I've just bought an Era100, showing in the Sonos app as not registered, tried to register lots of times, uninstall the app, restarted router and phone but it still shows the spanner and says problem with app. Getting extremely frustrated. Can't group other speakers to it.
Hi,I have a two pair Era 100 that are connected to the computer (Mac) with Line in and it’s doesn’t work well. When I play a video or something else only one of the speakers work (the wired one). I tried to repair them and both worked to few hours and it’s back. How do I fix it?Thank you.
I just got two Era 300s and a sub for my house, where I host a lot of dance parties. I was super excited by how rich and powerful the sound was when I put volume up all the way, but I noticed it suddenly cut the volume down to 15% on certain tracks when the bass kicked in. I’m curious if this is a safety feature to keep the speakers from damaging themselves, or if there’s something wrong?I’m worried it’ll do that in the middle of the parties, but also don’t wanna damage the speakers. Thoughts?
Since 15.2, Apple Music playback is far too loud and is preventing thousands (if not millions) from using their Sonos systems properly. 15.3 has just come out and it does NOT resolve this issue. Apple Music playback is still far too loud.Sonos support also do not care about the issue, will no longer respond to me, and have closed my ticket as being fixed. See related thread -
Hi,I have issues with my Sonos products getting disconnected - they show up as disconnected in the app. Sometimes the app fails to detect the Sonos system at all. After rebooting the speakers it runs fine for a day or so until the problems start again. I always thought this might be due to bad wifi because I was living in a small apartment in a big city and there wasn’t much I could do about wireless interference. However, I recently moved into my own house, updated all ethernet and wifi infrastructure - yet I still have these issues. The weird thing is that other devices on the same network run totally fine (streaming Netflix, etc.) and I do get a ping reply from all Sonos speakers all the time - so there are no “real” network disconnects/STP problems, etc. I used to have the same SSID for 2,4Ghz and 5Ghz Wifi, but recently splitted it, giving the 5Ghz a new name. I moved all my speakers into the new Wifi - I can tell from the router that they are connected to the correct SSID and the
Recently purchased a Sonos Arc, I installed in on the wall and hooked it up to HDMI and started using it right away. we didn’t have any internet yet so I did not set it up in the Sonos app. Now that we have internet I tried to set up the Arc through wifi, I tried countless times and it wouldn’t take. I tried via Ethernet Cable and was able to add it and create a system, well, for about 2 minutes until it went offline. I tried and tried to get it back and it would not locate my Arc. So I factory reset the Arc as per manual by unplugging the power and holding the pair button until the light goes white / orange. Now even with the light slowly blinking green I cannot detect my arc on the app unless there’s a Ethernet cable plugged in, and even when I try to set up with an Ethernet cable which I didn’t want to use, it still won’t finish set up. My Sonos sub on the other hand, paired with ny wifi connection no issues, sitting in the app waiting for a fricken speaker. Arc sound works g
Ok so I used to be able to play anything on myphone over the Sonos system which was great because I produce and mix music and sometimes I want to throw it on to hear a mix for reference. Sometimes I’ll make a video of a performance with my camera roll and I want to hear the audio and I would throw it on the Sonos system… lately nothing plays that isn’t “Pandora or iTunes “ etc… I can’t play the audio from a video anymore? I can’t believe they would just turn that ability off?! What am I paying all this money to have these speakers if they don’t play everything I want to play through them? It’s ridiculous… I see people talking about airplay and I am not seeing anything on my phone showing the Sonos… I see screen mirroring and up where the air play is I can select the Move but then no sound from the camera roll… I’m kind of angry about this and I dunno if I’m missing something so I hope I’m wrong here before I got out and bash these guys on social media lol anyone know what’s up??
As a music enthusiast, I'm curious about the audio quality of Sonos speakers compared to traditional hi-fi systems. Could you provide a comprehensive analysis, highlighting the strengths and potential limitations of Sonos speakers in delivering a premium listening experience?*Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.*
Hi,I recently changed my wifi service from Shaw to Telus ( Vancouver BC) and after that I am unable to log in though the wifi is being detected by SONOS and after putting the password the system just does not connect. I have bought the same from IKEA - SYMFONISK speakers . and how do you a hard reset on this speaker?
Spring is in the air👋 Hello everyone…In stead of getting a Sonos Arc for my bedroom i bought two Gen 3’s instead….and i switch from Era 100’s to Ikea Symfonisk Lamp Gen 2 for surrounds…and i could not be more happy. I took the Sonos Sub mini i had in the bedroom, and connected it to my Five’s stereopair. It made a huge difference as well. Now my wonders are…how much difference will a Gen-sub do vs the Sub mini? Of course it’s just for me to try,but i’m just curious if someone allready have done this…i mean there have been people here who got a Gen-sub connected, but did they try a Sub mini first/after?What was their verdict? Be Well🙏
I’ve been suffering audio dropouts for months on my most-used speakers - a pair of Play 3s in the bedroom. I’ve tried so many things reconfiguring my network and with/without SonosNet, but the problem always returns.A reboot fixes them for 24-48 hours. After four lengthy support calls with different technicians over the last two weeks, I was told this morning that the problem is that the Play 3 has not got enough memory and after 24-48 hours it runs out and that is why the audio starts dropping. I was told to either replace them or switch them off at night and switch them on again in the morning.Setting a different alarm to switch my speakers on so that the Sonos alarm can wake me up with the radio is self-defeating and is a total hack. This is clearly a SOFTWARE problem if the memory is sufficient after a reboot but then “fills up” over time. This is just about memory management and I don’t like being told that my much-loved speakers are now obsolete.I have 13 Sonos speakers around the
I have ten Sonos speakers in two homes and they have become nothing more than bricks. I now listen to music on my crappy Android because trying to control Sonos is utterly impossible. The software just does not work any more. It takes three minutes to load and connect and then pause takes five more minutes. Yes I have tried switching channels and reboot my router on a daily basis because I own your *** products. It wasn't like this five years ago. What went wrong ?Moderator note: Language modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
I want to buy a second hand Sonos One Gen 2. Please help me to check the warranty for Sonos One with sn: ********************* Many thanks in advance Moderator edit: serial number recorded and removed
Help please 🤞I have a Connect Amp, which controls ceiling speakers, together with a Beam and One (both Gen 1).Had signal difficulties with the Connect Amp so switched it off/reset it and it’s now working perfectly however in the process I’ve lost any connection to the Beam and the One. They don’t even feature on the Sonos App, they’ve just disappeared.I took the One to the router and connected it via an Ethernet cable, it and the Beam then appeared back on the app but the Connect Amp disappeared. After I disconnected it, the One and the Beam disappeared and the Connect Amp reappeared. 🤬I know I’m being stupid somewhere but would be extremely grateful if someone could tell me where I’m going wrong.Previously the Connect Amp, Beam and One were all on the Sonos app and worked perfectly.Thank you in anticipation
If you have hearing aids linked to your iPhone through the Settings->Accessibility menu, you are like to encounter errors during Sonos setup and Trueplay tuning. Specifically: When setting up new Sonos speakers, I get error messages that I need to cease using AirPlay to continue the Setup process, even when I am NOT using AirPlay. When running Trueplay, I get error messages indicating that there is too much background noise to run Trueplay, and to try again later. The resolution is simple - I have to turn my hearing aids off during setup and Trueplay tuning. But the error messages are off point, and nowhere on this forum or in the product documentation have I seen this issue documented. Hence, my post, in the hope it will save some future user some frustration down the line! For the record, my hearing aids are Philips brand, sold through Costco, and thus very commonly used.
usually reliable sound and playback on my play:3 speaker until recently. now its a daily event and multiple times making the system unusable in the main.nothing has changed in terms of location of the speaker or router; have done a router reboot, power off/on of play3 as per previous comments on similar issues. what is the underlying issue here, what has changed & what is the resolution to return to the good user experience previous? have submitted diagnostics : 706080232 Moderator edit: changed “raised support case” to “submitted diagnostics”
HelloI've been using Apple Music with my era 300 and it's been nothing but glorious until a few weeks ago. While playing a song in Dolby Atmos, I can audibly notice that my speaker randomly switches to the stereo version of the song. It happens very regularly (every 2-3 songs) and it's extremely jarring. I had 3 months with Amazon music before and never encountered any issue.Everything is up to date and I haven't modified my internet connection/parameters. Has anyone encountered a similar issue?
I have 3 era 100s. all 3 consistently show up in the Windows app (always there) but 2 of the 3 rarely show up in the Iphone app both in control panel Airplay and on the app system. Both will work with SVC but not available to cast music from my Iphone. Unplugging and restarting is only a temporary fix and before long the speakers become unavailable again.I haven’t done a recent reset but after the last time I reset, the problem arises again soon thereafter. I’m on a newer Netgear mesh router where one of the hubs is only 2 feet away from one of the Era 100s not visible. Otherwise my WIFI is rock solid. My Sonos Roam always appears available along with the Arc and Port.My Sonos arsenal: 3 Era 100s, Arc, Sub Mini, 1 Roam, 1 Port.
Hi! I've had my pair of SYMFONISK speakers in my surround setup for close to a year now. Unfortunately one of them appears to have died - no led light or sign of life within the Sonos app. I tried using the power cable from the other working speaker, and other wall sockets, but still no success.Has anybody experienced or heard of similar before? I didn't manage to find any information online of similar experiences. It just literally seems to have died with no abuse. It was always taken good care of.
My Play5 make a tiking sound After a while It Is on.There Is the noise when I play music and even when I don't play.It starts slow and became faster and faster.Anybody has a solution? Thanks
I have a play one underneath a fake fireplace that I use for fireplace sounds. Now I added another play:one to the other side of the room. I paired them to create stereo set. now my frustration is that I can no longer use the single speaker for the ambient sound. mis there a way to sort of duplicate the spreker so it’s able to be selected as a stand alone but also as part of a set? I would hate to pair and unpair them all the time.
Mr. Spence,I tried Sonos for the first time and was excited to do so. My colleagues have told me about the Sonos brand for years and on their urging I purchased three Sonos Move (2) directly from Sonos. My order arrived and all three Sonos Move (2) had issues with not being packaged correctly and damage on all the units. I waited over an hour on hold and spoke to a Sonos customer service representative who assured me the issues will be investigated and I will receive an email. I had to call another four times and chat twice to receive a return label to return the three damaged units. When I tried using the return label for each unit, only one return label was valid and I paid for a box and sent all three units back with the one label. It has been over a month since the units were received and I still do not have my refund. The offshore customer service cannot transfer to a supervisor, does not understand issues and is a nightmare to speak with. I cannot believe my experience has been so
Hi there, I'm a music professional (sound engineer) with a 7.1.4 Atmos studio in France. I own 2 Arc 300. Those are fantastic speakers for Atmos playback and are paving the way towards Atmos adoption by the general public. Awesome job Sonos ! But I need to be able to play local Atmos files (.mp4 with DD+ JOC endoding) for quality control before sending to online services. I need also my clients to be able to do that so they can approve the mixes outside the realm of my studio and their headphones. The only way right now appears to be through an apple TV to an HDMI equipped Sonos Beam 2 / Arc with Era 300 as surrounds. This is not ideal, and quite more expensive, and I very much enjoy front facing Era 300 (as surrounds, the front drivers are deactived by design). Sonos Era 300 are already streaming DD+ JOC files from Apple and Tidal, it shouldn't be too difficult to do so from a local NAS / phone ? Please Sonos 🙏
Hi,I’ve had a long time problem with the Play:3 and Amp products in my system, dropping out and skipping, most frequently just one channel of a stereo pair of Play:3.As two Play:3 units are in an extension, effectively outside the original house, I invested in a Ubiqiti UniFi switch and added hard wired WiFi points in a few rooms (including the extension). I’ve tried both with SonosNet and wi-fi only configurations. There are a number of articles on configuring the plethora of options on the UniFi switch, which I have followed, but it seems that Sonos works less well with a decent switch than a cheap ISP provided wifi/router/modem combo. Go figure. The frustrating thing through all of this is the amount of time that I have spent explaining all of this to Sonos support and the process that I go through every time with this. The problem is effectively resolved by switching the speakers on and off again. Each time on support calls I am asked to turn off everything, including all Sonos unit
I used to play music through mobile's bluetooth on my era 300. Today for some reason i reset my mobile'n network and paired era again now i am not getting any audio from the speaker.
