Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience? I sent a Playbar (£699) back for a refund over 3 weeks ago, this was part of the 100 day money back guarantee as it had been purchased 2 months earlier. The next working day i received an email to say it had been received and a refund would be issued within 7 working days. This did not happen. On the 8th working day i phoned to query and was told that the refund had been done (i now know this to be a lie) and the money would be with me by the end of the week and to phone and query again if i didnt get the refund. Come Friday, no refund. I phoned again on and i was told by someone that were looking into it and they would create a ticket for me. An hour later i received an email from Sonos opening up a case for me with the message 'Unfortunately we are not able to do the refund back to your original method of payment as the authorization that was taken from your payment has expired. Hence we would like to procee
I have a PLAY:5 v2 speaker which I use in standard setup (ie using the home WiFI network) and I understand that if I connect it directly to the router a seperate mesh network will be created. My question is this. I control my music from an iPhone. Can I access the Sonos speaker while connected to my home WiFi network or do I have to be connected to this SonosNet mesh network?
On certain movie scenes and songs, there is a loud vibration sound from inside the beam. As you look at it, it’s just to the right of the middle. Is this a broken part to the speaker? It has never been moved since I first unwrapped it and put it out on the tv stand.
I've been thinking how I would make my Sonos One temporarily portable for use on patio for an hour or two. Has anyone tried a portable battery with an AC outlet like this http://a.co/fVsXngp ? Not sure how well it would work or how long it would last but might be an decent option in a pinch.
Bought the soundbar even though I thought it would not likely work well - have bought Sonos before and returned products. The sound from the other speakers (Sonos 1’s and a Sonos 3) CONSTANTLY drops out. Much preferable just to listen to the sound through the tv. Seems like complete waste. Am I wrong or are most people generally disappointed in Sound bar - and if not, how are you not?
Power at all. Have changed fuse in plug.
I purchased the Sonos Beam launch week. It was my first Sonos product ever. I have always been a Bose/Polk/BW fan. I have enjoyed the Sonos Beam UNTIL TODAY. I purchased a new Wifi Router and learned the hard way that you cannot reconfigure the WiFi setting without physically wiring the Beam to the new router via Ethernet. This is 2018, this should NOT be an issue. In my case, my router is in my attic behind two very small doors. My beam was downstairs in my study. All this meant that I had to completely move my TV, disconnect the beam's power supply from behind it, carry my Beam upstairs and go through two small attic doors to hardwire it to my new router just to connect it to the new WiFi network. Why in the world can you not do this from the app, wirelessly, is simply beyond me. It was enough of a struggle that I will never buy another Sonos product. That one cannot reconfigure WiFi without having to hard wire is the most idiotic and nonsensical aspect of any produc
I have purchased this Lucky Voice set of mics http://shop.luckyvoice.com/products/lucky-voice-party-box-karaoke-machine-white-mic But am trying to see if I can connect this to a Sonos 3 (or 5) as I cannot connect it to my tv. Has anyone tried this? Do I need to purchase a Connect (zone player 90) as this seems like an expensive way to use it! Thanks
I am wondering if I can send in my old play 5 gen1s to Sonos or an outside vendor center where they can upgrade the 2.4ghz WiFi to 5ghz WiFi for surround sound enablement or just rebuild/refoam the speakers after a set amount of time
Sonos has stopped working since the last update. I tried to reinstall the desktop controller but am told that my OS is too old - I am using Yosemite 10.10.5. I don't want to change my entire OS just for Sonos. Hugely frustrating. Can I get an older version of the controller anywhere to download?
It would be great to see alarms play on pre-grouped rooms, but not using the "Include in grouped rooms" setting as I am likely to change grouping throughout the day, and so when the alarm goes off it doesn't work for me, that it plays on the my previous days groups. It is also not ideal to set several alarms playing the same source (in my case TuneIn radio), as it is massively out of sync. I think this would be a huge benefit as did your engineer when I spoke to them earlier. Thanks.
Hi, I live in the UK, I bought 2 x Sonos One's in March, didn't like them so returned them. As of today, it's been over a month since Sonos received the speakers I returned, and I'm still waiting to receive a refund. Without going into any detail I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue? And if you have, is there a way to resolve it. I get a strong sense that Sonos is holding on to customers cash because they keep telling me "next week", "next week" etc. Many thanks, Richard
I am thinking of connecting my ZP80 directly to a Power Amplifier (using RCA cables from the analogue out). Does anyone have any experience of doing this? I am not an expert in music engineering, so I have a few questions that I do not seem to be able to Google my way out of: 1. What is a suitable Input Impedance and Input Sensitivity for the Power Amplifier? 2. Will I find that the results are extremely loud (i.e. I will only be able to use the very bottom of the volume control and risk blow-out if I accidentally switch to fixed volume). 3. Is the volume control on the ZP80 an attenuator or is the volume controlled by altering the digital signal? (This question relates to the analogue out.) Thanks for any help! John
Will start on a positive for Sonos.....When it works I love it!! Sadly, I keep having problems and I'm getting bored with it! There are people on this Forum that love the issues and how they got round this problem and that problem, I'm not one of them. I'm not a Techy geek, this stuff bores the shit out of me. Have had email tennis with Support, Facebook messenger tennis with Support and I've spoken to Support! All been very helpful and have got to the bottom of the problem eventually and fixed it.......Then a month later, more problems!! More email tennis, Support questioning why I've set Sonos the way I have, Err because that's how Support told me to set it up a month ago!! When it works I love it, but when I get more and more problems I feel robbed. This system is soooo eratic and sooo frustrating. I'm looking at the Beam, but can't bring myself to buy more disappointment!!
Since the Play 3’s has been discontinued. Will the 3’s still be supported by Sonos?
Airplay 2 disappears frequently and have to reboot to get it back. Can't connect to new wifi. So I did a factory reset according to the forum. Ask Alexa to play spotify. She said "the device is offline" Reset Alexa. Ask again. "hmm. add skill and ask me to find the device." Seriously? Such a rubbish product.
Hi Finally decided to order a sonos one but want to get a stand at the same time so its not likely to get damaged Does anyone have any opinions on the flexson vs the sanus stand for the sonus one? What ive read so far seems to suggest that neither are that secure and knowing how clumsy me and the cat are i dont want to risk anything but the best
I made the mistake and invested in multi room Sonos system comprises of play 5s and 1s. The two Play 5 speakers are configured in stereo mode in the living room installed over dedicated stands. One of the Play 5 stopped connecting to the network. Sonos “generous” response (after exauhsting me with tons of checks, reports, etc etc) was to offer me a replacement for 400 Euros !!! They claimed they will send me the gen2 speaker. As I have a stereo pair and already invested in stands I just wanted to repair the faulty speaker. They responded that they cannot repair and were suggesting to replace both speakers for 1158 Euros. I am soooooo upset. Seriously looking into returning the new Play1s and sell the other Play 5. All I can say - Don’t buy Sonos !!
I have not added to my Sonos system for some time but last week i purchased a new Play 1 to create a stereo pair in one of the rooms. No issues with pairing or playing anything etc and the software has been updated. But what i have noticed is that the LED status light is considerably brighter on the new speaker than it is on the older one. The only difference i can see is the Hardware Versions but this shouldn't make a difference? Existing Play 1 Hardware Version: 1.8.3.7-2 New Play:1 Hardware Version: 1.20.1.6-2 Is the difference in LED brightness normal? Thx
When playing my sonos play 1( I have to them together) using true play at low volumes on certain songs it sounds distorted and occasionally you get a pop which I think is a safety cut out. If you turn trueplay off sounds much better and you can increase the volume Any ?
Hey, I’ll get straight to it - Sonos is not playing (ie in sleep mode) Play / Pause button is pressed Q: what will it start to play? (I remember reading somewhere it will start playing the last playlist/music it was before it was turned to sleep’ I can’t remember where I saw this - geez maybe I’m imagining it, just thought I’d would ask you all). If anyone has the reference for the answer to this can you please post? Cheers! 😉
Hi everyone, recently purchased a couple of Sonos One's which I have as a stereo pair in my living room. The last few nights I have noticed something a little odd. When listening to Google Play Music or Spotify at around 30% volume, on some tracks some of the bass notes are much louder than the rest of the song. It's sounds quite weird, like the drummer is giving the bass drum a hard thwack but only on certain notes. The music I was playing at the time was 80's/90's rock and indie and I have the equalizer at around 70% bass/treble. I have done the trueplay setup and loudness is on. Has anyone else come across this? Thanks
I have a Play 5 that, I think, has blown the bass. In the low range of songs played loudly (not full volume), I get bad vibrations. Is there troubleshooting I can do? Anyone else experience?
Every time I use SonosOne to ’play’ the audio from my Apple TV it gets cut off constantly. This happens with different apps (Netflix, Dazn, Crave Tv, Prime video, etc). Considering that could be an internet connection issue I connected the SonosOne via cable to my modem but it did not get the issue solved. It there any way to get this fixed?
Is this a new era of Sonos post IPO where we are going to be faced with planned obsolescence to try and make share holders happy? This 10+ year customer and shareholder (who used to have more $$ in his portfolio before buying SONO) is excited to invest in Sonos, but was truly scared about how the IPO would destroy the things people loved most about Sonos. So the question is, did Apple make Airplay 2 so f'ing complicated that we need Quantum computing to transfer audio from an iOS device or is Sonos looking to start the feature game to try and force me to upgrade the Connect: Amp in my bedroom to a new Amp? It's cool.... I'll have my wife play her Podcast to the hallway outside my sleeping kids bedrooms, Group the zones, then go back in and mute the hallway. Any chance there can be an "Airplay2 Receiver" that can show up as a Source? FYI - Having music playing on my Android device to ANY zone in the house still sounds FANTASTIC as things always do on my Sonos gear.
