Can't find how to rename a room in the iPad or iPhone app. Help needed.

Hi all. I upgraded my phone to Android Oreo about a month ago and suddenly it started to use insanely amounts of power, it was really hot to the touch and the battery was drained in hours. After weeks of searching and uninstalling/reinstalling of various apps I've come to the conclusion that this only happens when the official Sonos Controller app (8.4) is installed. I feel kinda naked without that particular app so I'm keen to solve it. I haven't found any traces of anyone else with the same problem. Am I really the only one? Anyone knows what to do about it?

Problems after last UPDATE to 8.5.2 which did FIRMWARE on Speakers with NO WARNING thereby pooching my system for weeks until I managed a work around with LITTLE HELP or advice from Sonos Staff.

I’m told my controller needs updating and then I’m taken to the App Store but there’s no “update” or “download” link - just “open” which takes me back to my 8.4 controller which won’t run until it’s updated to 8.5. Help!!!!

Hi Sonos, Please somebody tell us, if and when airplay support will be added. It is definitely possible to do as some people have already written open source code to do it. But it is a hassle to use as I need to run a program on my mac to be able to stream music directly to my sonos speakers from my music app on my iPhone or iTunes. I can already now stream my AppleMusic from the cloud , I can stream DRM music. With airplay we just don't need to worry about your controller limitations. Why can't you guys add official support,so I don't need to remember to start the service on my mac? You are in the business of hardware, let Apple and others be in the business of music software. I am now Apple Music subscriber and most of my music is in the cloud. and all the speakers I bought over $4000 USD would be worthless to me because none of my new music is accessible via official channels. I'm trying to reconnect Sonos with my iTunes library. It seems to see all of my iTunes music, but it can't seem to find any of my playlists (under Imported Playlists) How can I fix this?

Hi, When I swipe down on my notification bar the Sonos controls are missing. Sonos is currently running, and this was here in the past. Any advice? Cheers Cathal.

I'm hoping someone from Sonos can chime in here, as there's not a lot of concrete information in the blog post. I have a Playbar 5.1 system and am willing to buy a Sonos ONE to add Airplay 2. The blog post mentions When you group one of these Airplay-enabled speakers with older Sonos devices, you can bring AirPlay capabilities to your entire Sonos system. and the image on the airplay page shown the Playbar. But I'm confused and concerned on exactly what this statement means. I would like it to mean: "When you have one Airplay 2 speaker in your Sonos ecosystem, Airplay 2 will work on all of your Sonos speakers." But to me the statement really seams to say "When you group an Airplay 2 speaker with older speakers, Airplay 2 will work with that group." I fear that the latter is how this is being implemented, which would mean that, for example, if you have older Sonos speakers in 3 rooms, you would need 3 Sonos

I would like to be able to use more than one TV or Tivo or other remote to control volume of Sonos. Kind of a pain if you're holding your tivo remote and navigating with it, but you have to get your tv remote or iphone app just to decrease or increase or mute the volume. Seems like a simple thing, my last soundbar allowed me to use at least two different remotes to change it's volume and it was a much less expensive soundbar than the Sonos.

Hi Was glad to hear that you're going to support airplay 2 in 2018. Im just wondering if this will be a software / firmware update that willl work with older speakers, like play; 1, 3 etc. or will airplay 2 only support the new speaker Sonos One?

The android controller finds my downloaded podcasts the first time I select that feature... But it doesn't seem to update the list after new ones download and old ones are removed. How do I get it to refresh?

I have 2 x CR200s and find them wonderfully easy to use, and so convenient as they just sit in their cradles. I have of course had a replacement unit due to touchscreen failure, and now the second one has developed a dead spot. Sonos will replace this for £70 which isn't too bad, but with the removal of so many functions in 5.4 (particularly EQ - what were they thinking?) I'm wondering about a different solution. I know you can dedicate an Android phone or small tablet to Sonos and even apparently connect it to Sonosnet rather than wifi. But what I really like is the ability to leave the controller in a charging cradle, and with the interface already open, so it's always ready to use. In other words, not having to leave it connected to a cable, and not having to open an app before you can use it. So here's my question, can anyone recommend a device that will work this way? 1. It needs a cradle/charging dock, not a cable. 2. Preferably small - a phone or tablet no

I have had a living room surround sound that includes my two Sonos 1, Soundbar, and Sub for 11 months now with no problems and since this update, my Sonos 1 speakers and Sub cut in and out every 4-5 minutes!!! I don't want to watch tv in my living room anymore because it is very annoying!! Any ideas how to fix? Anyone else having this issue?

This just started, out of the blue - not correlated with any system/software changes that I'm aware of: Running the controller app v8.1.1 on a Samsung tablet running Android 4.2.2 (Kernel v3.4.5). Fired up the controller app today (first time in a couple of weeks) and saw this message. Found another thread suggesting that an uninstall/reinstall of the controller app would fix - did that, and it did not. Most perplexing - any insights much appreciated!

I have had my Sons Playbar when connected to the TV controlled by my Harmony Elite for the last six months or so without any problems. Recently the Harmony has stopped adjusting the sound on the Playbar and whilst I cannot pinpoint the exact time this problem stared it does seem to have coincided with the last update to the Sonos controller. The question is - how do I get my Harmony Elite to control the sound on the Playbar. The sound can be adjusted by using the Sonos app

I listen to podcast a lot and there's one function built in to the iOS Podcast app that I miss a lot when I use the SONOS, which is the 15 sec skip forward/backward.  This is useful when you missed something or when you want to skip an ad. Possible to add this in?

Sound test and voice offerings

I created an account here so I can vent. This latest version of the app is horrible. There appears to be rhyme or reason about where anything is located. For some bizarre reason I cannot search for music from the music tab. On the search tab there are buttons at the bottom... but the actual search icon is a dim thing at the top. BTW, what is with unreachable buttons at the bottom? When I am holding my device my thumbs point up, not down. On a scale of 1 to 10 the usability of this version is about minus 3.

Hi When I want to add more tracks at once to my playlist in the windows sonos app. I can't, only it's possible add one track at a time. It would be useful add this feature to sonos app. regards

A quarter of the year nearly over and still no Airplay 2? Anyone know when this is gonna be released on Sonos. Appara it was suppose to be released early 2018 they said when the Sonos One was released back in November?
