Controllers and Music services

I have 2 local music libraries. Since the error code 913 problem, which I fixed as per this community topic, one library will load and one will not when I add them using the Sonos app. I am on a windows 10 laptop. I a moved a file from the library that will not load to the library that does but that file will not load. Most of the files in the old library have been loaded from CD whereas the library that loads have been MP3 downloads. I am not sure if this is a red herring.

1. I am trying to make the alarm sound simultaneously on all devices, but it doesn't work. I select the 'grouped rooms' option, but the selection is never saved.2. I enter the My Turner radio service, select a station, try to save it to my favorites, but it is never saved3. I try to start a radio station by selecting it from the recents, but it gives an error. However, if I start it by entering the specific radio service, it works. 

That’s all. No BS, no excuses, no hollow promises, no “future-ware”, no hyping the new trash app. Roll it back. Anything else is asinine. 

Like a lot of people on this forum, I am extremely frustrated with the new Sonos App. I have multiple Sonos products that have been working for years, and most recently purchased a Sonos Sub Mini. But the new App would not allow the Sub Mini to register, having tried for hours, direct ethernet connection, etc. Looks like a lot of people are having the same issues online.I tried calling Sonos Support multiple times and the wait was 85+ minutes. I then tried the Chat and that was equally as useless. Having reinstalled the App multiple times, now the App cannot find ANY of my Sonos Speakers and the comment from Support was to do a factory reset on every speaker and reconfigure them all…. who knows if they will work again.So I now have a useless Sonos system having spent $$$ over the years. How does Sonos get away with this? Their brand is clearly on the decline. I am obviously returning the Sub Mini as I can; the rest of the system is currently very expensive paperweights

I drill down to find a song in my library, click on a song, nothing happens - WTF?  Can’t add to queue bad enough, but can’t even play music.  I get a list of all the songs I cannot play - ya’ll punking the death out of us.  Seriously, what in the hell was Sonos thinking with this?  We bought it to play music.  That doesn't’ even work?I see all the long list of songs in my library and try to search - what happens?  It takes me to search GD streaming services.  Why?  There’s a search bar right there, but no!  Doesn’t work right.  I have more than 5000 songs in my library - no way I’m manually searching that. WTFFFFFF!!! You jerks.Sonos are morons with this release.  I feel like taking all my Sonos gear into the street and burning it. I know that’s irrational and I won’t do it, but damn - you complete jerks for this release!

Issues with recent upgrade

Hello, With the new App i have mulptiple alarms for each day of the week. The problem, now is we cannot see the station with each alarm right away.  It is only indicated: LIVE STATION  instead of the name or the station’s logo. Can you do something, we should see it as first view and step.What is going on with this problem ??

The new version of Sonos app doesn't have an option  available to shuffle My Songs or Playlists using Pandora. The old version of Sonos did. Anyone have this experience or know how to find shuffle on Pandora?

Trueplay won’t work for me. Its stuck on the final menu before the tones are played.

Music is playing on the 3 rooms "Salin, Cuisine, Chambre principale". The app doesn't see it, I can't stop, control Volume, skip... Music is still playing on the 3 speakers…A real nightmare.And you ?

Let's see if I can explain to management: I just want to play music on two speakers.All I need is a Toyota Corolla to go to the cleaners and pick up my laundry, and you are trying to give me an F35 vertical-takeoff fighter jet (armed with tactical nuclear weapons) to do that. So sure, if I learn to fly the darned thing I can use it to go get my laundry, but all I really need is a Toyota Corolla. Besides, you cannot actually give me the fighter jet, because that is an incredibly complex piece of machinery and you just can not get it right.I suspect that 90% of Sonos users are like me.So, what would a sensible company do?They would issue two apps: "Sonos Basic" and "Sonos Advanced". The first app (the Toyota Corolla) would be a simple, solid, bug-free workhorse for users like me. The second app (the F35) would have all the bells and whistle (and bugs) of the world, and would be designed for users with far more complex Sonos systems than the average Joe.

I made the huge mistake of updating to the latest Sonos app (I own more than ten Sonos products). As has been well documented, it is a complete and utter disaster. In addition to the numerous bugs, performance issues and elimination of necessary, and popular, features, I have noticed that I lose control over the current track playing. No ability to pause or skip forward. Sometimes the ability to pause, yet no other controls. Please see screenshots. Does anyone else have this issue? Any idea of how to rectify? 

The new app is really bad. The features which were iportant to me:Set an alarm with a radio chanell sleeping timerare gone, why do you introduce a new app which is worse than the old one?

Hi I am seeing the same problem it’s lucky dip when I try to use the Appi have 4 Sonos devices Amp/ Port / Play5 and MoveSome days all show , others just 1 and it’s never the same one.Yet if I then go to my MacAir M2 all the devices show  Also I’ve set my Sonos to Google home and if I ask Google to play on any of the Sonos devices it works. As an aside if I do use the Mac App then go to iPhone app the devices miraculously appear.my IPhone 12Pro is on the latest iOS 16.3.1the Sonos App is 15.1 all on the same WiFi no mesh no clever stuff. It’s clearly the App  Come on Sonos give us back the bullet proof App we used to have As that is not the case right now  

I have Sonos and Plex installed on Samsung S24.I can add the Plex service.I can see my Plex content on my Plex media server.I can play an album.I can play a track.But, if I press Shuffle All: This happens: I have uninstalled the apps, changed login details, reinstalled, etc.  All the usual stuff.It still happens. Please advise.

I made the mistake of upgrading the app on my iPad as prompted it’s pretty rubbish. To be honest you will not be able to access your local NAS and if you have a port, the line input will disappear.  The only thing that seems to work are subscription streaming services, shame on Sonos for this much awaited and highly publicised upgradeI don’t know who did his acceptance testing on this app, or what set up they had, but I imagine will not work for most of you

Sonos will suddenly not accept my music file as the Music Library.  Any thoughts on how to get around this problem?

Hi,This is just a bug report trying to raise awareness. Diagnostic code *********-new app 50% of the time does not think I have any Sonos system connected. Need to force close the app and reload when this happens. -new app does not appear to work with nugs.net at all. Had no issues in previous app. This is a huge issue for me.-removed android widget/notification widget which was useful. Bring this back-reduced ability to edit and add to queue freely, like adding a single podcast without switching to that podcasts feed after-removed sleep timer and other useful features it seems.  Sonos should consider this app a beta version and give people option to use this app or the old version. Failing that, we are all paying way too much to have this kind of forced regression. New UI is nice and more user friendly I think (not that I've been able to use it much with all the issues), but needs to be functional or there's no point. 

My set up is 1 x Play:3 hardwired creating a SonosNet with a number of Play:1/Sonos One dotted around the house.I have 2 x access points in the house for the S2 controller to connect to (same SSID etc.)I often get the following situation.  As an example, I’m playing music in the kitchen (this is the only room playing).  I open up the app to stop the music.  The app shows every other room and what was playing - that is you can see the album/radio station image - but the kitchen will be completely blank, so I can’t use the controls to stop the music.It can take up to 1 minute for the room to “kick in” so I can see the album/station and use the controls to stop the music.This isn’t restricted to the kitchen, it’s whichever room is playing.Anyone else seen this issue?  Any idea how to resolve?

I just installed the new iOS app. I’m able to connect to all of my services using the updated iOS app except for CBC Radio & Music.I have no problem connecting to CBC from the latest Sonos app on MacOS. Additionally, if I make the connection from MacOS, I can see and manage it from the new app on iOS.Any idea what’s going on?Thanks,John
