I know there are a few older threads here suggesting Sonos users can utilize the Lutron Caseta Pico Audio Remote to control volume, play/pause, next/favourites - but I found through other forums (probably Lutron ones) that the standard Pico remote is essentially identical to the Audio remote, except for labeling, and works perfectly well for controlling Sonos once paired and setup. The Standard Pico remote here in Canada will cost about $23 vs. $50 or more for the Audio remote (Amazon pricing). I used my label maker to create custom audio icon labels (see pic) to mimic the function of the Audio remote, but this isn’t strictly necessary. It’s a shame that Lutron charges such a high premium for the Audio labeling but I guess it is a niche market. They both come in black as well, which I would have preferred - however this again is more than twice the price. The pedestals are $13 up here and highly recommended...they have a nice weight and grippy base. Yes you must have a Lutron wire
I generally listen to Pandora. 2 deficiencies in the Sonos App have led me to abandon it in favor of Airplay:Inability to play on my Mac speakers (which is nuts!) Lack of Thumbs up/down support for Pandora on Apple Watch “lyd” app.
I click on “start my free trial” and it takes me to home page where it shows orders, profile, system...not sure how to get to Radio HD on app
Hi,I recently bought a Western Digital (WD) My Cloud Home in hopes of using it in conjunction with Sonos to stream a collection of live recordings that I have saved on a hard drive. The only option is to play these files from a hard drive as they are not recordings that exist on streaming services.I got the My Cloud Home set up and connected to my Sonos system and I can play files using the “My Cloud Home” music service that can be added to the Sonos controller. The problem I’m having, though, is that the Sonos My Cloud Home service only recognizes a some of the files in my collection, and many of the others don’t show up and are thus inaccessible.Does anyone know if there is another way to stream music files from a WD My Cloud Home device without going through the Sonos My Cloud Home music service? Thanks,Jon
I’m new to Sonos so maybe I’m missing something. In the Sonos S2 app for iOS is there a way to click on a single song and reveal the entire album this song is on? This would be very handy when listening to playlists if I want to jump to the album of the artist I’m listening to. Seems cumbersome to leave the Sonos app, go to Apple Music, find the song/album, add to my library, then re-enter Sonos app in order to listen to it. There must be a better way! Thanks.
Hi!It would be great if you could add the possibility to bypass the sub crossover filter in the app when connecting a subwoofer to an Amp. I want the possibility to let my front speakers always play the full frequency range also when a subwoofer is connected. So either have a radio button for whether crossover should be applied for both speakers and sub or for sub only, or an option to always send the full frequency range to both speakers and sub output and let me control the crossover on the subwoofer itself. Now I know I can achieve this by connecting speaker cable from the Amp’s speaker terminals to the subwoofer’s high level connectors. But the I’d then lose the possibility to control the sub volume level from the app. Thanks, Björn
It is done
I have a 5k sq ft restaurant and I want to hang 8 Play 5’s from the ceiling and install one Playbar on one of the 12 tv’s. I want to be able to switch from tv audio to Spotify via my phone and the app. Is this feasible?
I have several speakers (Play3,Play5, OneSL) all working on my WIFI network. What no longer works is my music store (hard drive) that was "Connected" to the SONOS environment via an old SONOS Bridge. The music store is not located near a speaker.
Hello, I am trying to sign into my SONOS from the iphone + ipad and it won’t let me. Unfortunately, It will only let me sign in through the desktop. When logging in through the phone it tells me my password is incorrect although I am typing the password in correctly. I managed to change the email as well to see if that works but when trying to log in it still gives me the old email. Need help please.
Same question as https://en.community.sonos.com/controllers-software-228995/automatic-loudness-control-6819488 which was asked 2 years ago, can we get an official answer from Sonos whether the Loudness setting intelligently kicks in only during low volume or it has the same effect regardless of volume level?
Hi there.I am British and live in Spain. Today I got an email in Spanish (a language I don’t speak particularly well) about Sonos Radio stations. But because I’m in Spain and Sonos Stations are only offered in a handful of countries, I can’t access them. Meanwhile in the Sonos Radio section of the app, I see an ad banner for Sonos Radio HD which I can’t sign up for it’s not available outside the UK or US. I’ve no particular objection to Sonos advertising new services to me, but it’s frustrating when they’re adverts in the wrong language (My profile is set to “Preferred Language: English”) and/or for services you won’t let me sign up for! Rod.
Hi,I have 2 sonos one. Every thing works well but I am a technical question. I hope I posted in a right subsection.I would like to know how sonos sends and plays a music which I send it from a different network like my mobile data. How it finds my home speaker IP and port?
Hi thereI was looking for a tool to backup my Sonos playlists (just in case, it would drive me mad if I lost them), but couldn't find any. Therefore I decided to write one myself ;-)The result is called SonoSaver and can be found here in case you're interested: https://sonosaver.mrupp.ch/Now, I'm interested in adding some more features to it. What do you think? Would it be a nice feature to have the possibility to export the playlists to text files, like CSV, M3U, etc.?Any other ideas?Cheers,Michael
Hi all,I’ve seen all of the issues with YouTube Music floating around. I have been looking at Sonos for ages and was really excited to unbox a Move as the first addition to a collection. Now I am actually using the solution,I have no option but to use the Sonos App (Android) which is extremely poor compared the YTM interface and also means I can’t like songs when I’m listening to my supermix which is how I discover all my new music. I also tend to use YTM on my PC and I can’t find a reasonable way to cast from YTM from the web version. Is there something I am missing or should I just return the speaker and look at an alternative solution which actually supports ‘cast’ ? Any input is appreciated. Thanks,Adam
I have [Playbar] , [AMP and SUB].When listening to music, I only use AMP and SUB. When watching TV, I use everything. But! When I chose everything to play together in the Sonos app, it work seamless, but if I ect pause my TV for a few minutes, my playbar and AMP separate itself, and I need to choose it to play together in the Sonos app again.I want my configuration to be like I want, until I change it myself..
I have an Apple IPhone SE2, which I’ve updated religiously. Currently running the most up to date versions of iOS and the Sonos app. My husband has an Android phone & recently began using the Sonos system too. We just noticed that (from within the Sonos app) he can access “Album info” & “Browse the Artist” - in addition to “Crossfade” & “Sleep timer” by clicking 3 dots on the currently playing song screen. HOWEVER, by the same method I can only access “Crossfade” & “Sleep timer.” I’m super bummed and can’t seem to find any way to browse similar artists through the Sonos app - vis a vis my Amazon Music account. It feels like the developers forgot to give the Apple app this option - what gives? Anyone else notice this?
Hi all, my question is, what does really mean that Sonos Radio is optimized for Sonos? Have to say that indeed sounds really weel but what does really mean optimized for SOnos? Is a matter of equalization or what? Thanks,C.
Why can’t I create a speaker group containing two rooms in the S2 app? The group option is greyed out and it says I can only create groups when three or more rooms exist. Why does this distinction exist?
Hi, I would like report a bug with the way that Sonos devices handle HTTP Live Streaming URLs. I oversee the streaming for this radio station URL:https://stream.jpbgdigital.com/CJZN.m3u8 It includes 4 audio segments in the playlist, and uses this header to indicate that stream playback should begin from the very first segment:#EXT-X-START:TIME-OFFSET=0 However we’re hearing from listeners that Sonos devices are consistently starting the stream from the 2nd segment in the list and missing the first few seconds of audio. I’ve also been able to reproduce this on my Sonos One. There is more information on this header within the HLS RFC spec here:https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc8216#page-36 I’m happy to do any testing to help facilitate a fix here. Thanks,Andrew
Hi AllI Have a Sony Bravia and Sonos Home speaker setup.I have my own music that i like and listen to and have no particular interest in other types of music. So i don't want to pay Deezer Spotify Amazon etc etc for the privilege of listening to the music i already own….!I was using Google Play and this was working great then we were all forced in to YTM and now the Bravia does not show any of my playlists albums artists let alone plat anything so you can imagine how unimpressed i am !!There are no other apps that support upload of music (iBroadcast being the one exception but that does not have an Android compatible App at the mo..)So i'm thinking of setting up a very small NAS box (only need a single disk) The Music app on the Bravia detects the Beam and looks for a music library on its IP address (of which i dont have one right now) Can anyone recommend something that works is compact, small (1-2 drive bays) and relatively inexpensive !!Does this plug directly in to the back of the B

I have my system updates set to “update automatically” and in the 2 hour morning window. Will I be notified when an update has been applied to my system? Am I better to check for updates manually?
When I run the Spotify application on my Windows 10 laptop it (almost) never finds my Sonos speakers. When I start the Spotify app on my Android or Apple phone it immediately shows all available devices. When I start the Sonos app on my laptop it also finds the Sonos speakers within a second. All my devices are on the same wifi network and same vlan. The problem seems to be in the Spotify Windows client. Or is it something in the Sonos system?
