I have a small HTS consisting of a Beam, and two One SL’s, and I am about to get a Port to connect my turntable to the system. My question is can you isolate the two SL’s to play the audio from the turntable as a group, then automatically returning to “TV Mode” ie including the Beam back into the group when the TV is turned back on?
I have a Sonos Play 5 Gen 1 Speaker and everything is working on it perfectly except that it makes this constant whistling / buzzing sound whenever the power supply is plugged in.Dug into it and isolated the component making the noise. I am not experienced with electronics but would like to know:What is this part? Is it possible for me to fix it myself within reason? What do you think is a fair price to have someone else repair it?Any help is greatly appreciated.
I have read all the posts on having to shut off the bluetooth capability on the Sony side for the remote. Yes, it gets my x900h remote to control the Playbar, but shuts off my ability to control my Spectrum cable box. Advice welcome. Not sure why that happens as the Spectrum box is a IR device as well. Help :-)
Hi, I’d like to stream my songs directly from the Amazon Music app (the Android one) instead of from the Sonos app without losing the lossless capability that the Sonos and Amazon Music HD integration has on the Sonos app. According to this web page (https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3549?utm_source=owners_newairplay2_128803615&utm_medium=email&utm_content=cta-t2-learnhow_FR&utm_campaign=engagement_control2_178622_1623952&language=fr&et_rid=486898252) it’s written (in French) that we should be able to select our Sonos device from the Amazon Music app but I can’t see it on my Android phone (OnePlus 5T). Thanks,Alexandre
if you get a text message on your phone when playing an internet streaming service like XM or iHeart Radio do you hear the text over the speakers or through the port? If no, is it because the speakers or port is streaming the service direct from the internet and not the phone or is it just because that does not happen when on wifi unlike bluetooth?
After the fibre was installed I fought with the bunch of Symfonisks to get them working again and I’m mega reluctant to jeopardize that by fiddling around with it AT ALL. So. Has the situation changed and now these babies will work with S2, or no?
So the scenario is I’m airplaying an album from my Mac to my Sonos Amp. This shows up on my iPhone’s control centre but I cannot control the playback from my iPhone, it’s won’t connect when I click on it in the screenshot. Shouldn’t I be able to control the playback from my phone otherwise why does the Sonos Amp (Jamie’s Hi-Fi) even show up on my phone?
Today our S1 apps (Android) told us that upgrade to S2 was compulsory as the S1 controller was no longer compatible with our system. Nothing has changed since it worked fine yesterday. Is anybody else being forced to change? Given negativity I see on S2 stability I am reluctant to upgrade if I don’t have to.All my devices are S2 compatible BTW
Hi, apologies if this is discussed elsewhere already, I did search and look. Can anyone advise a preamp that I can use to connect a Pioneer PL 12D turntable to my Play 5? Will any preamp work? Or do I need a certain type/specification? Is the preamp all I need, or do i need a stereo amp too? Really hoping it’s just the preamp. Thanks for your advice. Jason
Any Sonos wireless speaker available in Australia with SD card slot to plug in and play music as another option to Wi-fi and Bluetooth?
I recently purchased a Sonos Arc (to replace my Sonos Soundbar) combined with 2 x Play Ones and Sub. Sound is great but lip sync is not perfect. However, I have noticed that my Sony TV (KDx9000e, 2017 model) does a full reboot when I turn it on. Seems like the Sonos Arc is sending a signal via the HDMI ARC port requiring the TV to perform a full shutdown rather than go into sleep mode. Painful as then takes about a minute to boot up the TV!Before I do a full reset on both TV and Arc, anyone have a good solution as I see this is not an uncommon issue but unclear what the remediation is.Thanks
Does anyone know what factors affect the response speed of a controller? Using the android app, I have a OnePlus 6 that is faster at browsing Spotify and loading artwork from a NAS than a Samsung S8, and that in turn is faster than an old Samsung Tab A, from 2016. Is this a processor issue? Or RAM? Or something else? In some cases, the difference at loading a tracklist or cover can be quite a while. Thanks in advance.
Couple months back realised I’d lost the ability to choose ‘play now’ or ‘play next’ or ‘add to end of queue’ when browsing my music. Only options now are ‘add to my sonos’, ‘add to sonos playlist’ or ‘play in another room’. Is that a result of the S2 controller, or my new Move, or something else? Is it curable?
So I’ve just bought a Sonos One Gen 2 which promises interactivity with Alexa and Google Assistant. I use 2 Philips Hue bulbs which were connected to Amazon Echo and worked very well. now that I bought my Sonos - I have disconnected my Echo as Alexa theoretically works just the same in it. BUT NO! Using Alexa through Sonos won’t allow me to use my light functions as it won’t find these devices. I never needed a Phillips Hub before but now, with my Echo disconnected, it doesn’t look like Sonos and the inbuilt Alexa are able to find the bulbs and connect to them. can somebody please confirm if I’d still need to use an Amazon device to discover and use my bulbs or if without it, Sonos would only be able to find my devices if I buy a Philips Hub?If that’s the case, I can say I am very disappointed with the product as it limits my experience and forces me to spend more more in order to use the same features an Echo device provides me with.
The Sonos app will not start in Windows 10 version 2004. The banner appears and the Sonos.exe process is listed in TaskManager. I’m not sure but I don’t think it worked since installing Windows 2004. I uninstalled the app and then installed the new S1 Sonos app but it does the same thing. Other Windows 10 version 2004 computers are able to run the app.

What are your recommendations for the best cable to use running form a Pro Ject T1 turntable to a sonos five?
Hi, I have a few questions regarding the Sonos arc and connectivity. If anyone could help that would be great.. Can you use the Sonos arc (at all, Luke will there be any sound) if your TV only has and ARC HDMI connection and not an eARC?. Can I use an optical cable instead of an HDMI connection to link to TV/Projector?. If I decide to connect to my projector which doesn’t have either ARC or eARC connections will I get any sound?. My projector will be over the other side of the room which is around 3.5/4m in length, assuming I have to run a cable round my skirting board would this still connect OK or will the signal of the cable be interrupted? All help appreciated,Cheers,Gary
I am mounting a 75” tv to a full-motion wall mount. Where the TV sits in the room it will be angled roughly 25 degrees to the left at almost all times so that it faces the center of the seating position. I’d like to mount an Arc to the bottom of the TV so that could also direct sound at the center of the listening location. Are there any mounts to do this? I see there are mounts specifically for the Playbar and the Beam to attach them to a TV wall mount. Also, are there any other considerations I should have for doing this as compared to just mounting it directly to a wall and have the Arc pointed in a different direction than the tv? Thanks.
Pandora decided to stop working today. It finally said it needed to be “reauthorized”. I hit the button and brought me to a page that asks for an activation code. But I don’t have an activation code… when I hit “forgot code” or “where to find code”, I get this... I forgot my code If you have forgotten your code, you can retrieve it from the product you are trying to set up. Simply select the Pandora option on your product, and it will give you a code to use on this page. But no matter where I look on the Sonos app, I don’t see an activation code. When I hit the authorize button it pulls me through a screen or two within the app but no code found there. I also tried to remove the service and re add. And have the same issue… I know this was much easier when I did it forever ago...
Hi all -I currently have a Beam and set of Play:3 speakers. I’m looking to purchase the Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable. Are all 3 compatible with each other? If so, since the turntable has a built-in amp, will I need anything else to get it to play on the Beam and Play:3 speakers? I REALLY appreciate the feedback as I’m having trouble figuring this out. **ugh, I need to proofread before posting...*help**
Hello everyone.i have a question about how to connect my Sonos beam to the TV and to my PC, if it’s possible at all.So right now my beam connected only to the TV, and the PC to the TV. And when i want to listen to music from the PC i have to turn the TV too.is it possible somehow connect the PC to the sound bar so I won’t need to turn the TV on?
Hello - first time user of this forum so thank you to anybody who can help with this. Is it possible to use a smart TV (LG LED) as the amplifier/speaker for a ZP90 (possibly via a Humax box)? I have an old ZP90 that is not getting used and this would save the need for an amp/speaker purchase to play it through if a TV could do this - acknowledging that TV audio may not be the best sound quality. I see lots of people looking to use the Sonos system to play their TV audio in a surround sound approach but not the other way round. Thanks again.
I have an old Bose Lifestyle 30 that sounds great. What Sonos kit would I need to put Spotify though the Bose speakers and what connections would I use? Thanks
