonos app. if Io delete an old playlist is is removed and disappears from the list on both app and desktop. but if I recreate it, it is not seen anywhere apart from inside Apple Music on the Mac or iPhone.I have removed everything app / service from both Mac & iPhone but it has made no difference, also I am getting duplicated playlist I have 4 copies of the “Favourites” I am using S2 system with iOS 26.2 and latest Sonos app and firmwareI have tried everything I can think ofAnybody got any ideas?

I changed my email and logged in with my wife’s, for 10 days I listened to any South African radio station. A week back out of the blue I was unable to stream anything but uk stations excluding all other international radio stations. So please do not tell me it is not blocked by Sonos. I have 5 speakers on the Sonos 2 controller standing there like white elephants. Why can google stream foreign radio stations, and not sonos. We invested large sum of money in systems that are useless. Why are the international facilities available but not functional?I spent 4 hours on a live chat to US yesterday just to finally tell me I need to call UK they will look into it?

Trying to play music from itunes on my pc through my Sonos Era 300.It would appear itunes is able to identify the speaker, but when selected there is no output. The Era 300 is labelled “Living Room”

Både når jeg tilføjer tjenesten eller vil afspille en DR kanal får jeg denne fejl.Er der andre, der har samme problem og måske en løsning?Anlægget er opdateret og genstartet.Andre tjenester, fx CBC eller NRK virker fint.

Note! This was discussed previously but the request was misunderstood by Sonos staff so I’m creating a new topic.Sonos used to support Last.fm scrobbling (i.e. Track My Music – storing the user’s listening history to the Last.fm service) but this was deprecated in the new app. Please re-enable scrobbling.Info: https://www.last.fm/about/trackmymusic – they even list Sonos on that page :(

Each time I turn on Sonos radio, or change stations, it plays for a minute or so, then jumps back about 20 seconds & repeats what's just played. Just once each time then plays normally.Anyone else had this issue? Any suggestions for a fix??I tried resetting both speakers (One & Roam). Haven't reset modem as I'd then have to set up all other 'smart' things. Thanks in advance!

I’m getting the Couldn’t play Sonos Radio try again message. How do I fix it?

I thought all the Apple Music playback issues are resolved since the meltdown. But apparently not. New install of Beam Gen2, when playing back from Apple Music playlist, every 4th song or so it will loose the connection be quiet for 10s and then reconnect and pickup the rest of the song or skip to the next one. Quiet annoying.Beam is connected to very good Enterprise WiFi network, and the TV it’s connected to has no network issues. Is this a latency issue, since I’m not US based? Maybe device trying to use US cloud back-end needlessly? Or something else that isn’t well engineered.Quit disappointed.

Hi all,I tried many time after updating to iOS 26 and wanted to connect with Sonos app to my Sonos play 1. But it does not work and even when I connect cable it works but once I take out the cable again it is gone and not working. Anyone know the issue ? Thanks

Just seeing if there is anybody else having issues with Apple Music not being updated via Sonos app. It’s been a week now and new music I’ve added to Apple Music is not visible when I open the Sonos app. I’ve done every possible remedy , delete app / re install , re authorise Apple Music , switch everything off and then on again etc. could it be recent iOS updates ? . Issue is on three iOS devices that I use for Sonos .

The title says it all - why can I not find podcasts via any music streaming service in the Sonos app? I found a lot of comments saying it was Spotify’s code but it is the same for apple music and tidal which leads me to believe it might be something on Sonos’ side? Or did one service just say no to allowing it and the others followed suit? Either way it seems odd and frustrating because it doesn’t allow me to use my Sonos system to its full capability. I have to Spotify connect to a speaker or group, but then if I want to play a song somewhere else in the home, Spotify pauses the podcast and won’t allow two simultaneous things playing. What is the reason behind no podcast support?

Hi - I must be missing something, because it’s not even possible that one can’t simply save an existing queue as a playlist!  Right?  So somebody please tell me what I’m missing, must be in front of my face, no? Thanks.

I have an External SSD drive connected to my Del Windows 11 laptop, and would like to share the drive to my sonos system. I have tried the solution that one of the members solved, however still at an dead end. Any assistance greatly appreciated. Thanks old analog head.

I open the app on Windows desktop. It says:“We need to get Sonos running on the latest software. Choose Check for Updates to get started.”I click Check For Updates. It says:“No update required. Your Sonos system is up to date.”I click Done. But then it goes back to “We need to get Sonos running on the latest software.”I click More Options. I click “Continue using the Sonos App.”It says “Some of your products aren’t registered to your Sonos account. Let’s register them now so you can use them.”I click Register Your Products. I have to sign in, I do.It says “No update required. Your Sonos system is up to date.”I click Done.I’m back at “Some of your products aren’t registered...” Now there isn’t any option to continue. Ok, so it’s stuck in a loop here. I close the app. I open the app again. It takes a minute, but it opens normally. Mind you, the system was playing music the whole time. This is only affecting the app. The kicker? This happens every single time I go to open the app. I can sk

I get “operation failed” when I try to like a song on Pandora

Hi all,I’m hoping for some advice after an S1 - S2 migration has gone wrong.I bought an Era 300 and a Port today. I also had two legacy S1 devices (Connect + Play:5 Gen 1), which I removed and factory-reset using the S1 app. I couldn’t upgrade my existing system to S2 as it said my remaining devices could only be S1 compatible, so Sonos Support advised a full manual reset of my remaining 4 speakers and rebuild. After rebuilding: Play:1 and Play:3 added fine Era 300, Port, and two older speakers, another Play 1 and One completed setup and updates, but failed at the final step and show as unregistered in the app and couldn’t be added to my Sonos account Things I’ve tried: Router reboot Ethernet connection during setup for those devices that have them Power cycling all devices Restarting iPhone/iPad Reinstalling / restarting the app Has anyone seen this before, or know what blocks registration when setup itself completes? Any ideas welcome — I’m stuck with half a working system a
