Hello! every time I open the new app it states ‘turn on Bluetooth to allow ‘sonos’ to connect to accessories’

is there a way of turning this off? I don’t want Bluetooth connected on my phone all day and this message appears every time.

Even if I turn off Bluetooth in the Sonos app in settings/sonos (iPhone) it still appears

I also have this issue. Really annoying. It looks like this issue was fixed a few years ago and has now returned. How to turn this off?

Same issue here!  It’s incredibly annoying. I feel like I become more disappointed with Sonos with each “improvement/update”.  Used to be very stable and reliable but that ship sailed a long time ago……

Same for me. I reported it in another thread too. This issue appeared many years ago for a time, and I imagine Sonos is fully aware, so we’ll hopefully see a fix shortly. It’s the kind of bug that really shouldn’t get past QA

wtf this is so annoying… why the hell can they even do this

In my case I just hit the ‘close’ button and leave the App open in the background - I never see the message until I close/reopen the App, which is usually ‘never’ as Apple in my case do not recommend the user closes an App… as mentioned here:

iOS manages resources, so even though I don’t ever force close the app, it will have closed in the background having not been used for a while. So I see the Bluetooth message multiple times each day 😢

@DGR1,

When I got up earlier this morning having left my iPhone XR on charge overnight and the first App I went to from background was the Sonos App and it was just there from yesterday, no Bluetooth message, so not sure why we see different things on our iOS devices? It’s still the same now some 2+ hours later.

Just to add aswell, I have other Apps that ‘nag’ on startup, which use Bluetooth too. I think Sonos use it for Apple WAC setup and no doubt will need it for their new Ace headphones too.. but I’ve often seen such messages from various Apps including Sonos, including access to the mic aswell.

My Sony Headphones App won’t even open unless I enable Bluetooth, as attached. At least with Sonos the message can be dismissed and the App will still open.
