I’m thinking about upgrading my TV to the Sony Bravia AF9 but wondered if anyone knows how this would work with my Playbar? The TV itself has 3.2 surround with three actuators behind the screen and two subwoofers out the side. I’m worried that it’s going to render my Playbar obsolete. I want to know if I can use the TV speakers AND the Playbar (either through WiFi or optical). Can anyone help?

I have 3 Sonos Connect Amp (bedrooms) and 1 connect (living room tv) and I would like to get AirPlay 2 capabilities. One option is to get a Sonos one and group with the zone that I want to get AP2. Other option is to get an AirPort Express that now can also do Airplay 2. I don’t really need another speaker (the Sonos one), so I am confused on what would be the pros and cons on each option. For example if I get the airport would I be able to stream to different zones each time or just one that is preconfigured. How does it work with the Sonos one? What about Siri capabilities?

Hi I have been given 3 x zp120's 1 x zp90,1 x br100 and a WD my cloud (no speakers though as they were in the ceiling when my friend sold his house, he's moved in with a music system set up already) Appolagies in advance for my ignorance but can I incorporate these into a surround sound or if that's not possible what's the best way to use these to their full potential? My friend had them installed by a company so isn't much help!!!

I've been using my connect along with a turntable on the line-in for years, but recently switched out to a new Denon AVR (AVRX3500H). I have the Connect wired via Toslink to the AVR Media Player input and the pre-out on the AVR to the "input" on the Connect. Same wiring scheme I had with my old AVR, which worked flawlessly by the way. The issue is that every time I open the Sonos App and try to play from a music service like Spotify for example, it starts to play briefly, but then automatically switches to line-in as the source and the music stops. I can hit play again and it finally starts playing and continues, but as soon as I try to switch tracks or change the source it happens again. I've tried changing the auto-play groupings as well as the line-level impedance, but no luck. Not sure what I'm doing wrong here. Everything is up to date and I've tried searching through the forums and via Google with no luck finding users with a similar issue. Any thoughts or advice

I am looking to purchase the sub to complete my current living room sonos setup, which currently comprises of a playbase with two ones as surrounds. I don’t really want to place the sub at the side of the tv unit though, so was looking to place it horizontally in either of the two locations drawn on the photo. I am concerned though If this placement would give the benefit the sub undoubtedly adds?? Any advice welcome before I drop another £700 ?

Is it worth using my old external graphic equalizer (Onkyo EQ35) with analog-only inputs (RCA) between Sonos CONNECT and Amplifier (Rotel RA-12), or is it better to keep a clean digital signal to the amplifier (with a high quality - Wolfson - DAC)? I'm using an RCA switch to link several other analog line-in sources (CD Player, Turntable, Minidisc player, etc.) to the CONNECT. I was thinking of using the equalizer AFTER those analog inputs before the CONNECT input, but NOT using it for the streaming output from the CONNECT. Is this a wise approach, or should I run everything through the EQ35 before the amp? FYI, Ive got a pretty decent 2x2.1 (4.1?) speaker setup with a pair of B&W 686 and vintage JBL 6" bookshelf speakers with B&W ASW610 subwoofer. I plan to try the set up several different ways, but I am wondering if anyone else has tried these kinds of configurations and especially if the external EQ is worth using over the basic controls within the CONNECT.

Is it possible to get audio from the analog output and the digital output at the same time on the Sonos Connect?

I am considering switching my Connect Line-out level from fixed to variable but then I noticed Pass-Through. What does that do? BTW my Connect is attached to a Yamaha receiver which drives my Mirage (non powered) bookshelf speakers. Thank you

Excuse me, I have just received an email from Sonos telling me that they are going to make my Sonos Dock, that I bought off them a few years ago, obsolete. They are actively making something that I bought off them obsolete, it works perfectly now, but after the software update in October they inform me it will no longer work within the Sonos system. I should ask for my money back, surely? And this comes from a company that prided itself on never making obsolete their early components. Actually flabbergasted by this announcement and really not at all impressed, bloody livid actually. Sonos, seriously reconsider this bloody stupid decision.

I recently purchased a used ZP100 which has the dim LED problem. It is well out of warrantee, and the "Void if removed" sticker has been removed by the previous owner. I contacted Sonos support due to another problem (which was sorted, and they were very helpful). When I brought up the issue of the dim LED (a common problem with the early ZP100's I believe) I was told that parts are not available, and seeing it has been opened, they would not even look at it!!!! This is the response: "Although the ZP100 was out of warrently, Sonos still supports most legacy Components, including the ZP100. Where for a fraction of the original cost the ZP100 would be repaired or replaced. However, unfortunately because the ZP100 was opened, it is no longer eligible for this repair or replacement. Hi, I have a quick question before going out and buying stuff. I have one Sonos Connect and one Sonos Amp. My setup is the following: TV is connected via line-in on Sonos Connect where line out is connected to a receiver. Receiver has output to 4 ceiling speakers in my living room. The Sonos Amp is connected to my speakers outside on terrace, with no line in plugged in. (I only play music out there so use only Spotify app via Sonos). Now to my question. I want to buy a Google Home Mini so I can voice control my sonos system, and also (if possible) my TV via Apple TV (preferably) or Google Chromecast. How do I set this up with my curent set up.. I know I can connect a Google Chromecast Audio to either the Sonos Connect and Sonos Amp and then use Yonomi to be able to do this. So about a week and a half ago, I had some stuff stolen. A Playbar, a Play:3, and three Play:1s. I was able to recover the serial numbers off the "Registered Products" section of Sonos.com. All were listed there that night. Today I looked, and none of the stuff that was stolen is listed under that section, except the Playbar. Interestingly enough, when they took the Playbar, I don't think they took the power cord. Anyways, what I'm wondering is, the fact that those speakers that were taken are no longer listed as my registered products, does that mean they are now registered to somebody else? And does that mean somehow they can be tracked?

I use Sonos for virtually all my music playback - including local radio stations which I bring in through Tune-In and it works incredibly well except when streaming my library from my NAS which is hardwired to my network. 99% of my music is uncompressed ALAC or FLAC and it buffers so much that songs skip, drop ad are basically un-listenable. If I play one of MP3 or AAC files ..... no problem at all. My home is covered with sonos with 1 Boost Hardwired to the router alongside the NAS with 2 AMPs 1 Connect a Play 3 and a Play 5. This is a 2 part question: (1) Will adding more Boosts improve the network congestion (it's just my wife and I so there aren't many devices on the network) and help the streaming issue? (2) I've been thinking about getting a Mesh Network Setup Would configuring the Sonos to use the Wifi Network instead of its own mesh improve things. I understand there are many variable that affect the outcome so I'm looking for generalities that may help me

Yesterday I exchanged the receivers in my audio setup from an older JVC to a Marantz SR5012 machine. The Marantz works fine playing radio (tuner) and TV (connected via HDMI), driving 4 speakers and a subwoofer. However, when I connect the Sonos Connect unit, via digital optical cable into the "CD" connector, the following happens: * initially, everything is fine * then I start the music stream on the Sonos app * the receiver starts playing the music stream for maybe a second or two, and it sounds good * then the Marantz receiver turns itself off, slowly blinking the red power LED (maybe 2/sec) I have verified the cabling of my speakers, and found no issue (besides, they work fine with other music sources). I tried using a different optical cable, and even using an RCA connection - the issue remains the same. There is no problem with overheating the receiver (I probed the temperature, it's 81F/27C). Any advice?

Hi I've tried to link the Sonos connect to my Technics SU-A707 amp per the quick start guide but there are no audio in connections on the back of the amp. I'm looking to connect the two Sonos one speakers i have to my hifi set up. Can anyone help please

Appreciate there’s probably not a lot we could be told, however any indication of a new Sub under development to match output of the Beam and fall in line with it in terms of budget? The full sub would be overkill in my place and not neighbour friendly! Question also provoked by seeing the new Bose smart range including a £400 sub option.

For listening to music I use (and love) Apple Play. But I also would like to have my computer audio output be able to play through Sonos. Do I need Connect:amp for this? In other words: if I would connect my Apple audio out to the audio in of the Connect:amp will it play back wireless through my Sonos speakers?

I am wondering if I can create a home theater surround system 3.1 or 5.1 with a SONOS Connect (connected to two actice AudioPro speakers), a SONOS sub and 2 SONOS ONE speakers? Or do I need a SONOS Beam or so to make a surround system?

Here's questions if you connect a turntable to Sonos, and like to listen to records in the room where you keep the turntable. How do you deal with the slap-back delay between the needle surface noise and the music from the speakers? Has anyone tried having a separate analog connection to that room's speakers with an option to switch back and forth? My connection in the home office goes Turntable > Marantz Amp "pre out" jack > Sonos Connect:Amp > wired ceiling speakers. I think I can solve this problem if I also connect both amps to a speaker switch box, then out to the wires to the ceiling speakers. Basically choosing if I want the speakers in sync with the needle or the rest of the house. This would also help with the cable box audio into that same Marantz amp to have it be more in sync with the mouths on the TV. Any thoughts or suggestions on how to do this? If I have a 4 channel amp that is 2 ohm stable, can I wire two 4 ohm speakers in parallel in one channel and I would split the 80 rms watts per channel to 40 watts per speaker with an impedense of 2 ohms. This is because I have 4 front speakers and 4 rear.

I had a soundbar and sub in the living room for my TV. I decided to take the TV out of the room and put it upstairs taking the soundbar with it. I still wanted some background music in the living room so just bought a One to play there and want to use the sub with it. I can't get the sub to bond with the One. I don't understand the Sonos connection instructions to get it done. How can I do this? Also, before I get heat for having only one One, I am profoundly deaf in one ear and am unable to perceive stereo.

Hi, somehow the needle on my Pro Ject Essential III vinyl has come off. Can I replace just the needle or the whole component? Where might I buy? Is it difficult to reinstall? Thank you!

What is the warranty on Sonos equipment? One of my play ones has died

I just moved to a house that has speakercraft speakers in the ceiling and I know it was previously hooked up to sonos. The seller left me one of the amps and it is used to power the kitchen and living room speaker (2 speakers). I am very very new to sonos and AV. I attempted to do research and believe i wired it correctly, but I am getting poor sound quality. I know for a fact that just a few weeks ago, these speakers sounded amazing. This is what i did. For one speaker to put the green and black wire to the black connector on the amp and then the red and white wire to the red connector. For the other i did the same. Sound right? This sounds like a basic question but like i said, I am very new to this. Any help is appreciated. Photos attached

Last week friday I've got a brand new Playbase to complement my audio setup. I already own a pair of Play5s Gen2 (I love them). I set up below my TV and my pair of Play5s I moved backwards to use them as surround speakers. Honestly speaking styling look amaizing. I was really happy. Then, I played a couple of songs that I love playing in Play5s [Juno Reactor - Teahouse; Béla Fleck & The Flecktones - Flight of the cosmic hippo; Eagles - Hotel California (Live from Hell freeze over)] and I notice that sound performance decreased a lot. Low tones were not as good as previously, sound was like the speakers were about to crash. Notice that in the past the sound was simply amaizing. EQ was around 75% BASS; 50% TREBLE. So I realizen that Playbase was causing this issue. I adjusted EQ and sound improves overall, however Play5s didn't sound as great as before. I removed surrounds and group back as stereo and sound went back to original. (75% BASS; 50% TREBLE)
