Hi, I would really appreciate some experienced guidance, please bear with me. I have recently inherited an outstanding vinyl collection. I want to integrate a turntable into my Sonos ecosystem and at the same time do full justice to the vinyl.Primary question: Will a higher end turntable & preamp still sound noticeably better than a budget turntable once digitised and compressed by Sonos? Will a higher end turntable offer the same value through Sonos than a traditional wired setup?For detail, I’m looking at buying either the more budget Rega P1 (£250) or the more expensive P3 (£600) turntable. I am also still undecided in which room to place the turntable. Either Room 1 with either a single Sonos five or, Sonos Port and a pair of Ones (the Ones would be in alcoves and we would listen from multiple positions so stereo is difficult to achieve). Or Room 2, through Sonos Port with existing beam/sub/play ones setup. On the other hand, should I consider Room 1 with Sonos Amp and some rea

Excuse the perhaps silly question but I’m stumped. If I have the Sonos Amp, and the Rega Planar P1 turntable (which has no preamp), how can I get them working with my Sonos Five to play my records? Any advice is massively appreciated! Thank you.

Hi,I have an old Pioneer PL12D turntable with no pre amp. It currently connects to my hi fi system through the phono in of a Rotel amp which also has tape in and out sockets. Can I use the existing amp to connect to a Sonos port rather than buy a separate pre-amp?

Im currently using my iMac PC as a source using its headphone out to line in on my sonos amp - and am able to get up to a maximum 96khz if im correct?Can I add a dac such as the iFi Zen DAC to enable me to get higher than 96khz ?Imac/Zen/dac/Sonos amp/B&W passive speakers Ken

So my power just stopped working on my bridge, called tech support, after troubleshooting she told me the until is now broken but could sell me a new unit. I don’t touch or move my sonos unit, how could it “break”?? Need an alternative to the system. If I were interested in buying something that just “breaks” after a while, I’d buy another iPhone. Warranty, not worranty, jeeze

does anyone run this combination using 4 of the in ceiling speakers?  If so any issues with it? 

I used my 30% S1 discount for a Sonos Port and used a gen 1 Play 5.   Decided to return the Port, and did so.  Problem is, now my Sonos system shows the Port as “offline” and the Play 5 status as “Upgraded”.  Do you lose the discount after a return?  I would like to get a Amp, but missing out on the discount makes it a tough s ell

I would iike to use my revel M106 speakers with the sonos amp. It is my understanding that I can’t use trueplay with non sonos speakers (someone correct me if I’m wrong). My question is using the sonos amp with my speakers and adding the sonos sub. Can I use trueplay in this scenario?Thanks

This is more like a feature request :)It would be nice to have a device like the Sonos Port but with HDMI input. A Sonos Amp without amplifier or a Port with HDMI input :) Example.Use 2 Sonos speakers (stereo) with tv     

It is possible to add a sub wirelees non sonos to a sonos system with a play five?

Is it possible to add a light indicator somewhere on the Beam to show the current volume level? Many TV’s do not show the current volume even when using ARC. They just show +/- when adjusting volume. It’s super annoying having to look at the app to see what the volume level is. Other soundbars will show a light indicator bar when you press volume +/-, then it fades out after a few seconds. 

HiJust bought a Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB to go with my Sonos in the house.I plugged it into my Play5 and it sounds pretty good but I get a low boom distortion at higher volume.The volume on the line in is at max and I’ve checked the connections.Is this showing the limits of the pre amp on the Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB? If so can I improve the sound using another stand alone pre- amp?Many thanks in advanceNNW64

Hi I have a Turntable and a CD player which I want to connect to a Sonos port, I also have a pre amp for TT, can’t find way to get to work help please

It says if I use Sonos amp with a wired sub along with 4 wire ceiling speakers for home theater for my TV the SUB would not work.  Why is that?If I use the Sonos Wireless sub instead, then can I would it work for my TV home theater along with the 4 ceiling speakers?

What happens if you use a passive speaker with the Port or old Connect device?  Is there no sound, or just weak sound?

I’d really like to see this feature come to AMP. The fact that it is possible for the same speakers as surrounds means it should be possible for the same speakers as mains. I get Sonos wants ppl to purchase their own speakers but this isn’t always feasible. It would be a great differentiator if this feature was added.  

If using a sonos port connected to a pair of KRK active speakers can you control the volume? I have tested connecting a turntable direct to krk’s and they sound really nice. Trouble is volume on both is at the back and independent...

Professional install of amp for my garage speakers but the Sonos app shows a non-existent tv as a source and Alexa shows a tv there as well. Was the amp registered wrong or is it picking up another tv on my system? When I click on the tv source it says connection error. It also shows line in which works fine. Is there anyway to remove the tv source?

I was interested in hooking up a turntable to my Sonos system.  But I can’t see what is different about the “Sonos edition” Pro-Ject turntables from what I could buy elsewhere as a standard Pro-Ject turntable (including the upgraded EVO version of the Debut Carbon).  At first, I thought that the Sonos versions would have the built in electronics to broadcast directly to Sonos speakers.  But all the Sonos content I read seems to indicate that the turntable stills needs a wired connection to a Sonos speaker, Connect, or Amp.  And there isn’t any documentation listed for the Sonos edition turntables when I go to the product guides page.So my question:  What’s to gain by buying a Sonos edition turntable vs. buying a Pro-Ject elsewhere?

I want to add a turntable to my Sonos setup. I have a sub, playbar and Sonos ones in the room I want to add the turntable to. What do I need to connect a deck to this setup? A Sonos Port or Connect or Connect amp? Thanks in advance

Hi. My setup: Nvidia Shield-->hdmi-->Hisense 65” smart tv-->hdmi ARC-->Sonos amp.With “passtrugh setting” on TV menu audio I can ear sound from my speaker with Kodi app but when I try to start Netflix app the sound go away.Same issue with Diney+.I try to test all setting on Shield, but I can’t solve the problem.There’s some way to fix this issue?Thanks in advance.

I have a Cambridge Topaz CD10 CD player. With the old Sonos 1 amp, this worked perfectly. However, it does not show up on the Sonos 2 app. I suspect this is due to cable connection problems. Neither the existing cable nor an RCA cable I ordered from Sonos makes the right connection: the cable jacks do not make a sufficient connection in the amp input sockets.

I purchased a 1952 Seeburg M100C jukebox. Is there a way to connect this safely to my Sonos system to hear my music throughout the house?
