Folks, it’s been a long while since I've been in here. I apologize for the redundancy if there is one...I got burned. I have 4 pairs of play3s and play5 (1gen). I can’t handshake from phone to them? (NO airplay2!). I can’t send a podcast that I have been listening to in the car to the SONOS system when I got home. This greatly upset me. I felt that SONOS did very little to support older products. So, on that note I probably will never purchase another SONO product unless there is someway to advance my system. I would not be surprised if this limited technology behavior continues. On a new note, the Mini Homepod by Apple looks great. Affordable and Scaleable, I want one. It integrates significantly better than SONOs (unless someone can share how I can get my phone podcast to stream to the play3’s. Maybe someone put a hack together and it’s up on GitHub? let me know. Then, theres the SONOS app. it’s gotten clunkier over time. When I do a search for music, Amazon services come up fir
I purchased a new Sonos move and one online for Christmas. They arrived after New Years- no issue. However it will play but it won’t charge. It says 0% charge all the time but in the charger it will turn on and play. Do I need to send it back?
Hi, is it possible to use two sonos fives in stereo connected together through an Ethernet cable while not being connected to a router(no router network available outside somewhere for example). And with the audio signal going through the line in on one of the speakers. Is this possible?
Hi everyone Don't know if you can help. I watch a lot of you tube and tv (itv, netflix, prime etc) through my samsung tablet. How do i watch this on my tablet but get the audio out of my new sonos one 2nd gen? Via samsung "smart things' on my tablet i can choose the audio output to play through my google speakers and various blue tooth connected devices (headphones etc) but ill be blown if i can get it out my sonos?? Please help xx
I have a number of Sonos products connected on a strong WiFi network around my house. One of my Sonos Ones recently started to suffer from a very loud crackling/static noise during music playback. It happens more on moderately bass heavy tracks but is irritatingly intermittent. I have tried moving the unit between rooms but it presents the same wherever it is located. I have seen a few threads where others experience similar faults but they mostly seem to have some sort of connection with a Playbar - mine does not - it is effectively a standalone speaker. Can someone please help? Many thanks
Hey there,i am trying to link up my new LG HU80KSW Presto projector with my existing Sonos system. There is no soundbar in my system, i have a series of Play 5 speakers. Is it possible to hook up the sound to the system? Thanks for the help, Dominik
Santa was extra good to us and we now have 2 new Move speakers to add to our current Sonos network. My question is can 2 different Move speakers, connected to the same network, play different music at the same time, i.e., my wife play rock on her Move in the kitchen while I play country on my Move out in the garage? How do we set that up? Is it as simple as just giving the speakers each a different name?
I have a great set up with 2 Sonos moves that can sync with my tv sound bar in the man cave , but I have just added an 2016 Samsung outside in the garden I would love to find a way to connect wirelessly from the older tv to the moves - would it be through an Apple TV or a WiFi or bluetooth transmitter?
I want to connect 2 sonos move speakers to a smart tv wirelessly in my kitchen only for watching soccer.I have a sonos beam in an ajoining room . I then want to be able to pair the beam with the 2 move speakers to play music throughout kitchen and ajoining room. I know i can do this so the question i have is really can I connect the two sonos move speakers wirelessly to smart tv in kitchen
I recently moved to an area where my internet service is fast, but with a spotty connection due to the way the infrastructure was built and the environmental factors in my area. None of my existing Sonos speakers are bluetooth enabled so when the internet goes down, so does my Sonos system because it can’t connect to my streaming services and I don’t have a way to manually connect a phone or other audio storage device. I have 6 play One’s and 2 sound bars, none of which have an input jack. If I purchase one of the new bluetooth enabled Sonos speakers will I be able to use that as the input to continue using my entire existing Sonos system?
Hey, about 2 years ago i bought a Play 5 gen 2 with the thoughts that i would some day buy one more to pair them together. Now a bought a Sub gen 3, a playbar and a Sonos Five.Since sonos said the Play 5 and the Sonos Five were almost identical i thought it was obvious that they would pair and be usable together for a surround setup. I cant get them to pair, do i really need to buy another Sonos Five to finish my surround setup? I was so hyped by my purchase but this turned me off so much
I just adding a couple of Sonos 5s to my collection. A couple of questions; Do the 5s have to be vertical to work in a stereo pair mode or can they also work horizontally? Pro's and cons for vertical/horizontal.Since I also have ARC, 2 ONE SLs & Gen 3 Sub I guess I also have the option to use the 5s as surround rears but I think in my room that might be a little too much.Appreciate your feedback, Regards, Ivan
Good Day,I have a large Sonos system with one sub already paired with a Play 5. I do not have, nor want, any of the Sonos playbars as I have a nice wired surround sound system. My question is, can I pair a second sub to another set of Sonos Fives in the same system? So in other words, I am looking to get the deep bass on both sides of a large room. I would be pairing the second sub with another set of speakers in the same overall house. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you..
HiI’d like to connect a CD player to my Sonos ecosystem. I have one Play 5, two Play 3, and two Play 1. I already have a turntable plugged into the Play 5 as a line in. I’ve seen other suggestions that I should rip all of my CDs as the solution, but I don’t want to do that. I actually like the CD disc format and related cases with cover art. Is there any way the Play 5 can share both the turntable and CD player with some sort of “line in splitter” or do I need something else for just the CD player - for example a Connect or something else? I think I read Connect may be discontinued(?), but did it ever work for this purpose? Thanks.
I have had Sonos for a couple of years had issues with it off and on recently i added a beam and sub to my 2 play 1 in my living room and now I have nothing but problems. Most of the time the beam won’t show up but when it finally does one of the other speakers or sub won’t show up. I have tried everything (reboot router remove all speakers and add them again etc.) to get it working, I bought a boost to see if that would help but it did nothing. What is wrong with these why don’t they work I am ready to go out and buy a different brand that works.
I added a second Sonos Five. Want to pair it up with my other Five for use on my Turntable. Is there a best way to orientate the speakers (vertically or horizontally) and do I Trueplay after pairing or before pairing?
Just purchased a Sonos Move. First day was able to power it up and connect to the WIFI system and it worked well. Now it appears that it will not power up and looks like it is not connected to the Sonos system.
Occasionally my Move will stop playing in the middle of a local playlist. The screen below pops up and suggests some things to try. Before following step 1, to unplug your router which will disrupt your entire network, just power your Move OFF and ON.That simple step works for me.
Hi Just bought a sonos Move for an xmas present and although it worked once when removed from the box it has now stopped and will only show white light flashing constantly, i have tried the reset several times remove from base, press power button for around 30 seconds and it powers down, sit back on base and its back to flashing lightHave tried holding the link button when placed back on base and still the same flashing white light!it just reverts back to flashing light when placed back on base and wont link with anything.have turned off the wifi router and reset that, i have also moved the Move right net to the router still no change.tried leaving it for hours no change!advice please.RegardsMark
Hi - I have an iPhone 11 which I use to play iTunes on a Sonos Move via bluetooth - it keep dropping the songs & reconnecting - any idea why? I do not have this problem with my iphone 6S.
Just bought a Sonos Move to replace a One, and one of the key uses is to be able to play music quietly at night. Unfortunately, the Move seems to bottom out at “quite loud". Even after disabling Loudness and setting both Bass and Treble EQ to -10, it's still far too loud. Adjusting the max volume just makes the first few volume increments silent - it still starts making noise at the same volume. Tested initially via the Sonos app, but the same issue is present playing across Bluetooth from Spotify on a phone The speaker sounds great when I want loud music, but I need it to play quietly at night! Can anyone help Thanks David
Our sonos move says it is playing something from spotify but nothing plays. It was fine yesterday at the start but stopped working properly when we asked to change artists. I tried resetting the speaker but that didn’t resolve the issue. I noticed others have had the same problem. Please help.
Naive question; my apologies. But: if two Ones or Symfonisks were set-up as the rear speakers in a Sonos surround system, how would they function when playing simple stereo content? Would they automatically switch-over to being a stereo pair? (And thus play the stereo signal in tandem with my Beam sound bar)? Or do they effectively get switched-off when you’re not playing streams that have specific surround-sound content? (Or: is this a naive question, in the sense that most content has some bare minimum of a surround signal?). Many thanks..
Having upgraded my system over the past 12 months, I am left with 3no ZP120 connect amps, 1no Zoneplayer S5, 1no Zoneplayer ZP90, 1no Play 3, a brand new unused Bridge, a CR200 controller and 2 pairs of speakers all of which are in good condition, complete with leads and instruction books etc which it seems wrong to condemn to landfillCan anyone confirm that if I sell these on ebay (or similar) a potential purchaser would be able to install and make them work? Or are they only of use to somebody who already has a Sonos system
Hello!Play 1 about 5 years old never had issues until new broadband. Now after factory reset blinks orange, then solid orange then back to white. Uninstalled, reinstalled app etc as per other threads. Any ideas please?! thank you :-)
