We just moved to a new house, and I can't find a configuration to stream music to Sonos from my NAS. Old farmhouse, thick wall, etc, the usual problems. Currently, almost the only electric gadgets connected are Sonos and the Wifi (an Orbi Mesh system, base with 4 satellites), so not much interference possible. Sonos is on Channel 1, the wireless on 11. The the LAN connection between the two is from one of the Orbi Satellites to a Sonos Bridge, and the NAS connects physically to the same Orbi. (To minimize distance over the air.) Spotify generally plays fine, NAS gets the above message - sometimes every 10 songs, sometimes all the time. My music on the NAS is almost all in FLAC. The diagnostic is 2104916441. I had the music only playing in one room on purpose (thought it might be a grouping issue). Thanks in advance Chris
I have had my sonos 3s for like 5+ years now and I love them. I also recently got the sub+playbar+play1 (old style) set. Those are great also. Ive always wanted play 5s, so i started looking into them online and found lots of issues of failure and wifi cards going out. Also, one year warranty for these seems too low in my opinion if they dont have a great reputation for lasting. Is this still the case? Has there been any production changes at least for the wifi cards? Amazon has 12% of the reviews at 1 star currently on the play5s. I'd like to get a pair of them, but I'm not prepared to gamble a G for speakers. Thanks!
There are many of us who use play 5's exclusively (or other play products) for home theatre setups. Can you include the Speech enhancement/Night Sound in a software update for everyone else?
Why do my Sonos products constantly try to update their time EVERY single second.

My Sonos Play 1 serial number 7828CAA9FD4C3 has been stolen from my premises last week. Is it possible to track it and block it? Many thanks in advance
Hi all, I noticed a huge difference of minimum volume on my beam if I play music or watch tv. The minimum volume of the tv is great, every increments (1, 2, 3, 4, ...) allow to finely adjust the volume at low level. However, when I play music through Apple Music the minimum volume is already too loud at increment 1. Is there a way to have the same volume level from tv and music and if possible based on the tv volume? Big issue for me because I cannot listen music on the morning when my room is fully quite.
Hi I have a system with 2 x beams 1 x playbar 2x Sonos speakers 1 x Sonos Amp running 2 ceiling speakers. I also use a Bridge My broadband is good with speeds of circa 30 gigs If I am playing music from 1or 2 speakers in a group the system seems to work fine but when I have all the speakers on in 1 group it starts cutting out, stopping & skipping I did a bit of reading and twice tried the trick of switching everything off including the router & switching router back on followed by each speaker individually but it made no difference. Diagnostic which was taken a minute after a skipping episode is 763375353 Regards
Currently running playbase, bridge, sub, play 1's for surround and have play 5 as room supplemental if needed. The base and bridge are direct wired into my Netgear Orbi router. Speakers are updated and current as of 03-25-2019. During all modes of playback the surrounds are clipping, it is incredibly annoying. I submitted diagnostics several minutes after the most current episode (conf code 332641865). Appreciate help if able.
So I just purchased two One's at best buy (White and Black). The black one said gen 2 which led to some confusion when I asked if I could also get a gen 2 for the white. I can't find any information about the gen 2's, except they are available on preorder at Amazon. I haven't opened the boxes yet to determine the difference. There is no information on the Sonos site about the gen 2 yet. Does anyone have any more information on what the differences are?
Hi all. I have sonos amps and wired speakers throughout my home but would like more bass in my great room. Can this Klipsch Reference R-10SWi be added to the newer sonos amp wirelessly? I have 4 wired speakers in my ceiling wired to the sonos amp and want to add a cost-effective sub. If this Klipsch won't work, what will besides Sonos subs? Does the sonos amp provide enough power for my 4 speakers and a sub?
I recently purchased a Play:1 for my kitchen. I am able to connect to and select Pandora and other sources with (2) different iPhone 5s's and a iPad Mini all running iOS 7.0.4, however the actual iPhone or iPad do not show up as sources in the list of music sources. The Sonos bridge is connected to an Airport Extreme and I've confirmed that I'm able to connect to the Play:1 on both the 5GHz and 2.4GHz frequency bands. I am very frustrated because i can't stream anything other than internet radio and really wanted to be able to stream podcasts.
I know this has been mentioned before, but thought I'd chime in as another user who would appreciate a Sonos portable speaker solution. I'll quickly summarize my use case, some workaround/aftermarket solutions, and what a Sonos solution could look like. Use Case - Our medium size house on a small lot has a front yard and porch, back yard and porch, and narrow side yard with garden and shed, all places we spend time either relaxing or working or both. The porches have electricity, but not where I would mount or place a speaker, so adding Sonos speakers there requires a 15'-20' extension cord for a temporary solution or electrical work for a permanent install (which would then be an opportunity for theft). The side yard/garden/shed has no electricity and requires a 50'+ extension cord to get power to. A key point is all of these locations have WiFi coverage from the network my other Sonos speakers are on. Workarounds - I own a number of Bluetooth speakers that I usually use in thes
I did a little analysis of the Sonos device range and the graph makes it clear that the newer devices, that support Alexa and AirPlay, need a lot more memory/storage (32x more in fact) than the early players. Also makes the reasons behind the 65,000 track limit pretty obvious.
Hi! In documentation on sonos I read that to use One over WIFI I need Sonos bridge. And in some revues on Sonos Controller App people wrote that in actual version thay can't connect One to the existing WiFi network and it works only wired. If I have router Netgear wndrmacv2 with my WiFi network 2.4 G "W.net", will One be connected to it withuot Sonos Bridge?
Your confirmation number is: 1648661356. Keeps cutting out. I’ve changed channels and uncompressed/ compressed etc. Reset and moved boost.... getting annoying as a lot of equipment.... regards
Desperate to get one over here. Please share with me if you received one 🙂 🙂
Will Sonos use this new hardware or do you guys make your own? QCS400 SoC series. And if so, which product will you implement it in? You probably won't answer that Cuz that would spoil future announcements I believe? Hopefully I get somewhat of an answer. https://www.qualcomm.com/news/releases/2019/03/19/qualcomm-launches-new-ai-enabled-highly-integrated-socs-and-dedicated-smart
c'mon sonos - please let us know when the outdoor speaker will be available. it would be an industry leader and i am holding off, as well as many others, until it's release. thanks guys and keep up the great work.
I have problems with my Sonos speakers. They are wirelessly connected to Google WiFi and have been working ok for 1,5 years. Lately I have daily black outs on the sound.... Can anyone tell me if they are both 2,4 Ghz and 5,1 Ghz compatible? I have two Play 3 and one Play 5 - and both are the old discontinued models. They are from 2012.
Sonos devices on average consume about 5 watts each if idle. Having 5 sonos devices around this means 25 watts on average idle consumption. Over a year this is about (25x24hx365) 219 kwh. In Germany where 1 kwh is about 0,30 Euro Cent this then means about 70 Euro (about 100$) just to maintain an idle system. This is just too much and could easily be reduced. Looking at the environmental aspect this gets even more critical: There are around 2.5 million Sonos devices around. This adds up to 110,000,000 kwh or 110 million kwh.
When will SONOS introduce outdoor speakers?
Is there a problem with the Sonos Network. My surround speakers have dropped off my system which I cannot reconnect and the left surround in my bedroom has dropped off and also refuses to be added. Any ideas guys. This is driving me nuts. Even with a retune and true play they still don’t work!!??????
I'm planning to pair 2 Play:5s for stereo playback. The document "Selecting a location for your Sonos speakers" includes this about vertical vs. horizontal orientation: "While positioning the speaker in vertical orientation may be necessary for certain spaces, it should be noted that there is no stereo playback in this orientation. The speaker will play in mono." Why is stereo playback not possible with a vertical orientation?
Hey everybody. If you got the sub I would like to hear your opinion. I just got the Sonos Sub, and for music it is perfect. First I would say that im not an bass-fanatic. So its not because I would like everything to shake. My livingroom setup is a Beam + Sub. I have runned Trueplay, and thats not the problem. My problem is when I hear music the sub-level is perfect around 60-65% on the adjustment bar. But when im seeing an action movie, I barely notice the sub at that level. I have to push the sub-level to 80-90% on the adjustmentbar. I tryed Netflix, HBO and other streamingservices on my Apple TV 4, and I also tryed the apps on my Samsung smart tv. No difference. I checked sound settings and everything. Is it really true that I shall re-adjust the sub-level everytime I switch between music and movies? Do you got the same problem?
