Hi All, I am becoming increasingly frustrated with my Sonos app not locating my Sonos system. Once I have turned the items off and then on and reset the router and connected my play one through a cable it works for about 10 minutes then loses it again. Then I have to do the same process all over again! I give up, I loved my Sonos system but no longer this is infuriating as I can’t listen to any of my music. It still works fine on my TVs around the house but I can’t locate the system on the app! There has got to be an issue with the app!!!
Sonos is unable to tell me why my 3 groups of 7 speakers (G1:Play 5 R+L+Sub, G2:One SL R+L, G3:Play 1) with Boost in my main 20x30 foot, open-concept floor go out of sync while playing Spotify. Spoke to three tech reps over 2hrs and 45min tonight bc their line kept dropping (1call back of the 4 hang-ups, obviously) Conclusion: Sonos claims 80mbps fiber-optic Wi-Fi download speed is not enough to play Spotify music on the 7 grouped speakers without interruption. Recommended I call my ISP and get more bandwidth. Of course they will not tell me how much download speed is required, whilst their published documentation says minimum 5mbps. Nor are they able to tell me why this only happens with Spotify premium and not others like TuneIn, Mixcloud or Amazon music. Any ideas?
I need help troubleshooting an annoying issue with our Sonos setup. We have 9 different Sonos units: 3 Ones, 1 One SL, 1 Five, 3 Playbars (one with a sub, one with two side speakers). It seems like every few months the system starts to bug out, music won't play on the speakers I try to play it on, for example, I'll select Dining Rooms 1, 2 and 3 to play music, the app will show music playing on all 3 but it'll only be playing on one or two of them. I'll start to get get error messages trying to play music from pandora "Not authorized to play pandora" despite it working every other time. Error messages from music off Napster. Sonos will start playing the song, then give me a "not authorized" message and skip to the next song, just to repeat each song it's skipped to.The only way to fix this is to go and unplug every Sonos unit, restart my internet, then go plug all the Sonos back in. This only solves the issue for a few months when all the above issues start up again and I have to reset
I have had quite a few issues with connect to my move from my Iphone X via Bluetooth.I finally managed to connect , after several resets of my Move and Iphone, by being at least 3 m away .Then the sound ( via deezer app ) would either not play or kept cutting out . This was resolved by keeping my iphone at least 6 m 20 ft away from the move. How can this be resolved as its not practical tokeep mt phone away for the move .
I found out that many time when i try to open spotify on iPhone it keep say connecting and nothing happen. Im quite sure that the is a problem on sonos system because i switch to connect echo amp and bose everything is fine and for the network i run in aruba enterprise grade device is quite stable than normal. How you suggests me to fix this problem?
I recently bought a used Xbox One S.Bought solely to use as a BD player as I know it can transcode DTS to Dolby Digital. So I have set it all up. Xbox is set to output bitstream DD 5.1 and my Sonos AMP is also showing that it is playing DD 5.1. Unfortunately, the sound is out of sync. Everything is in sync when playing in uncompressed stereo and everything is in sync from my other sources (Apple TV). Has anyone tried this? Can’t fix it with my TVs audio delay as that can only add further delay. My tv is an LG GX. I have two Sonos AMPs (one front and one rear) and a Sonos Sub.
A few weeks ago my sonos system randomly stopped connecting to my phone. Today I reset everything, using another family member’s iphone, and it worked fine on there. I tried to connect on my iphone and it still said ‘cannot connect’ or that there isn't a sonos system on that Wi-fi. I managed connect fine on my laptop, so it is clearly my phone… but I have done everything in settings to allow permissions etc. and it still won’t find the system (and the system settings options on the app are greyed out!). If anyone else has had this issue, please could you help me fix it because I have tried everything and the system seems to be working fine… but I can't see the problem with my phone/wifi either. Thanks.
Hi, My Sonos move it doesn't working at all as no power on and battery light is keep flashing and beeping red. No idea what to do
Does anyone else suffer from this? Whenever I go to open my Sonos app, 9 times out of 10 it won't find my account or system. I don't know how many times I've had to turn on and off my wi-fi on phone and the router and I've had enough now. Especially when my son uses "hey Google" to start music on the Sonos one and then I can't stop it or turn it off on other speakers because it can't find my system to control, even though it's actively playing! Anything I can do? Last attempt now before I sell it all.
Recently I have found that the favorites list in Sonos has become corrupted with a subset of the song list recurring multiple times and I have not been able to clear this. I am using Deezer as my music provider and the favorite playlist there is fine, the problem exists on both my S1 and S2 equipment. So far I have tried :-1.Changing my Deezer password and reconnecting to the service and2.Rebooting my router and all of my Sonos units All to no avail, any suggestions gratefully received
Hello, tried the chat service which took me to limbo nowhere, so just wondering if Someone here can point me in the right direction.Have a problem with my left channel rca output on my project t1SB, cuts in and out but with jiggling comes back until the next weekend I use it again, bought from Sonos in a set with a five, and I need it replaced who do I deal with? Is it sent back to Sonos or deal with pro-ject? I know it’s more than likely a bad soldering job on the rca connection internally, and I don’t mind cracking this record player open and repairing instead of waiting who knows how long for a replacement, cause I assume I’d need to send my old one back before I get a replacement. tldr: what’s the warranty on the pro-ject T1 SB bought through Sonos. Is this a Sonos return or project
Evening all. Have a largish Sonos system of long standing ….. all wired & all driving in ceiling B&W’s except one Port connected to a Pioneer VSA-AX10ai.The last few weeks tracks have just stopped playing …. randomly and for no obvious reason I can fathom. It’s not room specific. It does not appear to be service specific.Tracks come from NAS, Amazon, Spotify and the last week or so, Tidal Hifi. Although have not used NAS last few weeks so consider that a red herring.System is up to date on S2. Although (and could be rough coincidence) I have only seen the track stop since going full S2. That maybe unfair logic as that was approximately 3 months back and I have no precise analysis to link the two events.I added a Roam a week back but the track stop was occurring before then.More than a little confused. As I say system is a long standing one and faultless in the main. Appreciate any suggestions.
We use our sonos for our patio area. Has always worked great until this year. Sonos shows the sound playing but there is no output. I factory reset the system multiple times, updated the Sonos S1 app, installed the Sonos 2 app (says it’s not compatible), and tried a few other things. Any help is appreciated !
I have two rooms that I play music in. All Sonos operations in my Living Room work fine. But, when trying to play music in my upstairs office, when I select THAT room (Green Room), it does not appear to the left under the System heading. It remains Living Room and will play downstairs in that room.I’ve deleted the Sonos Controller preference file and restarted the desktop version of the Sonos Controller but, to no avail. I see the music library in my Music Library/Folders but, once selected… nothing changes. Music will only play to the Living Room. I’ve also deleted and added back in the Green Room music folder. Apparently my Controller is “Up to Date” version 13.0.
Due to my speakers constantly going missing from the app resulting in a router reboot to find them again, I decided (reluctantly) to invest in a boost. I like almost everything about my Sonos system but since charging to full fibre broadband my system has gone from being occasionally unreliable to unbearably unreliable. Before getting the boost I spent many hours reading all the excellent advice that I found on here and all the relevant Sonos articles. I have switched to Channel 1, 6 then 11. No use at all. Then I decided to try the reserved IP address solution. In the three days since I’ve only rebooted the router once so it has helped. Oddly the surround speakers seems to ignore the reserved address sometimes and use another one (do they get this from the Beam?). Anyway, after the last reboot (and spending way too long babysitting the system) I cracked and bought the Boost. Ok plug in and ‘add product….’. Nothing found, no response. Waited patiently, tried again and again. Scoured t
Hope you guys can help, I’m trying to get my roam to play simultaneously with my Five. I see the roam in the group but no sound is coming out of it. I reinstalled the entire thing, did a factory reset, rebooted my router, nothing seems to work. I can swap from one device to another but both wont play at once. Any ideas?
Why have half my speakers suddenly stopped working
So, as they say, here’s the thing: I invested a lot of hard earned cash in a complete Sonos system in 2014-16 (8 x Play 1s, 1 x Play 3 and 1 x Soundbar). It all worked really well then the problems started not long after we moved house in 2016; essentially, most of the speakers regularly disappear from the app/system and this has been the case with both Sonos apps. I have tried pretty much everything suggested by Sonos but the problem remains.Having spent all that money, I am reluctant to follow Sonos’ advice and upgrade my speakers so I am at a loss as to what to do next. Any advice gratefully received!
Have been on Sonos 2 App for about 1 1/2 months. In the last week, speakers and amps disappear from the app...not always the same ones. I have two amps and 6 speakers. Self help FAQ says try unplugging and plugging them in ( IT Crowd... anyone?) That works but problem persists. Surely this must be software related, has there been an update to the app? no changes to my WIFI, no new electronics in the house. The 2 amps are in the same room with the router! Come on Sonos...your stock price is soaring, surely you can fix this? Ready to go another way and package this stuff up and send it to your CEO maybe they can figure out how to make this work.... Get with it, I cannot be the only one this happening with!!:(
Trying to point the Android Spotify app at my Sonos speakers. The speakers show up but are grayed out. (See screenshot.)I was told some time ago that having a mesh WiFi system was the problem so I switched back to Sonosnet. Availability is still inconsistent.Diagnostics are 487564716. Thanks!
I have my record player connected into my Sonos system through my Play 5. It has always worked perfectly but one day just stopped having volume. When I am playing a record I have to crank it to full volume and I can barely hear it. When I connect the turntable to another speaker it works perfectly, and when I play music on the Play 5 from my phone it also works perfectly. It must be something about the connection between the two? I can’t seem to figure it out, any ideas would be appreciated.
Hi guys ,i want to fixe my playbar on the wall. there arias a special kit from sonos or the TV Sanus wall fixation. This second option sounds good but the playbar is fixed juste under the television with no space between the playbar and the tv… In the playbar instructions it is writen we must keep a space between the tv and the playbar (25mm if under tv or 50 mm if on top) for a better audio performance…is it an issue with Sanus fixation ? tks
Hello, I need help with diagnosing the problem with my system.I have an issue with my Playbase suddenly not being present in my system. There have been no changes to my household wireless router when the problem occurred. My system is a Playbase (4 years old), a Sub(Gen 2) and 2 surround Play 1 speakers.I have tried all the troubleshooting steps to reconnect it but without success. (The sonos app cannot connect to the temporary wifi network from the Playbase when the amber light was flashing on the unit.)The only way the Playbase appears in my system on the sonos app is when an ethernet cable is plugged in. But then when I try to reconnect the Surrounds and the Sub to the Playbase there are connection issues. The app says there was trouble connecting the Surrounds, but surprisingly the Surrounds do actually play sound with the Playbase after that notification. When I then try to connect the Sub it similarly says there was trouble connecting but no sound comes from the Sub. When I try to
I received the Sonos Wall Mount (Pair) & set them up last weekend. Unfortunately it looked like the brackets were faulty. I have unlocked the collar on both brackets, yet the ball doesn’t move or pivot at all & seems stuck solid in one position. I called Sonos & they said that the brackets were faulty, so they sent out a replacement set, which arrived today.… Well the new pair are exactly the same?? They just will not budge. I have given some serious push on them, but nothing moves? I am worried that they will break if I really push hard. Reading the forum I see many people have the same issue, so I wonder if I am doing something wrong?
I’ve had Sonos for 6 years. The first 5 years it worked perfectly, then it started having major dropouts, skipping, and had a 30-60 second delay when I hit play to start a new song.I assumed it was my 1st gen speakers so I upgraded everything (5 rooms, one Gen. 2 Fives, the rest One SL) - and the problem got worse! I can get through maybe 2 songs max before it skips and drops.I have spent tons of time with Sonos customer service, hired an IT firm to rework my wireless system. I even bought an extra One SL so plug into my router. That helped for maybe a week, then my system went back to problems.A quick google search tells you this is a very common problem - and that Sonos ignores it, does nothing to fix it.What’s it going to take - maybe a class action lawsuit for all the people who’ve spent good money on their speakers and had a bad experience?
