I experiment audio delay with my sonos five speakers when watching tv, even with 75ms enabled in settings (the minimum). My audio cable is AUX 3.5mmI know that because when i turn on my tv sound, they are not sync at all. I also know that sonos cannot reduce lower than 75ms buffer size to avoid dropouts. So if i connect every speakers on ethernet cables it should not create any dropouts even at 1ms… So the big question is: Why sonos do not offer the choice to the custumer to choose what buffer we want to. If i wire everythings on ethernet cable that will be useless BECAUSE the only option will remains 75ms anyway?? So it will not improve at all even on ethernet cables...
My Connect is hardwired into my router, yet is very flaky: it cuts out and takes a long time to start playing after other devices are going strong. It seems to work fine when ungrouped and playing on its own, but this is not a tenable solution. I am happy to upgrade the device if its age is the problem. My mesh WiFi is amazing. Is Sonos using its own WiFi network because the Connect is plugged into the router? My 10 Sonos devices are spread out over a considerable space (big house). Please help! Thanks…...
Have not had any issues with my Sonos for a good couple of years, and not made any changes bar a BT router 4 months ago. I have a play 3 linked to router, a play bar downstairs and 4x Sonos 1s dotted about the house. About a week ago my wife couldn’t see any rooms when opening the app on her iPad or iPhone, nor on her desktop app. I could see the system on my iPhone app and on my desktop app but not my iPad. After unplugging the whole system and replugging back in I was able to make the system viewable on all devices, and put it down to maybe a dodgy update overnight. Today the same issue happened with my wife’s iPhone & iPad but not her desktop. I could see the system with my iPhone, and desktop but not my iPad. I tried running through the reconnect route in the app on the iPad but it always failed when it tried to connect to the Sonos WiFi. I tried this with both the Play 3 and the Playbar. Eventually I restarted the router which seemed to fix it, but later this evening my wife
Hello all,I’ve had Sonos for a couple of months now and have been very happy. I started off with three Gen2s and a 5. Everything worked great. I recently purchases three Gen 1 SLs and noticed pretty quickly after there have been a lot of issues with speakers cutting in and out for various groups. Once I unplugged the old speakers the system is back up and running with zero issues. I did some research online but wanted to see if anyone ran into issues with integrating older speakers with the newer generations? Appreciate any assistance!
I been with you for 20 years and you have wiped the whole good image of your company out with one update.I done as you said to put my products to factory settings that had been upgraded to S2 so i could use them back on S1.Now your S1 add product is in light grey. When i click on to re add my products it asks me to update again. You seriously are killing your loyal customers as i am now looking to completely change to other easily usable systems.I just wont be updating anything of yours at all .Talk about short sighted..Lets see the snowflakes work this one out!
Ever since the new upgrade when I shuffle on this mobile device everything is fine initially but after a couple of songs the queue changes and freezes. Sometimes the music plays without the now playing updating. Eventually I need to relaunch the shuffle. Any idea what is going on?
I have a Playbar and One that are paired together. However, from time-to-time, the Playbar will just stop playing music (even when it says it’s on and paired with the One) while the One works fine perfectly fine. I know the Playbar is a Gen 1 and One is a Gen 2, but I’m not sure why the Playbar would just stop playing music. Sometimes the Playbar will be on and recognized on the Sonos app, but it just won’t play music from the get go. Other times the Playbar won’t even be recognized when I turn music on. When either of these issues pop up, I have to unplug the Playbar and plug it back in for it to start working. Anyone else experiencing these issues?
i keep getting error code 800 on my new roam. says check network connection - how ? i go to network under settings and it asked me to sign in everytime. I sign in and then it just pops up the setup problem screen again. So frustrating. This ain’t an Alexa setup for sure.
HI AllI have just used the upgrade programme to replace my ZP100 and Connect:AMP with a Port and an Amp.I thought I had to return the old kit and then realised that actually I didn’t. So I thought I’d use the old Connect:AMP in my office, standalone, using S1.So I reset it and got an old iPhone 7 with S1 installed on it. Now I can go through the setup of a new system just fine. The Connect:AMP appears as the only device. However, it doesn’t show any sources of music. So I see in the system settings that it needs an update. But the update fails with an 1101 error.Steps that I’ve tried to resolve this are as follows (all result in the same failure):Connect via ethernetRestart the Connect:AMPReset the Connect:AMPReboot the routerReboot the controllerMove closer to the routerUse a different controller (a different iPhone 7)Tried tech Support, but on agents were available.Any ideas ?Thanks in advance !
Recently noticed system kept falling out. Shows no system on controller. Added BOOST hoping to help. No change.
I have a Play:5 that stopped working so I did a factory reset. I can get through the setup process (connecting to Play:5 wifi, finalizing setup). At the end of the process the app says that the speaker was added but may not show up under system. And something like: Unplug speaker and plug back in to finalize setup under system tab. However, unplugging it does nothing and the speaker is still unavailable.
I’ve communicated several times with Sonos CS, email and phone. I’ve been told multiple times I’d see a notice from my logistics provider with the shipping label for both my RMAs - Still Nothing! I’m beginning to think I’m being worn down so I just go away. Anyone else having this issue?

Songs are cutting off consistently. This has become very annoying to use. Seems like Sonos is becoming an expensive piece of furniture living in my room now. Can someone please help? Here is a diagnostic report 1411209521. RegardsSantosh

My Beam works great, HDMI to TV, except it drops out for 1-2 minutes every day at 7:59 PM CDT and TV speaker takes over, then the Beam comes back on. I’ve got Sonia set to update overnight, so it’s not that. Thoughts?
Hi,Using Sonos S2 app on Android 10.I used to be able to tap the volume slider either side of the marker and it would adjust the volume a small amount each time. This no longer works, has this feature been removed or is it just me?Also when I have speakers grouped, if I want to adjust the volume of only one of the speakers in the group, I can no longer tap the volume marker, get a pop up and then adjust the individual speaker - I have to drag the slider to get the pop up - which is a pain as it adjusts the volume of all the speakers at first so I can access an individual.Tried uninstalling and reinstall with no luck. Thanks
Recently I am repeatedly getting the cannot find your Sonas system. I follow the instructions to press a button on the nearest speaker, the app says connected, I press done and it returns to ‘cannot find your system’ message! I have not changed my router, I have tried turning it off and on again and whilst this restores the connection, it quickly drops out again. I have 2 x 3’s, 2x 1’s and a Play, none of them are hardwired and have always worked perfectly. I use an iPhone and an iPad as controller. Any ideas, anyone?
Hello,I have a Play:5 (Gen 2), and I use it to steam audio from a folder on my PC. Everything worked fine until a few weeks ago, but today I have not been able to access the media library on the PC. I just keep getting the error message: The Computer ‘PC Name’ is not responding. Nothing has changed on my PC (unless some Windows update has altered certain things). The same files on my PC are available to other devices, and I have double checked that sharing is switched on, both for the files, and specifically for Sonos being in the allowed list of streaming devices.I use the mobile app to control the speaker, but today I decided to install the Sonos controller on my PC, but I’m having the same issue, even on there. I’ve been through all the help pages, and I have ensured that both the controller and library service are ‘allowed apps’ in the Windows firewall. I also tried switching the firewall off completely, but no change. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, reconnecting the
Why can’t we get BBC Radio 4 on sonos any longer? Or any kind of TuneIn radio.
My sonos system keeps dropping my connection to Sonos Radio or TuneIn radio stations. Playback will stop abruptly, and when I go to restart it, the app will display a message along the lines of “Sonos has lost the connection to [instert station here].” Sonos will not reconnect to these stations for a good 15-30 minutes. This is not because I’ve lost internet--I can play Spotify or Radio Paradise endlessly, without interruption. Sonos never loses to the connection to those. Even when this happens, I can switch to one immediately for instant music, but I cannot switch back to Radio/TuneIn stations. I know from having been working simultaneously to these drops happening that my wifi/internet service is NOT simultaneously dropping--there are a lot of systems I’d be losing access to. I also know that this is NOT some issue with bandwidth--these drops happen when Sonos is the only thing running in my apartment. This is infuriating--do you know how hard it is to listen to This American
Hiconnecting Sonos Boost to BT router stops Sonos S2 App connecting to existing systems and all connectivity between App and systems lost. VERY frustrating as I thought I bought Sonos Boost to replace Sonos Bridge as that was incompatible with Sonos 2 app that I had to upgrade to as I purchased a Sonos ARC.Thanks
I am trying to play music from a turntable as line-in to a Sonos Five, and have the music play through all my Sonos speakers in stereo mode.***I have a Sonos Five speaker in one room with a line-in turntable (Den). In another room I have an ARC, SUB, 2 Sonos one SLs set up as surround. (FAMILY).In the Family room, the Sonos SL speakers will go into surround sound setting automatically when playing a movie, and switch to stereo speakers when streaming music. However, if I group the room DEN with the room FAMILY, the Sonos SL speakers stay in surround sound setting even when playing music.I am not able to directly add the Sonos Five speaker to the FAMILY home theater room. And I am hoping that I don’t have to keep manually moving the Sonos SL speakers to other rooms for the purpose of using them as stereo speakers when playing the turntable.Has anyone been able to overcome this issue?
I keep trying to cancel Sonos Radio HD on my account. There is no “My Subscriptions” page to click on, and the link from the Sonos support page only links back to the normal account page. I’ve called Sonos support twice, and nothing has changed. I’ve tried on my phone and on my computer to the same results. Has anybody else had this issue?
Sonos is playing, but none of my components is playing any sound. This includes my various speakers and my Port. Tried regrouping, made sure system was up to date, everything. Nothing works. Also tried different sources - my library, stations. In all cases, Sonos claims it is playing, but no sound. And Sonos support is almost non-existent. I have been waiting for almost half an hour for a live agent on chat. What happened to Sonos? Why has it become so unreliable?
