Since last year I’m having issues streaming YouTube Music and YouTube (audio only) to my Sonos devices. I was able to stream YouTube to my Ones as well as to Sound bar paired with older Sonos 1s. Now when I try to stream something from YouTube (using my phone) content is being stopped and there is this “sad” face screen in YouTube. The same is when I try to stream anything from YouTube Music using Sonos App.I read some funny answers on this forum (like try to remove and re-add YouTube Music - yeah tried that, and it didn’t work) but no real answer why YouTube-related apps don’t play well on Sonos. All I have is “Unable to play “song title here” - unable to connect to YouTube Music.Oh.. and the Error logs, here you go: Monday, February 6, 2023 - 9:11 AM Central TimeUnable to play 'Sacrifice' - unable to connect to YouTube Music.Monday, February 6, 2023 - 9:11 AM Central TimeUnable to play 'Sacrifice' - unable to connect to YouTube Music.Monday, February 6, 2023 - 9:11 AM Central TimeUnabl
A recent update to the iOS app has given a new layout to ‘search’ with an ability to ‘switch to classic search’.The search results don’t show anything from ‘My Library’, neither results nor is it an option across the top where the other sources are. Is this a bug or how do i add my library to the searches. I can access my Music Library under the Browse function and search there but I prefer top be able to have all the search results in one place.
I was in my start menu and hovered over my account name and noticed another account pop up named “Sonos Wireless HiFi System”, I clicked on it, and it just basically logs back in my account. It shows up in windows settings, accounts, other users as well. Using command prompt doing “query users” only my account shows, doing “net user” the sonos one shows but list my account as admin, I am wondering if this is a normal thing, and am guessing it has to do with how the sonos app streams music off my pc to the speaker. Or if is this not normal and I need to do something about it. other information that may help OS: Windows 11 (22H2) Build: 22621.1992SYMFONISK Bookshelf Speaker Sonos OS: S2Version: 15.6 (build 74043110)Hardware Version: 188.8.131.52-1.0
I got rid of my Gen 1 Play 5 to resolve an issue with SMB1, and once I upgraded to S2 I started getting this error. About ready to walk away from the whole thing. Please help me get back to a system that worked beautifully for years until last summer. 1 - Gen 2 Play 53 - Play 1’sconnecting to a QNAP NAS. Never saw this error until I updated to S2. I dont have any playlists on Sonos, only within Youtube music and locally on my computer within Apple Music.
I’ve been having an ongoing issues with Sirius XM dropping out on my Sonos system. I see from the forums that it has come up a number of times and the chosen answer always seems to be that it’s a problem with your WIFI. I disagree!Today, I am unable to play a Sirius XM channel for more than a couple of minutes before it stops. Here are some of the log entries that suggest it’s not my Wifi:Tuesday, August 1, 2023 - 8:23 AM Eastern TimeUnable to play '27 - Deep Tracks' - the song is not encoded correctly.Tuesday, August 1, 2023 - 8:24 AM Eastern TimeUnable to play '27 - Deep Tracks' - the song is not encoded correctly.Tuesday, August 1, 2023 - 8:24 AM Eastern TimeUnable to play '27 - Deep Tracks' - the song is not encoded correctly.Tuesday, August 1, 2023 - 8:24 AM Eastern TimeUnable to play '27 - Deep Tracks' - the connection to SiriusXM was lost.Tuesday, August 1, 2023 - 8:24 AM Eastern TimeUnable to play '27 - Deep Tracks' - the song is not encoded correctly.Tuesday, August 1, 2023 -
Hi, Last two nights Sonos has started up in the middle of the night. Tonight, it started at exactly the time I switched my Bluetooth headphones off. Ive tested again, and the same happened. I was listening on bose headphones, to Google podcast. Nothing to do with the Sonos app. As I close the headphones case, Sonos starts downstairs. Can anyone help my sanity please? Today is Thursday May 12: as of 4 days ago when I was waking up to one of my alarms I noticed just the annoying chime (which usually indicates something isn’t connected correctly or loss of communication). Well by Wednesday I was trying to fix it and every time I tried to reauthorize my Apple Music account an error pooped every time “saying one or more of your Sonos products needs updating before “this can be done”. I was in the beta community but I left thinking that may be the issue. Called Sonos and got some help he said I had to wait 3-4 days for the beta community ends my account. Will update in 3 days. But I’m pretty sure this is a Sonos issue. They just had some major issues with their online website, and billing platforms, and some upgrades to their controllers.
After reading many similar complaints, I understood Sonos considers it is up to YT to fix the issue. I do not agree because I chose Sonos because it is YT compatible. If it is not compatible, Sonos is lying when they say they include the YouTube Service. For my part, most of my playlists have missing songs, and some even have all the songs unavailabe!I am very disappointed because the devices are very good, and the app is also nice.
This has been another major issue for us with little to no official remedy from Sonos.Homekit requires this back end update for certain accessories and is in current IOS (non-beta) software. Sonos’ only suggestion is resetting all speakers and re-adding (major timesink) which we’ve done twice, only to have the issue return. Any help from the team or ETA on a fix?
Hi. I have a pretty old Sonos S1 system with a bridge, which has the latest 11.6.1 software. Works great with all streaming services. I have an old iTunes Music Library on a newly formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled) external hard drive. I am able to see this library directory when I select to mount a Music Library from the Sonos app, and it tells me it’s pulling my songs in (“SonosMusicLibrary” is now set up on your Sonos system. Your music is now being added to your Sonos system. This may take several minutes to complete), but that never happens and I see no songs at all in the Sonos app (running on a MacOS laptop with Catalina, a pretty new iPad or my Android phone). This is a Music Library directory that I used to have mapped to Sonos before S2 came out, so it was working great at one time. The original library is very large, so I created another directory with just a few MP3 directories in it and that still does not work.I submitted Diagnostics 989657620.Please recommend what
The search function in Soundcloud is not working properly. When searching for a track, mix whatever and using the exact name of the track it doesn't come up as a number one result. I have to scroll down like 20-30 tracks before I reach that track I am looking for. This is the case in the Windows controller as in the Android controleer. Funny enough, when searching for that track in the Windows controller it puts the track with the exact name in Italian style. So somehow the app recognizes that this is the track you are looking for. So why doesn't it pop up as a number 1 result? P.S. Every one is complaining for years why we can not search within all music sources at once within the Windows controller. Is it that difficult Sonos?
Is there anyway to stop this? If you switch off automatic updates sonos starts slowly removing app functionality. First I noticed they stop you re-tuning true-play unless you update, now ive noticed they prevent me re-indexing my locally stored library. What is the point in having a pretend automatic updates option that cripples the apps functionality thereby forcing you to update regardless?
Based on multiple recent posts to this forum, it’s clear that there’s a serious bug in the iOS version of the Sonos app. Even if you enter your email and password correctly, you cannot log into your account, which makes it impossible to do basic tasks, such as add a new device: I really don’t want to try the suggested workarounds, particularly since I don’t trust that they’ll work. I shouldn’t have to create a whole new account, just to connect a device, then have to re-create any other aspects of my household Sonos network, my streaming services, and anything else that the new account will require.I had been planning on buying some additional speakers, but unsurprisingly that purchase is on hold.Would someone from Sonos customer support please indicate what steps you are taking to fix a known, serious problem. Many thanks.
Sonos Play 1 not connecting on either Sonos app.it is on the network and via Alexa app can play no problem. Why can Alexa work it yet Sonos says not found after it identifies the speaker and serial number??!connected with Ethernet cable but had to unplug to move so back to square 1.In set up unable to join Sonos messagetried older app just the same.def connected to Wi-fi network excellent signal tried off and oning everything.During set up identifies play one and serial number but then all else fails.during set up no Sonos Wi-fi ifs generated.used to work fine on the S 2 app now very frustrating and turning me off buying any more sonos products quite frankly as wasting hours trying to set this up again.
