Originally our house WiFi had both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands using same SID, but we had too many issues with devices using the slower band, so have separated the bands with the 2.4 GHz band retaining the original SID and the 5 GHz band using a different SID. Now we want to move our two Sonos systems over to the 5 GHz band...but don’t see a way to just change it.Please tell me we don’t have to reset the entire system to change to a different WiFi SID?Thanks!
Hello everyone !I’m an owner of a sonos move and since the beginning I have my device which comes out of sleep by tself, at the beginning I thought that it was only when someone in the house open the Sonos app but I realized that even in the bluetooth mode it comes out of sleep during the night.Do some of you have the same issue ? Thankyou for you anwers, bye !
Do Trueplay settings reside on the iPhone itself via S2, or in the speaker itself? Reason for asking is if I set Trueplay up through one iphone but actually use another when listening.
If you unplug one or both Sonos 5’s in a stereo pair or loose power, do you have to redo Trueplay?
Can I play what I am listening to on the Arc and on the Roam simultaneously?
I’m selling my Sonos Play 5 Gen 1. What do I need to do in order for the new buyer to use it?
Hi everyone,I have one Sonos1 (Left) paired with a 1 SL (Right). Am I able to add another 1 SL to this set up as a right channel for a 3 speaker set up or does it have to be done in pairs? Thanks
So it looks like actual Roam units are now available and have been sent to reviewers:https://www.theverge.com/22368487/sonos-roam-bluetooth-speaker-review-featureshttps://www.engadget.com/sonos-roam-review-130039811.htmlGenerally positive reviews.Maybe preorders will ship soon since they clearly got a bunch from the factory.
There are a few things which need to be added to this app immediately (read on for my questions): First, different model speakers need to be able to be grouped in the same room. Sonos apparently claims that this is to prevent sound quality issues. We have some rooms with multiple of the same speaker and some rooms with multiple of different speakers and the sound quality difference that I can discern is precisely zero. Context - we have on the third floor a large room multiple play1 speakers. To stream directly to that room, I added a sonos one (which you have to do, because the system won’t allow you to stream directly to a play1). To my utter annoyance, you can’t pair these two different types of speakers to work together. So is it because of sound quality issues or just because sonos hasn’t bothered? If it is because of some imperceptible phantom drop in sound quality, allow me to confirm after exactly no market research that no one cares about that s***. Second, there needs t
Hi, I have a Sonos Move. I’ve noticed when I turn the volume up to 58% The low-end cuts out completely and it only plays through its tweeter.. it also will randomly make sounds like it’s clipping about 55% as well.. has anyone experienced problems like this with their move, and do you know of a fix?
Hi,Trying to get help with adding Sonos one to the app. I have already added arc + sub + Sonos on Sl- but I’m trying to add my second one Sl and keep giving me the message “your Sonos one Sl has been added, but may not appear on the system tab, if so unplug the power cord and plug it back in to finish setup from the system tab” I’ve disconnected and reconnected, reset it at least 5 times, even tried to connect using a hard wire to the router (even though the actual router is only 15 cm) just in case it helps - but for what ever reason it doesn’t appear on the Sonos app (with the hope of getting the surround sound sorted). I submitted diagnostic (no 1745441989). now, just as I was writing this it did recognise this eventually but now now when I go to set up the surround sound the error message “there was an problem adding your surrounds. Cheack your network connection and make sure your products are powered on” which I can confirm they are all working individually on the network. Again
Hi - I have got a Sonos Move and want to connect a SONY PS-LX310BT bluethooth turntable to it. When I put both into pairing mode nothing happens. The turntable doesn't automatically connect and has no screen to make it happen. Anyone have experience of this? Or been able to make them happen. Thanks so much!
Move - no blue light will work as it used too so no pairing
I have two Sonos One speakers. One in the office and the other in living room. When I turn on a Sonos station (e.g., Sirius XM) with the Sonos app, I get sound from the living room speaker but not the office speaker. I then have to tweak the WiFi settings to get a connection where the office speaker has sound. I have to do this every time I start up the Sonos speakers and it doesn’t matter which station I am trying to connect to through the Sonos app. It gets a little tiresome! If I start up a station using the station’s own app such as the Sirius XM app (not the Sonos app), then when I connect the Sonos speakers they both have sound. Why do I have to keep tweaking the WiFi settings to get sound from the office speaker when using the Sonos app?
Hi, Bought an Arc speaker together with Sub Gen 3, everything are connected except the sub have no sound. Already follow all the instructions from the previous comment yet not solving the problem. Kindly advise the next step. Thank you.
Is is possible (if so, how) to use my gen 1 Play 5 on Sonos 2 thru Sonos Connect (not amp), just as one would use a regular speaker?
Hi everyone.I have recently started to replace my old Denon amp and floor standing speakers with Sonos. Bought 2 Sonos Fives and configured them as stereo pair and it has been working well, better than the floor standing speakers. My intention is to retire these speakers and only use Fives. Next I wanted to connect my Sony tv to Sonos and also use existing non Sonos sub (Ken Kreisel) so I bought Sonos Amp to connect the sub and TV through HDMI. However I realised during the set up that I can’t add Sonos speakers as front stereo. I understand Amp is supposed to help with the traditional speaker set up but it wasn’t obvious anywhere I won’t be able to add the Fives as a front pair or even to the same room. The latter could have solved some part of the issue I am facing. As a workaround I have done the following: TV is connected to Amp through HDMI. Amp is configured to connect to floor standing speakers but I have left them disconnected. TV headphone out is connected to line in of the F
I have two separate houses with Sonos. Primary residence is running S2 with a bunch of Play:Ones. House we share with extended family is running S1 with a gen one Connect, a ZP-90, and a fairly recently added single Play:One. I'm thinking I might get more good out of this Play:One at my primary house for now. So, I'm looking to transfer from one system to another but not off my account.Do a factory reset of this Play:One and add it to my S2 system at home? Thanks, all.
Hi...is there a visual way to determine a Gen 2 Connect & Amp from a Gen 1? I have heard that the Gen2 has the Pause/Play button on the front rather than the Mute button, but have been unable to verify this….I am looking to buy some Gen2 Connects.
Hi all,I have bought PLay 3 to use with my PC mainly for video calls and Youtube. Seems like it cannot be used with Youtube that I play a song directly I have to use the app which is pretty useless and old.No idea what to do seems like I have wasted my money.
Hello,I would like to control the volume levels of my two Sonos One SL separately although they are paired. To be more precise, I need one of the Sonos to be louder than the other one (they are placed in 2 different rooms, one needs low level and the one needs a higher volume level). Is this possible ? Currently when I adjust the volume locally on one of the Sonos, it adjusts it on the other one too. Thanks for your help !
I have read several reviews on the Move that Sonos will issue a firmware update that will allow the Move to perform True Play tuning via Bluetooth. Does anyone have knowledge of this update or know if it has already been issued? Thanks in advance for any answers
Hi, I have the sonos move and in my house I have 3 wifi. Every time i change location i have to reconnect my sonos to the wifi and writing again the password. what is the solution that sonos can change wifi by himself? thanks
Hello My setup in my livingroom is two play-1 and a playbar which is all connetcted to my tv.. I would like to play Music from YouTube via AirPlay directly to this system.. i know that this is not possible but if I add two one sl as frontspeakers - and then group it all together - will this then work as one unit and play whatever I want to play through AirPlay? thanks
That’s it. I give up. I didn’t spend over $1,200 on two speakers to have them suddenly (and randomly) decide to stop working; especially when they used to perform perfectly from my iPhone and Macs. Funny how every few weeks the mandatory obsolescence updates have happened to coincide with the frequency with which my Five series “speakers” have puttered out - to the point where now they are the two most expensive bricks in my home.Total garbage, Sonos. Total. Neither I nor anyone else I know will ever purchase a product of yours again. And for all the haters who want me to start tinkering with this or tottering with that - I already have. Plus, I shouldn’t have to waste hours of my time repeatedly changing a myriad of settings on things that USED TO WORK. So stow your derision. These threads are full of folks like me who aren’t falling for this obvious and awful sales scam.
