Music library not available
Hi I have just started having problems with the music library which isn’t available.Library is on macbook pro iTunes library and when I go to ‘add library ‘ the path is clearly shown.I’ve tried updating the library with no luck.Same problem on laptop, iPad and iPhone all using the S2 controller and paired Sonos ones.Sonos radio is available and Spotify too just no music library. A real puzzle so any help appreciated.
No Longer Seeing YouTube Music (YTM) Created Playlists
I am a premium subscriber to YouTube Music (YTM). I love the playlists that YTM provides and maintains. I have added many of them to my Library for quick reference. Yesterday, all of the YTM created playlists are no longer appearing in my Library through the Sonos app and the Sonos application on my Mac. They DO still exist when I connect directly to YTM.I spent a decent amount of time with Sonos Support last evening resulting in an open case, currently with no resolution. Did this happen to anyone else?
Apple Music through Sonos S2 controller
I am experiencing a problem that both Apple and Sonos will not accept exists. Using apple music through the Sonos controller on all my apple devices I get the same result when trying to access activity playlists. When I make a selection, for example Chill, I get a message saying ‘No selections are available’ Only two of the subheadings on my list have music tracks available. That is Classic and Sleep all the remaining headings return the same message. Apple insist its a Sonos problem and vice versa. Anyone else experiencing the same thing? I have tried all the reboots and delete and reloads to no avail.
Scrobbling to last.fm is no longer working
For about two days now the music I play through my Sonos system is not scrobbling to last.fm. Looking at the settings shows I’m still logged in and it should be working. Anyone else having this problem? I have already toggled the service, reset my login, even reinstall my desktop controller.
S2 unable to connect to Apple Music.
I cannot connect S2 to my apple music account on the iOS beta. Not working on my iPhone 11 Pro or iPad. Will switch to music app and make sure I am logged in to Apple music. Then I either get a we’re having a problem error in apple music or get an error in sonos saying I need to update to the newest music app.
No longer able to play any music from My Library on my PC
I know get the “song is no longer encoded correctly” error message on every album / song in my library. I most typically use a streaming service, so not sure how long this has been an issue. However, 2-3 months ago for sure I could play all the songs I cannot play now. I have done the usual - restarted router, restarted Sonos devices, reindexed my library, updated all Sonos apps. All to no avail. Checked the community questions and nothing is popping as as the answer. I can still play music from the streaming service.Sonos and Pc are not in the same room, but they are close. My wireless signal is strong.
Can’t add Music Library (Apple Music/iTunes, Catalina, external HD) - help?
I have an Arc set up and running, but can’t get my Music Library working. I run Apple’s Music app (the one that replaced iTunes) v184.108.40.206 on a Mac Mini running Catalina. I have a local music collection of approx 18,000 songs stored on an external HD. I go to the Sonos App on my Mac Mini.I go to Music Library settings.I add the folder. Path shows as /Volumes/4TB drive/Music Music Library appears in my list of sources, but contains no music. What am I doing wrong?
My Sonos system keeps losing / is unable to play my music library - how do I fix this?
Subject line says it all - it has been happening intermittently since I removed my obsolete Sonos Bridge, and recently has become more frequent and frustrating. The media library is on a WD MyCloud NAS hardwired into the home network. The MyCloud DLNA Media Server is ON - but seems to ‘see’ way more attached Sonos media players than I actually have....One of the Sonos speakers (Sub) is hardwired into the network ( did this to fix the problem whereby the system was occasionally losing rooms / speakers): the other speakers are connected via wifi. DHCP is dynamic. I tried fixing this by rebooting the wireless hub (SmartRG SR505N) with no luck this time. The NAS is up and running fine: I can connect to it from my iMac, and the library is there. I will happily submit diagnostics if you tell me what to do.I used to love this system, but it is getting harder to love …… It should not be this hard …..
Repeating parts of BBC radio station
Since the S1/S2 app split, I've noticed that throughout the day the Radio 2 feed will suddenly jump back by approximately 30 seconds and then repeat what you have just been listening to. I am using S1 software. I have submitted a diagnostic about 2 minutes after the last incident of this fault, confirmation number is 728377785.
Sonos can no longer access my Music Library on my Naim Uniti Star
Hi I have a number of Sonos products.I also have a Naim UnitiStar which has a locally connected USB drive containing my music library. The Unitistar has a built in UpNp server.My Sonos system has accessed this music library without any issues for a long time (years). However, this evening, it cannot access the library ‘unable to connect’ messages.I’ve tried the basic stuff to try and fix this - but no joy. My Mac and My Smart TV’s can all connect to the Music Library on the UnitiStar without a problem.Any ideas please?Many thanks in advance.
YT music through Sonos only shows liked songs when in library
YT music on app on my phone and computer pull up the whole library. But in the sonos S2 app version 12.1 will only diplay my liked songs under Youtube Music>Library>Songs>Songs. Tested that it is my liked songs by removing a few and adding different ones a couple of times and it is updating the library accordingly to that. YT music works correctly on my phone and computer through the YT music app but not in the S2 app. I would just cast from the YT app directly but that is not supported as it was in the google music app.
Sonos app won't connect to Brennan B2.
Hi all,I have been using Sonos for many years and used to have my generic NAS drive as music library. Now we have a Brennan B2, so I removed the old music library and followed the steps set out by Brennan to connect the B2 as my new music library.However, after selecting the music folder through the “Add Shared Music Folder” process on the Sonos app, I get an error message. “Sonos was unable to add the music folder”Folder name, login and password are correct (copied from Brennan’s website). I can connect to the Brennan B2 on my Win 10 laptop, so I know the NAS connection on the B2 works.Neither the Sonos app nor the Sonos program on Windows will let me connect the B2 as a music library.I would be grateful if anyone had a suggestion how I can get the two connected.
SiriusXM On Demand Fast Forward still broken??
I see there are lots of discussions on this: long program fast forwarding for on-demand episodes and shows on Sirius XM. Many of them originating 2 years ago!My experience is that this behavior is still broken/not available.Am I correct?Any word when this might be fixed if so?If I am wrong, then what is the proper way to resume listening to a long episode where I left off when I was last listening to it.Are there any work-arounds?Thanks
On device music no longer available
I’ve got a Samsung Galaxy Tab 8A - with local music stored on it - i give the Sonos app access as it requests during first selection of ‘On the Mobile Device’. I can browse albums/artists/songs, can see cover art etc. but as when i select an album is just races through them “xxxx” is no longer available on Samsung SM-T290. I’ve done this exact setup before on another Tab 8A - same music etc. and it works fine, so i know its not a problem with the files. Any advice greatly appreciated as this setup has no music services, other than Sonos Radio/Tune In so are stuck with a limited selection...
Sonos continues to skip songs
I am convinced something is wrong with one of my speakers, but I am trying to diagnose it. In playing apple music, using the S2 app, directly to a Sonos Play one, songs will play half way through, then skip to the next, or will skip several resulting in long periods of silence.I have tried unplugging the device and plugging back in, I have tried moving closer to an access point, I have tried rebooting the network (which should not be a resolution unless it only has to be done with updates). Nothing seems to be fixing this.Playing from the app should be the purest way of playing anything (it cuts out Alexa, it cuts out airplay, etc).What else can I try?
Songs not coded correctly
My playlists on sonos app keep saying that the songs are not coded correctly and then skip and do not play the song, this is happening on numerous different songs every time i try play a playlist. Furthermore a lot of my rooms with sonos speakers in are not being picked up via the app. They work when you ask Alexa to play and specify a room but you can't use the app to control the devices.
YouTube Music Issues.
I successfully converted from Google Music to YouTube Music but I’ve noticed a couple things I can no longer do. I’m not sure if this is the fault of Sonos or YouTube Music but wanted to get them out there so someone can fix them:Can’t start a playlist based off an individual song. You can do this directly from the YouTube Music app so I know it’s possible - just not an option in the Sonos app Can give a thumbs up or down to a song from the Sonos app. This is a bigger issue than it might at first seem since it helps YouTube Music keep track of what you like and don’t like so the tailored playlists they create are more to your liking. They also keep track of every song you “like” as a separate playlist that I like to play sometimes.Anyone else fine other issues that used to be present in Google Music that Sonos can no longer do with YouTube Music?
