Hi — I have happily had a Playbar hardwired to a Connect AMP in my lounge for a few years now. I flip between having the Connect AMP on its own to use with my vinyl, and then connecting it for surround sound for my TV. It’s become progressively easier with each upgrade, and the last iteration was pretty simple and convenient. My Connect AMP even turned out to be S2 compatible.  But now it seems there’s been a new update to S2 and the surround-adding process is different. It seems you can’t add surround unless they’re on WiFi. Is this true? Is my setup dead now? Did Sonos just break the “you’ll always be able to use your system as you have done before” pledge? I’m quite peeved. Thoughts welcome, thanks!

Hi all, Today I purchased a pair of QED Reference XT40i cables which are terminated with Airloc Banana Plugs. They go all the way into the terminals on my speakers (KEF LS50). I wanted to ask anyone who is using Banana plugs with their CONNECT:AMP if the banana plugs go all the way in, flush with the speaker terminals - or if they slightly protude? Have pushed as hard as possible, but thought it best to check before risking damage to the plugs … Thanks.

Hi––I’ve had my Port for a few weeks now and am experiencing the kind of drop out that is described in many other discussions. I’ve tried many of the suggested solutions with no improvement. Would love some help. This is pretty frustrating. Many thanks!Diagnostic = 1460156327 Best,David

The ring will not charge my move any more (I’ve had it for 3-4 months, and this started happening a week ago).   the Ubsc charger will charge the device. But not the ring.  No charging light comes on while it’s on the ring.  Help!

Hi to all.  I had a question regarding Sonos Amp and TV connection for use of in ceiling speakers.  Presently, i have full use of the in ceiling speakers for music but wanted to see if there is any way possible to connect the Sonos AMP to the TV via Cat 6 Ethernet line?  Would an expert connect which converts Cat 6 cable to HDMI be the only solution ?  Simply seeking a way to use the Ethernet line that is already ran and existing between TV and AMP so that viewings may be heard over the ceiling speakers.  Many thanks for the anticipated feedback !

Can i use Sonos amp to play vinyl through my living room setup (beam, surround and sub)?

Hi community, Hopefully someone out there can assist.  I have had issues in the past month of owning a beam where certain devices cause the beam to lose connection.I have a Samsung TV and have my beam running via HDMI ARC.  I also have a Bluray Player, Apple TV, Nintendo Switch and PS4.  After weeks of troubleshooting it seems that my issue is with the PS4. If I turn on my PS4 the console takes over my TV, which is fine as it’s running via ARC so my understanding is that devices inputs will change when devices are turned on.  The issue is that if I then switch back to another device (ie: want to watch something on TV or Apple TV while a game is installing on the PS4) I lost access to the beam and sound reverts back to my TV.  I am then unable to connect back to the beam unless I unplug the PS4 and power cycle the beam.  Not ideal and quite frustrating. I am sure there is a work around on this, however I have been unsuccessful in finding a way round it.I had the same issue with the Nint

Can I hardwire all the units, in the rack, to a single switch?Unhappy to see a Netgear ProSafe GS108 on the ‘hardware to avoid’/incompatible list. https://support.sonos.com/s/article/41?language=en_USI have several cascaded switches, in my house, all Netgear ProSafe, and all have worked perfectly (oldest 11 years).I have a Cisco RV router, and have read of the ‘RSTP’ solution.The 12 Sonos devices will be a mix of Ports and Amps.Thanks for any input, greatly appreciated.

Hello.  I”m looking for a solution and I’m hoping someone here can help me.  I currently have in wall and in ceiling speakers with the speaker wires going to a utility room.  In my living room I have a turntable.  I’d like to listen to records through the ceiling speakers.  If I buy the amp to power the speakers in the utility room and buy a port to connect to the record player, will the amp recognize the port as the outgoing signal and play through the speakers?  Sorry if this isn’t a clear ask.  Hoping someone can guide me.  Thank you!

Hi all,Currently i own an Arc, Sub and two Ones. Altough the Arc and Sub are FANTASTIC for movies, i dont like the speakers/sound coming from the back, especially when listening to music. So i tried both Ones in Stereo with Sub and Arc with Sub for music.. And that kinda suprised me because the Arc's music sound really isnt good compared to the stereo Ones.  Does anyone agree on the Arc music capabilities or am i too salty ?  Btw im using Tidal “hifi” streaming.Thanks!

I recently bought 2 Monitor Audio CP-CT380 and Sonos Connect AMP 2 revision. And I get a very sharp and screaming sound, low frequencies are muddy and accentuated, adjusting the low and high frequencies does not help. On some tracks, I think it's starting to sound normal, but mostly it's really annoying.  For example, 1 pair of Sonos One Sl sounds good, and Sonos Play 5 sounds great.Today I plugged in a 13-year-old Yamaha RX-V363 and my jaw dropped! Monitor Audio sounds great! I have a Sonos Arc that also has a metallic sound. I used to be very happy with Sonos Play 5 2-nd, but now I'm just disappointed. Sonos, what's wrong with your hearing? Why is there such a disgusting sound on some of your devices?

Hi Sonos,Please bring Trueplay functionality to the Sonos Port. I think this would significanlty differentiate the Port vs. competing products in the market and for me would make buying the Port a slam-dunk decision in favor of the Port. My 2-channel audio system currently benefits immensely from room correction but I’m looking to streamline my setup towards a Port as the sole source. I’d also happily pay an optional upcharge for such functionality if it was added and sold as an optional addon. Benefit to me would be in retiring an old PC, monitor and software currently providing digital room correction and simplifying my setup. Benefit to Sonos would be an added revenue stream for Port and more sales of Port’s the members of  the audio community in similar circumstance wanting to yield better performance out of their 2-channel setups and interaction with their listening space. Would be okay with room measurements being provided via the Sonos app on a mobile phone  though I feel higher

Has anyone upgraded from Connect to Port and noticed any appreciable improvement in sound quality (with same source material and speakers, of course)? How about any audible difference between these Sonos products and the Bluesound node 2.0i, preferably using same source?  (I would expect Bluesound with Hi-Res streaming to sound better than Sonos)

On my other Sonos Plays, I use the top button to restart the previous service/music that I was listeting to. Way more convenient/faster than using the iOS app…   No such trick on the Port without any button on this box, right?

I have upgraded my system to S2 . I now have two Play 5 Gen 1 speakers that I would like to use in a barn that has no internet connection (only cellular 4g) Is there anyway I can use these speakers using a Bluetooth receiver in the Line In port ?Thanks

Just moved into a new home and have the following configuration / pre-existing setup.5 in-ceiling speakers in main family room - to be used as surround sound for TV 2 in-ceiling speakers in another 4 rooms (2 in each room)I recently purchased a Denon AVR and Sonos Port and 2 Sonos Amps, based on recommendation of A/V representative.I have the main family room speakers connected to the Denon AVR, along with HDMI cable to TV - this is working as expected.I have the speakers from 1 of the other rooms connected to 1 of the Amps - sound is coming through these speakers. However, each set of room speakers has isolated volume controls on the wall - these volume controls are not working. Not sure how to configure the ability to use the wall volume for each set of speakers?I have also connect the Port to the Receiver via the CD ports on the Receiver. I am assuming the Port will connect to the AMPs via wireless connection (?), as the Port and Amps are all connected to my home Wi-Fi. Do I need to

Hi Everyone,I’m asking for help. I want to connect B&O Beosound 3000 with speakers to Sonos. But I also want to be able to use the B&O speakers to play the TV sound as for movies you can’t beat it.  Is this even possible? Provocations I was thinking through..1. Split the AUX on the BeoSound and have one to a Sonos Port, one to the TV?2. Use a Sonos Amp and connect the TV to the Amp and the B&O AUX to the amp? Any help would be greatly received.  

Hi, I’m wondering how much power the new Sonos Amp is putting through the sub channel? I was hoping to power 2 x Near IG8s2M and 1 x IGS13 subwoofer using the Sonos Amp. Concerned that the Sonos Amp imay be underpowered for this setup.

A surprisingly poor review of the Port was posted on their website a few days ago. They didn’t like the: Poor organisation and timing Little dynamic expression Severe lack of punch For them it was step backwards compared to the Connect. Interestingly they felt these attributes remained to a significant extent even when using a quality outboard Dac. To me this doesn’t make much sense at all. Sound quality which is “as disorganised as a teenager’s bedroom” and punch which is “so lacking you almost expect its corner to throw in the towel” would surely be a primarily a function of the built-in DAC and analogue stage. By saying things weren’t dramatically improved by using a £1200 Chord DAC, WhatHiFi appear to be pointing the finger elsewhere. Jitter perhaps? Any thoughts on this?

I have many strong feeling towards 'Recycle Mode’ but sticking plainly to the facts. Erasing user data from a device is one thing but driving up profits at the cost of the environment for profits sake alone is another. Recycle mode should be removed in my opinion, the idea of a landfill of Sonos devices that should still be in service makes anyone uneasy. Then there is the thought of all the precious metals involved in manufacture, the time it will take for those dense high-quality plastics and fibre glass to decay, the time it will take for the PCB to decay, the chemical residue that will remain afterwards in the soil, not to mention if those rare materials in manufacture were conflict free in the first place.  A quick google search of what the world does with e-waste shows a trend for shipping it to a developing country where they can be dumped and left to rot for the next millennia. That high quality poly-carbonate exterior should still be distinguishable by 3020.  My physics teache
