Hi,My current library is on a synology NAS.Somethimes i recieve rerror messages that the song / file is not found anymore.also i noticed that some added songs don’t show up in the sonos library. When i check the size of the music folder on the nas it has: 42.442 files. So this should be below the sonos limitation of 65.000 tracks. Alternative, what solutions are there to add a 2nd library to exceed the 65,000 track limit? in the past i tried setting up the Plex media server on the nas but that didn’t worked wel for me in DSM 6,x.. maybe it’s now better with DSM 7,x ?
I'm new to Amazon Music on my Sonos system. I've noticed that when I start music from the Sonos app the player shows an HD or UHD marker. However, after a couple hours of music the marker no longer appears on songs I know are HD or UHD. Anyone else notice this? Any thoughts on the cause? Solutions?
I have the following issue:I found a curated playlist using Apple’s iOS “Music” app.Playlist is named “Club des années 80 : les indispensables” (my iPhone configured in French). Now I want to play it using Sonos iOS app, but the issue is that it won’t show when searching…After trying and trying (and trying...) I finally found out that:The playlist “Club des années 80 : les indispensables” also as an English name that’s “80’s Club Essentials” If I input the English name on the Sonos iOS app search box, I then get the “Club des années 80 : les indispensables” result offered. So, there’s somehow an issue in my Sonos iOS app: it will search only the English name of playlists but it will display results with the “local name” for the language the controller app is running (i.e French on my iPhone (configured in French). Is this a bug? or can I configure somewhere the language used for searches?I’ve checked my iOS Sonos app preferences, there’s with French as primary language.(iOS 15.3 / Sonos
I was told that in order to play Amazon Music in HD or UHD on my Sonos Beam/Ones system I must use the Sonos app. True? When I play my music using the Sonos app I only see the HD/UHD notation sporadically, even with AM playlists of all HD/UHD songs. Occasionally I see the notation appear mid-song. Normal? I would much prefer to use the AM app since I'd be doing all my music searches and curating from that app.
I am receiving the “Unable to Browse Music” Spotify error that has been written about and previously resolved. I have no issues with my other music services. Spotify results are returned when using the general Sonos app search feature (i.e. when I search for music using the magnifying glass) but when I attempt to use the Spotify app located within Sonos to search for music, I repeatedly receive “Unable to Browse Music” message (I can’t see any of my playlists etc.). This issue started occurring very recently and is the same whether I am accessing Sonos from my iphone or Mac. I have deleted and added the native Spotify app again (and again) on both my iphone and my computer - I also deleted/re-added Spotify within the “services” section of the Sonos app on both my phone and my computer. Spoke to Sonos tech support who was - per the usual - super helpful and patient but after a ~60 minute call, the issue persists. Suggestions?
Hi thereI have a NAS drive where I store my music files which has been working fine for years with Sonos.Recently when I add files to the NAS and thus want to Update the Music Library via the Desktop App I get a “Music Files not Found” error as if Sonos cannot see the drive or the path. But Sonos CAN see the drive because it can play existing music files in the library. I can see the drive and contents via Windows Explorer on the same laptop as I am running the Sonos Desktop from.Nothing has changed that I know of in the Sonos set up or firewall settings etc. I haven’t done any Firmware updates on the NAS drive and it’s not visible externally so I don’t think any external updates have happened automatically.Sonos Controller and Sonos Music Library are showing on the list of Windows Allowed Apps with the Domain, Public & Private boxes all checked,I tried removing and adding the drive via Sonos Settings - it cannot see it (although it CAN as it happily plays music from it!)Any help gr
I just switched to Amazon Music from Spotify. When I try to play music to my Beam 1 / Ones setup I get a verbal error message. Music won't play. Music works fine using the Sonos app. Is there a setting I need to update to use AM directly? Second question: I was told that in order to play Amazon Music in HD or UHD I must use the Sonos app. True? When I play my music using the Sonos app I only see the HD/UHD notation sporadically, even with playlists of all HD/UHD songs. Occasionally I see the notation appear mid-song. Normal?
Hi.When I play songs on Amazon Music Unlimited I get the following encoding error messages (below): I assume it is to do with my Internet connection even though I have a fibre optic connection rated at 150 Mbps. The only way I can get the songs to play without errors is to connect to my smartphone with my Sky Q digibox via Bluetooth.Has anyone got any idea of what is going on?Cheers. My system consists of a Sonos Arc soundbar and a Sonus Sub (Gen 3)
Not sure if anyone else is experiencing issues with Sonos Music Library and the Synology NAS becoming unresponsive or very sluggish, or with random speakers disappearing from the S2 app. I recently enabled the Music Library feature in Sonos (before the 13.4.1 update in Dec 2021 which introduced SMB3 support). At that time, I configured my Synology NAS to use SMB1 to allow the connection to work. I was on DSM Version: 7.0.1-42218 and running S2 13.3.2. Somewhere around 11/25/21, my Synology started going offline and become unresponsive. I was running a DS1517+ with 2GB of RAM and noticed that the SMB process was eating a lot more RAM than usual. Also, started seeing thousands of connections from the Sonos speakers, multiple times for each speaker. My Sonos updated to 13.4, but the issue still remained.I opened a case with Synology and they determined that the Sonos speakers were opening hundreds of connections per speaker and leaving the connections open. This was slowly draining the me
Please get this sorted out. We have been loyal sonos customers for ten years or so and add a new speaker annually. You must be able to keep youtube playing at the same level by now. I have faith that your brilliant techs can do it. Give it to us please! Some videos/ audio plays at a mumble then the next blasts on at stadium concert level. Please keep them at the same volume we set our speakers. I know you can do it This is ridiculously annoying. Thank you for your help
Hi Just changed over to Sky broadband and my play 1 is connected to new network but it keeps telling me it cannot connect to Tunein nor play any radio stations via Tunein. Was working fine before network change. Tried re-booting but no luck. Any advice or suggestions?
Sonos Connect, Playbar, 3 speakerRunning in a stable fashion for many years- but in the last couple weeks lost all Sirius stations greater than Channel 500. They no longer appear in the list of available channels, and clicking on a channel from the Favorites list returns an error. The Connect is controlled by 2 updated iphone apps or via a Mac. Same limitation on all three. The channels above 500 are available via the Sirius phone apps as well as website- all using the same log-in credentials.Already deleted Sirius service via Sonos settings, and then added back with no good result.Any thoughts on a fix? Thanks!
I have been unable to browse my SiriusXM favorites for at least 3 days now. When i enter Sirius favorites there is a message: Unable to browse music. This error was noted on the Sonos Status web yesterday (January 21). Today it says all systems are operational… they are not. It’s till down for me.
I’m new to Sonos and bought a Roam because I want to stream my Android phone, iPad and Macbook without endless bluetooth pairing/unpairing. The Ipad and Mac work brilliantly but I’m disappointed that it’s only specific apps I can stream from my phone. I had assumed that I’d be able to stream any audio I wanted from my phone. I listen to French radio stations - which aren’t available within the Sonos app. Is Bluetooth the only way I can do it?
Just upgraded to a new ASUS RT-AX3000 Router and got everything working included my SONOS system. Then wen moving the Music USB drive to the ASUS router and setting it up per the helpful into on this forum, it seems to work for about 5 secs and then throughs the following message...” Music Files Not Available - '(music server path)’ is no longer available. The device where the music files are stored may not be powered on, or the path may have changed.” The device is powered on and the path was not changed. Hello, I’ve seen the same question in this forum but all threads that I clicked on have been closed so I’m starting a new one because this is a new issue for me that just started occurring about a week ago. I have tried solutions suggested on the Sonos website and in the closed threads but nothing works.I have been using my current set up for over 6 months. Nothing has changed in terms of new equipment in the house or any new potential interference. I have very strong wifi with a booster and today’s download speed is 531Mbps. I have restarted my router, removed Spotify from Sonos and re-added it. I can play music directly from Spotify to my Sonos speakers without an issue but every time I use the Sonos app to play from Spotify I experience issues from the get go. It won’t even play one song. Stops after a few seconds, skips to the next song, another few seconds of sound, then skips again and so on. The message I get from Sonos app is that my wifi is unstable - that is false. I check m
I have a number of local playlists stored using Itunes on a local drive. They appear correctly on my iPhone se (1) but not on my iPad. If I launch one on my phone it appears as playing on the iPad and I can chop and change the music. But does not appear as a played item when next I use the iPad. Driving me mad. This is a relatively recent phenomenon.
I see many posts from over a year go on how Youtube music (premium or otherwise) does not show our playlists. WHAT is the status on this? I just ported all my playlists from Spotify because its awful, only to learn about this issue.I am unable to see only 3 of my playlists. Has there been a fix to this?
On my sonos beam. Why is the quality of the Spotify app so bad. When the beam is playing Spotify from a TV app it sounds good. From the sonos app using Spotify sounds. Terrible with no bottom end. I have seen loads of complaints about this but no. One from. Sonos had adequately answered. I now. Have to have the TV running. Spotify and run Spotify from there to get decent sound quality surely after years of. People complaining. Someone should have an adequate solution to this.
