Newbie help needed.."The software on this device is outdated"

..was the message I got just now when I tried to turn on my Sonos this afternoon. It worked fine this morning. Now when I touch the Sonos icon I just get this message, with no option to update anything. I have a Samsung Note 2 tablet GT-P5110, and the Sonos controller is version 7.4.

Does it mean my tablet software is outdated? If so it sounds as if I need a newer tablet...

Or have I missed something simple?

Thanks in advance

Sonos recently had an update to its terms and conditions. Do you recall an email about that? I'd delete the controller and download fresh.

Many thanks Gene2367 for your quick response and straightforward advice.

I still don't understand what happened (eg I got no message about needing to updating T&C etc, or the opportunity to do so..it simply gave the message about software being outdated).

But I did what you suggested...and up it came, good as new.

Time to call yourself GENIUS2367 not Gene!!

Much appreciated
