New SONOS App - Feedback

In the new 2024 Sonos App :Where are the alarms settings? Where is the Last.fm service?Where is the Android widget?This is a real nightmare....

Scheduling music play

I wonder how to schedule a specific composition or playlist, etc to play at a specified time. For example, I want my music to turn off in my bedroom at night automatically and turn on in the morning as an alarm-clock, but playing a speicific set of compositions. I did not find any scheduling functions in the software nor in the controller. Another question is if it's possible (I believe it's not) to play 360 kbps mp3 files. I hope it will be taken care of in the next release.

"Room Settings" no longer on my "Settings" page

After updating the app today, "Room Settings" disappeared from my Settings page. I can no longer adjust anything. Does anyone know what's going on?

Tags and how does Sonos 'see' them?

Really enjoying my new Sonos system. Have been building a pc based library for jazz & classical items (~2,000 files) over many years. I'm an Ubuntu(Linux type) user. I've streamed all my library items to the Sonos system and have solved the genre issue by setting custom tags in the TCON (id3v2) frame. So far so good, however some files show up in Sonos as just the file name. I suspect that these files do not have GEOB tag values, at least that's the only difference I can see at the moment. Setting a title or genre tag is straight forward but looking at the GEOB tag I feel I'm getting out of my depth! I know that there are loads of posts on the subject of tags with Sonos but haven't seen anything of great relevance to my problem. Any ideas would be welcome.

Not able to update Sonos products (Error 1101)

Hi there, I have been experiencing the issue ever since I opened and am using a Sonos Bridge bought 12-18 months ago. Before I continue, let me say that the reason I am creating a new thread is because a) The proposed solutions in other threads haven't worked and; b) I am living in an apartment for university students that provides their own wireless internet with their own modem and router. Hardware: Play:3 - Two Bridge - One The router in my apartment is on the other side from my Play:3's, which are in my room, approximately 10-15 feet away. When first setting up the system, I was able to quickly and easily find both the Bridge and Play:3's. Sonos asked me to update and when I did I was "unable to update" due to a "problem in checking for updates (1101)." I am given the options Try Again and Not Now. When I choose Try Again Sonos falsely tells me my products are up to date. I have tried unplugging everything, restarting my computer then only plugging in the B

When is Sonos a full Roon-ready network partner?

Roon v1.3 is good.. but are Sonos + Roon working together on getting the Roon Advanced Audio Transport enabled for Sonos? Bluesound has it and I want to keep my investment in Sonos..

Sonos and Alexa/Echo... who is as excited as I am? Anyone else want to be in the public beta?

For what it's worth, I have 6 Sonos zones (2xZP80, 2xZP100, 2xPLAY:3), and 2 Echo's (both of which happen to be right next to my kitchen and MBR Sonos PLAY:3's). I adore both products and have been dreaming of this announcements. I almost held off on purchasing the last 2 PLAY:3's because I was loving Alexa so much, and now I'm glad I didn't. The combination will be great. Now all i want is to be able to be on the private beta 🙂 I've been a Sonos heavy user since 2006, and I've been an Alexa heavy user for a little over a year. They play slightly different roles in my life today... I do find myself asking Alexa to shuffle music, which is annoying, since it doesn't know about my local Sonos library and playlists. I ask Alexa to play the news and podcasts, which is great, but it doesn't play throughout the house - which is annoying. They just should play together. And now they're going to. Peanut butter and jelly. Chocolate and peanut butter. Sonny & Cher. Good stu

App wifi drops off iPhone iPad Sonos plays on

Hi, I have Sonos controller app on iPad and iPhone. I have a sonos bridge connected to a home hub 3. I regularly - several times a day - loose connectivity with the sonos app - it just says searching for sonos system. This will happen although the sonos components are happily still playing music. The only way to get connectivity back again seems to be to either reboot the router or switch wifi off and back on again on the ipad/iphone. It's very frustrating. Have there been software updates recently that might have screwed the connectivity up? Up to about a few weeks ago never had this problem Thanks

Desktop software connects to wrong network

My desktop has both a wifi local network, where my Sonos system resides, and an Ethernet connection to a larger building network. When searching for a Sonos system, the Sonos software seems to default to the Ethernet connection, where it finds another Sonos system. There is no way to select which Sonos network I want to connect with. How can I connect with my home Sonos system?

Soundcloud missing likes

I have 500 songs liked on my Soundcloud profile, but when I go on to view/play them from the Sonos app, only my most recent 180 show up. How can I access or get the rest of my likes to show up?

Grouping problems

Since the last software update, I have found that grouping devices no longer works reliably. Grouping either doesn't happen or the devices drop out of groupings randomly. Is this a problem others are having? Is there a fix?

"Unable to play '......' - the connection to Apple Music was lost"

Partway through each song, the above message comes up on the phone and it fades into the next song on the album. Apple Music problem (no problem with Pandora or Amazon)
