the power supply to the Sonos Port is 12 V, 1 A. What is the dimension of the DC plug into the Sonos Port. Is it 5.5/2.1 mm or is it 5.5/2.5 mm (outer/inner diameter)?

I’d suggest that you need to be careful, in that it’s not a published interface, so Sonos could (in theory) change the size at any time during production.
But the Port that I have here - bought just over a month ago - has a plug/socket which appears to be 5.5/2.1. Difficult to be precise, as the pin is recessed and so it’s not easy to measure with vernier calipers (or anything else for that matter) but it’s not as large as 2.5mm.
