Controllers and Music services

It would be helpful to be able to quickly navigate to Sonos Favorites (or the main Music Source menu) from deep within a sub-category (e.g. Spotify > Your Library > Playlists...) rather than having to back all the way out to change music sources. 

Just like the Surround Audio has TV Level and Music Level controls, I would like Sub Audio to have TV Level and Music Level controls, instead of just one Sub Level control.  In my setup, the kick and bass of music sounds very boomy, while the low frequencies of my TV seem less apparent.  I need independent control of Sub Level for TV vs Music. 

I have got the Sonos beam gen 2. Last week purchased Sonos mini sub which worked fine. Now app saying needs to update. I have updated the app and it now says the sub mini is not compatible with this version of the app? 

So, my little iPhone SE now no longer has great functionality which I accept but how on earth do I get rid of the annoying warning banner at the top of the App?. No way to dismiss it, remove it or a check to acknowledge the limitations. 

I purchased my first Sonos system a couple weeks back, a pair of Era 100s and a Sub Mini. It’s a single use-case setup: music. Initial setup and configuration was a breeze: I have the Era 100s configured as a stereo pair, added the Sub Mini and ran the Trueplay advanced tuning.  Overall, very impressed.I noticed that the Sub Gen3 was on sale, so I wanted to A/B the system sound using the Sub Gen 3 vs. the Sub Mini.The problems:When I removed the Sub Mini from my room, it also broke my stereo pair, moving one of my Era 100 speakers into a random “Bedroom 2”. I have spent almost 3 hours on with Sonos support to resolve the issue.  A few months ago, S1 app stopped playing music apps and it says “unable to play selected item”.  I have tried Audible, SiriusXM, and Pandora.  I was able to control via a Sonos One on the system with alexa, but then that stopped.  So, I removed the Sonos One from the system and just left the S1 only devices.  Now - they don’t do ANYTHING.  3 hours on phone and chat and now SONOS is telling me it isn’t their problem.  They told me that I need to call every service and have them fix the services compatibility with the S1 app.  NOTE:  this is also an issue with controlling the sonos speakers with my computer.  I am sorry, but this doesn’t seem like an issue for amazon and pandora and I do not think I need to call each one of them individually.  This issue has been brought up many times on this community chat and SONOS has yet to address it.   If sonos could just be upfront and say - this is it - these speakers you sp

I’ve tried a few times the various settings suggested in the posts/answers/FAQ here but no luck.Like many users here, I can’t see the Sonos controls on my Android lock screen anymore. Instead I have to unlock the screen and go to the app, even for the slightest volume control.That’s obviously a major user experience regression.Here’s my config: Samsung Galaxy A33 running Android 14 / One UI 6.0Can anyone help? Have I missed something or is it a real Sonos regression?Thanks

The problem I’m having with playing My Music Files in my Computer is that whenever my laptop is off/black screen, I have no access to my Music in my Computer. The music will not play when I use my app to select music from my Computer. I can still use all the other functions, Spotify, Bandcamp, etc. The laptop goes dark/sleep after about an hour. What settings do I need to set in Power & Sleep mode so I can play music from my laptop? I don’t want the laptop to be on (screen on) 24/7 as my battery will get bad faster. It’s plugged into the outlet 24/7 as I don’t use the laptop at all except for Sonos. 

Can anyone help with the below?! Just set up my first Sonos speaker but these settings are unavailable. No updates due on anything.  

Hello,I use the Sonos App 2 on my iPhone, when i open the app sometimes it shows just my ray and play 1. Then i can close the app and re open straight away and it just shows my roam. Do i need to wipe all and re start the system? the Roam was last to be added to the system, that why i am asking if i need to wipe the lot and re start. Thanks 

We’ve had Sonos 1 with Alexa over 2 years but suddenly Alexa won’t play Spotify or Apple Podcasts. We’ve tried various ways of disconnecting and reconnecting Alexa, Spotify, Sonos etc and Nothing has worked! Please can someone help 

I have a number of Sonos devices, Playbar's, Subs, Play 1’s and Beam.Overnight a number of the devices are no longer visible on my Android app.Then when I looked at the Windows App, it is only showing the devices that are missing from the Android app.No matter what I have tried, I cannot get them all back in one app.Any ideas ?

Just installed version 16 on my Sonos system, and now I can't play music directly from Spotify anymore.I hear that more people have this issue 

Hello -“Desperate, panic.”  Spotify cross fade will work on Sonos if you play through Airplay.  Personally I find Airplay to be maddening.  So now I have 6 speakers, a dance party coming up...The Spotify interface is more dynamic to manage, but Spotify crossfade does not work if you play thru Sonos controllers.  The Sonos crossfade is not really working, it goes in and out.  What exactly does it mean this mean? “If Spotify tracks are included in a SONOS Playlist, crossfade is successful.” I’ve built all my playlists in Spotify, playing them from Sonos - should that mean the crossfade will work?Frustrated, after years of getting this Sonos house of speakers set up, I can’t seem to have a dance mix with crossfade?Help help So much technology, so much limitation.  Any wisdoms?

When playing a spotify playlist in S2, Sonos changes the sequence - in spotify i see last added first, in Sonos first added. This is highly annoying, but did not find a setting in Sonos to change that. Ans advice? Thank you

After clicking on the settings option the app has the top 4 settings greyed out.

I am running an S1 system on a new Studio Mac and my music library is on a Synology DS 1522+ Nas.  I have enabled SMB1 and NTLMV1 and used a separate login to the NAS just for the Sonos.  However, I have two ZPs, a Connect and Connect AMP that can not play music from the library.  The message is access denied.  However, I have a Play 3 that works, a One SL that access the library just fine.  I also have a newer Sonos Port (running in S1) mode that also can access the library.  Note that the devices that can’t access the library can stream my music services on Sonos just fine.  I have checked my logs and firewalls and do not see any issues of blocking the IPs of these devices or anything else.   Any help is appreciated!  Stu

Music shuts off when I leave home. I would like it to keep playing. 

Hi, all,I recently inherited a system of Gen 1 Play:5s and a Connect amp. I struggled a bit to get things set up, but Sonos support was extremely helpful! The S1 app on my iPhone and my iPad both see all the devises.Now, however, I wanted to add my wife’s phone, an android. When you first fire up S1, it gives only two options: build a new system or join one. I can choose “Join an existing system,” and get to the stage where I’ve pressed the two buttons on a nearby device for her phone to look for, but it never gets beyond that point. Eventually the device times out.Any suggestions?

I would like to rename my speakers just using the app itself.I have 2 SONOS Play 1 speakers set up and they work just fine, but their “names” do not reflect their “location” I’m using the SONOS 2 Controller and the software was just updated about an hour ago.So I’d like to do this WITHOUT using THE FOLLOWING: “alexa” (she doesn’t live here...)“iCloud” ( it was never set up...I don’t use it)“Apple Home” app (Do not want or need it) Like the subject line says: “just using the app itself.”Help!tHANKS

I would like to know why i can't see all my titles of my playlist u tube music. However i can listen it but i can't browse, i don't see them in the sonos display

I have had my domestic Sonos system for the past decade, linking to a steadily growing digital music folder on a Seagate NAS.  I have the app loaded on a Samsung S23 Ultra, an HP All in One operating WIN10, an MS Surface Pro running WIN11 and a Kindle Fire.In January I added seven albums and although I can see that they are in place, in the standard WMA format, with all supporting data as required (Windows Media Player is my main ripping tool) Sonos is NOT seeing them no matter how many times I do a Music Library Index update.I went online and saw that there is a track count limit (65,000), I am at 26,100...I saw there was an unspecified memory limit and had a look at my file sizes, deleting a number from my registry where they appear to have been too large by comparison to other similar recordings to free up memory but that made no difference.I deleted and reloaded the app on all devices, and have ordered the Library update from each controller separately. I’ve been having quite the time trying to figure out how to configure and set up Sonos to work both locally (on the network that the NAS drive is on) AND remotely (another location with Sonos speakers on a different network). It appears, from what I can tell, that this *should* be possible, however I can’t seem to add the music library when I’m on a different network. I have a hunch it may be an issue with the NAS drive’s configuration, but I’m still investigating. However, I just got off the phone with someone from Sonos support, and they told me that it is *not* possible to access a NAS drive remotely (from a different network than the drive is on), even though I referenced this article from the support site multiple times along with Community threads, which all appear to indicate this should be possible. So: Is it possible to connect a Sonos system on one network to a NAS drive that is on a different network?  Is it possible to have two locations with different networks use the same

Have a plantet rock subscription and use the radio app. All stations seem to cut out and then restart. It doesn’t happen on Tunein radio. I have just connected my atmos with an ethernet cable to the router, which is only 4m away as I thought it might be a wi fi issue. But its still the same.

I tried to use my Sonos library recently and found it had disappeared. Efforts to replace it with the original are not working despite Sonos’ instructions to my mobile being followed. Anyone else have this problem ?
