I have been waiting for this feature for a long time, and now that it's finally here, it feels underwhelming. It only works about half of the time, other times I need to scrub the song to get it to start lossless, and sometimes the music just cuts off and playing the next song does nothing, it only plays silence. I have to choose a different album or playlist to get it to play music again.Has anyone else experienced this?
Hi all, we are doing an extension on our home and remoddeling the ground floor, this gives me opportunity to orchestrate a decent Sonos set up.I have a few questions, mainly around the Amp.I am looking to use the Amp in the lounge, have this conneced to my vinyl player as well as 2x B&W bookshelf speakers. We are not big TV watchers, so not really letting that factor in the layout - but in the future i think even connecting the 2x Era 100s would suffice.1. Is there much benefit to having the 2x Era 100s in there as well as the B&W speakers? Is it overkill for that space?2. Can i use the Amp and vinyl player to have that music in the other rooms via the Era 300s as per the image. If so, can these speakers have the same music at different volumes?3. Would a single 5 in the playroom and a single 5 in the kitchen diner suffice? Is 3x300 overkill? 4. Can i still “zone” these speakers to all play seperate things. I.e Kitchen diner 300s playing Music A, the playroom 300 playing Musi
Why do you call a product ROAM if I can’t leave the house with it?!App needs to be updated!!I move around a lot and bought the Roam speaker so that I could take all the great features of the Sonos system I have at home on the road with me. This whole factory reset procedure just because I’m on a hotel WiFi ,a network I can’t change the SSID of, is completely ridiculous. I own Bluetooth speakers that will not play music while I’m doing other things on my phone that cost 1/3 or less than this.
What set up do I need to qualify for lossless equipment wise. I have arc, play3 & sub gen2. I just wondered if there were any minimum or preferred requirements. Someone seemed to think that his wasn’t compatible as he only had a gen2 sub. I wasn’t aware that any subs were incompatible with anything.
I was wondering since butt kicker released a wireless system Would it work with my surround sound sonos system I have the arc and 2 sonos five's and 2 subs This would be really awesome if this could work Also can't wait to get my hands on optima 2 I hope they're coming really soon true Atmos is what sonos needs
Hi, since I am using only one Era 300 to watch movies pointing from the back, the audio channels are inverted, sounds from the right sapper from the left and vice-versa.Is there a setting to switch this from the app or any other place?Thank you very much in advance
Is the Roam 2 battery replaceable?Roam 1 battery was a shocker lasting 18 to 2 yrs only.
Since the macos App will apparently be retired, I’m trying to get used to the web app.I need to log in almost every time I visit https://play.sonos.com, which is an issue in and of itself, but the biggest problem is that every time I log in, it shows an Internal Server Error, and the URL points at a playlist. I’m not happy about losing a native app, but I’d hope the errors in the web app can be sorted out.
I just bought a Sub Gen 3 and want to connect with my existing Move as well as with my 3 Era 100 but I cannot add it to the group I created? How does that work?
I have six amps and a port, each time I deselect an amp it will not stay deselected. Why is this?
Hi, all my Shows/Podcasts just show as no longer available in the new iOS app. I presume they came with TuneIn. My TuneIn stations are playing, but perhaps through Sonos stations (not sure how that all works). I tried reauthorizing TuneIn under Podcasts, but it just hangs. This is not necessarily a Talk Sonos product, so I will repost in the correct spot (now that I know).Well, I can’t move the post, and I can’t repost in just the regular Controller and Music Services area. So, I’ll leave here.Moderator edit: Combined posts, topic now in Controller and Music Services section.
Is there a wireless speaker that will allow me to hear TV programs audio?
I have a 9-unit Sonos system (Connects and ZP100s) running as S1.My control tablets are on 6.0.1, running the app v10.3 (build 51166240). Seem to remember it was the last version my tablets could run.If I update the system :What is the minimum Android version that latest S1 app need to work ? (ie will I need new tablet controllers ?) What Samba (SMB) version does it use to hook up to network (NAS) filestores ? - My NAS has been forced to stay on SMB 1 (deprecated) to communicate with the app I’m running – yes, I’m aware of the security risk. Rather move to a secure SMB version. Yes, I’ve seen about the Raspberry Pi workaround, but that opens a whole new rabbit hole for me.
My Ray is recognised by my TV but the internal speakers will not turn off. I have tried to do what has been mentioned on other feeds but I have no idea what to do. Help! I’m not very techno though. 🤗
After spending thousands of dollars on Sonos products they’ve now released an “update” that makes all of it mostly unusable. They added no features, they improved no functions, all they did was incorporate advertising. Now I have to scroll through crap adds on my phone before I can try to play music on the speakers I paid stupid amounts of money for. That is, if I can even get it to work given the app fails to work and/or outright crashes most of the time. And on top of that, I’m now getting relentless emails, text messages, and popups advertising their headphones. As if I’d ever give them another dime. Learn from my mistake - don’t buy app connected or controlled hi-fi gear. This is what happens, even if the company has been trustworthy in the past.
I've read in this forum that everyone appears to be having major problems with the current version of the app. Unfortunately, I have the same issues; lost playlists, lost access to radio stations (doesn't like Radioplayer, My Tuner etc) . I've tried contacting them but the Chatbot just takes you round in circles. Is there an email address to try? Or anyway to downgrade the app? Thanks
Has anyone figure out how to get the Symfonisk speakers set up on an existing Sonos system? I have a picture frame setup with a mini subwoofer, and I have been trying to add a second speaker frame to make it stereo, but I have not had positive experience with it. Call Sonos a few time (super waste of time), and I even exchange the speaker for a new one in IKEA…. So, the question is what else can I do to get this set up.SONOS if you read this, please send an update for the app, currently it sucks to help set up a speaker, and the Ethernet cable won’t take you to the update part (super weird), even tho the speaker is directly connected to the router. Thanks!
I haven’t even checked other posts and them likely seeing to the choir here, but I’m at least vaguely amused by the new Sonos app that is more difficult to navigate through and has the same exact issues as the previous app. Now they’re just harder or impossible to get to. For example, well, this might be a new issue, the app continually tells me that it is playing in the living room, even when I select other rooms. Let me change. So, that’s cool. I just received my Era 300 speakers. I’m kinda bummed because the center driver is not in use when watching non-Dolby atmos content. Dialogue totally fades to the other surrounding drivers. It throws off the sound. I had the Sonos ones prior to this… for the price point i feel this speaker should be multifunctional and the front driver should still be utilized when watching NON-Dolby almost content. I love music and would have loved to experience the 300’s fully functional. 😶
I just downloaded the new v80 Sonos S2 app and first impression is not too good. Hope they change this soon. This is what is foundThe app gives an error when trying to play a radiostation on MyTuner Radio service in the Recently played section. Some contact card are so big that when you want to swipe down to close it, I open the Homescreen/Lockscreen of my iPhone. When I want to play a radio station from the Favorites section an additional unnecessary card is opened with only a Play button. Why not start playing without opening this screen? The favorites are now mixed. So Spotify and RadioStation favorites are in one list. That is annoying. The list of favorites is not sorted in any way neither can they be ordered according to my favorites. The room for the name of the system on top of the Home Screen is very limited and so, it is always abbreviated with dots. What is your annoyance?
Does the new ace headphones need blue tooth from the tv to work or will it work through my arc system
I want to set up a home surround system with Sonos speakers. My preference is to use four in ceiling speakers and one Beam. Will this do for a good setup? My preference is to primarily use in ceiling speakers for this purpose.
Who could have possibly thought it was a good idea to sign off on this new app
Hello, I know there are a lot of similar discussion, but I did’t find my solution now. Maybe it’s just to individual, but let’s give it a try.For years I have my two Sonos Play 5 (1st Gen) in the living room, one Play 1 in the kitchen and another Play 1 in the bedroom. For now I like to upgrade my living room. Mostly listen to music => Spotify, mainly Rap & Pop, therefore the Play 5 as a stereo pair are perfect. But I like to add a Soundbar for a little home theater. Beam Gen2 in mind. Ratio Music to Movie is about 70:30 Room is around 40 square meter. Now my question: Which would be the best solution for listen to music in a good stereo quality but still have the option to enjoy movies with Dolby Atmos?Option 1: Two Era 300 and Beam 2 Option 2: Two Era 100, Sub Mini, Beam 2 Option 3: Open for suggestions in ± same BudgetWhat do you think?
I am wondering which would be better for listening to music - mostly vinyl at low ish volumes in a smallish sized dining room 3.5 m x 4 m.Cost is about the same ATM with upgrade pricing. Era 100 x 2 plus sub mini or 2 x Five? many thanks
