Dear All / Sonos support, I am trying to identify the RMS power ratings for a Play1, Play5 v1 and Playbar. Anyone having the information at hand, thanks for sharing. Cheers
Are there any plans to have a white grill for the Gen 2 Play 5's?
I would really like an option to get true 5.1 surround sound using 4x PLAY speakers, the PLAYBAR and the SUB. I have a decent sized lounge room and I've had a listen to the PLAYBAR + 2x PLAY:1 speakers + SUB at a mate's house and I'm disappointed at the soundstage across the front. Whilst you get an idea of stereo sound from the PLAYBAR (and the PLAY:1s at the rear do a great job) you can still hear that all the sound from the front three speakers is really coming from one spot in the middle. I currently have a very decent 5.1 system with 2x floor standing speakers for Front L & R, a matching speaker for the Centre and 2x smaller floor standing speakers for Rear L & R as well as a sub. These speakers, particularly across the front, deliver really good stereo imaging and a very wide soundstage. I want to reduce the clutter and cables though and the idea of replacing this with some Sonos kit is very appealing. I'd love to be able to hook up 2x PLAY:3 speakers + the PLAYB
I recently requested a returns authorisation under the 100 day policy, and so far i have not received anything. I had an email confirming it had been accepted and i was going to hear from you shortly with a shipping label to return the product which i have not had. Could someone look into this please.
I've seen some other posts here about the Play 5 no longer turning on and I'm in the same situation now. The light doesn't turn on and the unit won't respond, even when attempting a factory reset. It seems like a common fault, judging by a quick Google search. So I checked the paperwork and found that I bought it 2 years and 6 months ago (almost to the day) which means the warranty expired 6 months ago. In that time, I've bought two Play 1s and I've been considering a Playbar but after speaking to Sonos Support, I'm seriously considering selling them all and buying a different system! So I rang support and was told in no uncertain terms that I'd have to pay for a replacement, even though this seemed like a common fault according to this forum and others. £99 for a replacement! Some of the other posts have mentioned that their units were faulty outside the warranty but they had replacements sent for free! Anybody know why others have been looked after in this way but I have to fork o
Does AirPlay come to all Play:5 speakers, or is it restricted to the newest? After the «facelift» the speaker had sone years ago?
I have a play 5 (Gen 2), when I install Spotify in my iPhone 6, I found play 5 in the airplay devices list.
I'm looking to integrate.. Hopefully wireless headphones with Sonos.. I'm leaning towards Beats.. Any success with setup and or those headphones or any other headphones ? Thank you Matt
I want to create stereo with left and right channels. How do I choose between (2) Play 1s or (2) Play 3s? My room is 15 x 20 with and adjoining open kitchen connected to the room.
How do I turn off all my sonos appliances?
I'd like to see room groups part of the alarm setting process so my morning alarm plays my favorite radio station in the assigned rooms. In the evening I'll change room assignment and if I forget to set it back the next morning's alarm will not be how I like it. Thanks, I love my Sonos!
At present, I have two options: 1. Select a single track to play. 2. Select all tracks to play, starting with the first. What I want to be able to do is find a point in a playlist, eg. halfway through / from 3 months ago / the bit where I added loads of Laura Mvula tracks / whatever, and play from that point. This is normal in most playback systems but, unless I'm very much mistaken, not possible in Sonos. Am I being thick, or can we have an update please? Thanks, Manda
Just heard about this https://sonos-welcome.com/gb/en/pages/cashback/home Has anyone received a code for this ? How do I get one ?
Bought a Sonos Play 1 today, awesome except that when playing Spotify through the Sonos app it only plays a little bit of the song then stops. If I play a song through my iPhone or put a radio station on it plays without a problem. Spotify songs only play a small portion then stops....?
Can anyone confirm whether you will need a Sonos One or a Sonos Play 1 to be able to play content from Apple products using Airplay? I know that Playbase and Play 5 will support it, but don’t have either of them. I currently have a Playbar, a Sub, and 6 Play 1’s, (in a 5.1 configuration, a Stereo Pair and 2 seperate rooms with a single Play 1 in). I want to add one more speaker, would prefer a Play 1 as I have absolutely no interest in voice control, but would buy a Sonos One if that is the Only way to add Airplay to my system. Thank you in anticipation.
I would like to see an additional option in advanced settings to "Prevent Updates". This would be used by people who have a significant investment in older controllers or some other reason not to use the latest firmware and want to prevent an accidental upgrade. The key difference for this setting from just unchecking the "Automatically check for updates" box are as follows: - The new option will remove the "Update Now" button from showing on any controller. - The new option will cause zone players or controllers that may have required repair to take on the current system firmware revision when added back to the system rather than forcing an update to the latest firmware version. (Note this is not the same as rolling back firmware which Sonos says it will not support) -The new option will block any third party app or controller from initiating an update unless you go into advanced options and explicitly turn off the "Prevent Updates" flag.
I have a pair of old Play:1. I would like to spray paint the grill white - with the same color as the speaker. What is the color code for the white color ?
Can i make a stereo pair with a Sonos play 1 and Sonos play 3. I already have a play 1 mounted in a room and want to buy another Sonos but as apposed to getting another play 1 I think a play 3 would be better but only if I can create a stereo pair with them, I know you can't pair a 5 & a 3 but can you pair a 3 & a 1 ???
I want to uninstall my sonos app in my android to be able to download a sonos app in US play store using VPN for me to be able to get a version of sonos app where voice service for alexa can be set up. I have been reading the tropic of music skipping and my system also does its fair share of skipping. Seems like in the last year is when the problem started popping up, most likely after a software update. I have had my speakers over 6 year and never once did the problems like this pop up. When I look at the feed back, its never a Sonos software problem! (Its either a wifi or electrical interference problem) My music skips so I did the following 1, Played music only from my music library (iPad and iMac) skips 2, Played music from Pandora skips 3, Played music from Pandora with one speaker five feet from router skips 4, Change speakers and placed the other one five feet from router skips 5, Changed channels on my system skips 6, Changed channel on my wifi skips More people would be here if they listened and took notice.
When I am listening to Pandora or Songza the song will cut off randomly in the middle and jump to the next track. This has happened with my iTunes library as well, but far less frequently. Biggest problem is Pandora. Diagnostic confirmaton # is 3437289. Thanks for your help.
Can Sonos speakers connect to a Google home mini (after Google assistant is supported) like they can with other sonos speakers? For example, the way sonos speakers can play the same music in separate rooms on multiple sonos speakers, can he same be done with a sonos speaker and a Google home mini?
I have a old Play 3 that is connected with a Bridge. One month ago I bought an other Play3. This one didnt need a bridge at all. Do you know what the difference is between the old ones and the new ones. Is it a hardware change or is it a software change? If its a software change, is it enough with an normal update?
I was wondering if there's an easy way to show off some of my Sonos system to a family member in THEIR home. I'd love to be able to take a couple of my Play 1's to my family Xmas for the day, next month. I actually tried to use one of my Play 1's for a neighborhood Halloween party at my next door neighbor's house two weeks ago. I thought I could just connect to my neighbor's WIFI network, and even installed the Sonos app on his phone, but it wasn't worth the trouble in terms of being asked to set up a new account, etc... Has anyone else done this?
I recently purchased a bunch of Sonos speakers. For my living room I ended up using a configuration of 2 Play 5 gen 2. For the dining room I'm using 2 x One. When listening to the Play 5s, I'm getting the impression that the sound signature is sort of muffled. The speakers I used previously was a set of Genelec 8020. I find that the sound character of the Play 5s are much more colored. It helps a lot when I up the Treble, but I really prefer not meddling with EQ-settings. Listening to the Ones, I don't get the same impression of color in the sound. Have anyone else experienced something similar?
