I am thinking about getting the new Sonos Amp and wondered about the subwoofer crossover.  Can anyone provide the technical details of the crossover when plugging in a third party sub? It says the crossover is user adjustable from 50-110 Hz. Does that mean when active, it’s both a low pass for the sub out as well as a high pass for the speakers (at the selected frequency)? What slope is the crossover (X dB / octave)?  Is it the same slope for low pass and high pass? Finally, for those using the Amp with a third party sub, how do you like it? How is the bass blend between sub and speakers? (please list where you have your crossover set) Thank you!

I have a Connect Amp and 4 arch. speakers.this will go into two patio areas, and i want to wire them through a zone selector switch (passive), 8 ohm impedance supported on the selector switch (100w per channel)is this a valid config to wire them into two zones and you can select where to play the music this way ?Thoughts ? gotchas?

Hi there,I’m considering puchasing / connecting a Sonos Port to a Denon AVR2700h 5.1.2 set up (to connect the TV speakes with the rest of the house driven by a couple of Sonos Amps). I’ve not bought any of this equipment and a bit of noob so just wondering:I assume the Sonos Amps need to stay on all the time to receive signal from the App? Is that the same for the Sonos Port? And then again for the Denon? Or do they all stay on “standby” until I use the Sonos App? Most importantly: if they are on standby, will the Sonos Port be able to “wake” the Denon? If not, is there another way of doing this?Many thanks

have wired speakers on upper and lower patio connected to anthem avm60. Have sonos port. Would like to know if port could control the volumn fron sonos app? Will i need 2 ports to control volumn on each patio? Will phone app allow this?

Lost a room from the App. Unfortunately it’s the room where I listen most. I’ve followed all the online suggestions for unplugging, rebooting etc, and have tried changing wireless channels without success (switched from channel 6 to 1 then 11, now back on 6).Diagnostic ref is 1408381915There is a current problem with Virgin Media services in my area. On demand services have been patchy of late (e.g. iPlayer won’t load) and Virgin now have a system message up stating that on demand services will be down till end Monday (1Feb21) - could these issues be related?  

Hi,I’ve a ZP80 that I’ve kept around to use the line-in input for a turntable. I have not used this for a while, (and it worked perfectly in the past), but when I try to use it now it does not work, I can’t get audio from the ZP80 tline-in o other Sonos speakers in the house. The ZP80 is showing that Line-in is connected, but no audio. Thanks,Ian

I see that similar questions have been asked in the past, but I’m wondering if there is any update. I own a few houses, each has multi zone Levitan audio systems in them which I hate. I would love to replace my 12 zone and 16 zone house systems with a similar Sonos system without having to buy 30+ connect amps. Are you developing a multi zone system, or is one of your partners developing a Sonos compatible multi zone system?

 i have four architectural speakers that i am planning to hang them facing down from the ceiling - on the rafters of this covered patio. there will be 4 speakers for a total coverage of 330 sq ft (rectangular 12ft x 33 ft ) sized patio. Is this a good orientation for these speakers ?

I just upgraded from Connect:Amp to Amp. I notice a big difference in volume at the same setting, which I expected, but also a huge difference in sound quality. Bass is way fuller, mids and treble way clearer. Overall, much “punchier”. I did not expect that. My speakers are Martin Logan Motion 40s.Anyone else’s experience of this upgrade?  

I had a Yamaha receiver and a Connect hooked up to a set of 12 ceiling speakers (6 pair upstairs and downstairs). Unfortunately, they were all wired into 1 total set so I have 4 wires total that can only run the whole system at once (but I have individual volume controls in each room). I want to get rid of this and upgrade to S2 with 1 Amp-still would all just run the whole system. Will the Amp be able to handle that? Also, they were unplugged when they did the install so I don’t know what is L/R & Red/Black or how they are configured, I just know I have 4 wires total. Can I just experiment without destroying the Amp. No way for me to figure which is which, not even sure how it’s all wired.

Hello,the power supply to the Sonos Port is 12 V, 1 A. What is the dimension of the DC plug into the Sonos Port. Is it 5.5/2.1 mm or is it 5.5/2.5 mm (outer/inner diameter)?

I'm a new audio enthusiast and after months of research and looking for an amp to power my Totem Acoustic 2.1 system, I pulled the trigger on the Sonos amp. ​​​​​​In all honesty I tried to avoid buying the Sonos amp as I am wary of getting locked into an ecosystem, but in the end it simply offered the best combination of features and price. I wanted to share this feedback with Sonos and the community.  Here's what I discovered while looking for an amp/receiver. Generally these products are divided into two categories: the first is hi-fi amps for stereo enthusiasts to power 2.1 systems. Usually these have limited digital inputs and since the focus is on classic audio inputs very few have HDMI (although this is changing). It's also difficult to find home theatre settings such as sub cross over. Then you have AV receivers that give you everything but are MASSIVE. Can the Connect Amp drive only 2 pairs of architectural speakers ?Only with the new Amp can do 6 ? TIA

Hey there! Curious which source level other people have chosen for their turntable set up. I’m using a Technics 1210 mk2 with a Rolls VP29 preamp into a Sonos Amp and usually hover around 2 or 3.

My Play 5 no longer 'remembers' the last last content it played after being inactive. It defaults back to line-in.Line-in is connected to a set top box.My other Sonos kit always presents its most recent content to resume playing after being inactive.Any ideas out there that will make 5he play 5 behave?I'm on S2.

We built our house with a media/data/com room. I currently have a Sonos Port hard-wired to my router and connected to my whole home stereo receiver inside the media room. In another room I have two sonos (Play 1) speakers that play music from the Port, also in the same room as the speakers I have a tv that is connected to my home wireless network. What is the easiest way, (or is it possible) to play my TV sound wirelessly through the speakers in the same room? Running a separate cable from the TV to the Sonos-Port is not an option. Thanks! Apologies if this is a basic question. Is it possible to output from sonos amp’s banana to mini jack? Are there adapters for this and how to search for them (cables plus adapters)? Thanks in advance 

This is my setup:In my living room I have four wired speakers, have just purchased a new soundbar and sub, and am looking for a new receiver. In my kitchen and on my back patio, I have four wired speakers that are connected to a Sonos Connect. I stream Apple Music through the Connect and can play the same music inside and out at the same time. I want to wirelessly pair the new receiver I am about to purchase to the Connect so I can stream music in both areas at the same time. I’m considering a Denon receiver but haven’t made a decision yet. I’m just not 100% sure how to make this happen, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a pair of floorstanders that I’d like use in new house but cannot run speaker cable to inconspicuously! There are power outlets already at each location of the floorstandrrs, can I use individual amps , 1 wired to the left flloostander and the other wired to the right floor stander to created a stereo pair- by grouping amps ??? Or by some other manic! 

I have 2 Sonos 1s and a sonos amp powering 2 Cerwin Vega XSL-12s. Can I add a passive equalizer between the Sonos amp and the XLS-12s? My old receiver had treble high and mid as well as bass low and mid controls that gave my CVs a real nice thump. I am not able to get that out of just the amp. 

I have an older Sonos system- bridge connected to my router, ZP 90 connected to denon receiver & a ZP120 (Connected by RCA) to cable box. The ZP120 was added so that I can listen to the (inside) TV in my outside (patio) speakers (hardwired). I’ve recently bought a Samsung TV (no RCA), ended up changing my cable box (spectrum d/t issues). I’ve had to factory reset my receiver & Sonos system d/t some connectivity issue (dropping audio).All of this issues have resolved except for one. I cannot get audio from my TV audio to play via ZP120. I can use all other apps like pandora, spotify, etc (audio works fine) except for “line in” audio even though it looks like it is working. I had a local Sonos dealer tech check and the only thing that he came up with was that it may be the cable box (not converting digital/analog signal)- recommended that I try HDMI audio extractor or Digital to analog converter. I spoke with Sonos help and they saw that it looked like it was working but still no

Hello,my current set-up is as follows: room1  - air beam & sub woofer, room 2 - play 3, room 3 - play 5.In room 1 air beam is connected to TV. I can easily play all my digital music anywhere in the house from the app. But I have a CD player in room 1 and would like to play CD’s. Question: Do I need Sonos Connect or Sonos Amp. Furthermore, if I were to play vinyl I assume I would need the Amp. Thanks 

Hi, just bought the Sonos Amp but want to run 2 x speakers for turntable and 2 x speakers outside. Both speakers 8 ohms, any recommendations on how to isolate just say the outside speakers or ab switch. TIA

Hi everyone,I am an happy owner of the Sonos Amp that would love to be even happier :-)I love my Sonos Amp for a lot of reasons but to be even more amazing it would be unreal to be able to play uncompressed audio. I know that’s not possible on this device as it needs earc but why not a New Sonos Amp, and why not at least 1 HDMI input, that would be incredibly useful for people that do not have an earc compatible TV.As an improvement of the existing one, the ability to play Dolby atmos tracks (compressed DD+) would be a game changer and a reason for many Sonos owners to buy the Sonance or even another Amp (I would).The ability to add a center channel with some of the existing Sonos lineup or other party would also be out of this world but again that requires new hardware.I hope this gets considered, thank you!
