Sonos Beam and Move In Kitchen / Dining Room

Hi,

 

I have a beam, ones and sub for the lounge - I understand the surround setup and how sonos works pretty well. But I also have a Move that I was planning to put in our new open plan kitchen to connect to the TV in there for listening to the TV and music.


Can I just check with someone; if I connect a new beam to the dining room tv via HDMI, I can group the sound coming from the TV to the move in the kitchen (beam and move playing the same sound)? In addition to that I know (99% sure) I can also send the lounge 5.1 sound to the kitchen should I wish.

Hi. Thanks. Yea I know the Move can’t be connected to the TV. I would connect the move to WIFI and therefore could be grouped with the audio of the beam.

The answer is ‘Yes’ you can but there will be a noticeable audio lag on the audio output from the Move.

Remember: Sometimes Red Wine helps :)

Also, you can’t connect a TV to the Move (I assume you intend using BT) without also experiencing a lip sync issue as well.
