Hi I’m building a kitchen extension with a very high vaulted ceiling.i was thinking about some in the wall speakers, this would require me removing some of the block work the guy at richer sounds thinks it a bad ideaany thoughts appreciatedtia Paul
I just wanted a pair of Bluetooth speakers that I could stereo pair. I didn’t realize that WiFi was required, and I wouldn’t be able to use the Move with the Arc. My bad for not researching enough $800+ down the tubes. I truly despise these speakers. The delay alone with my Mac makes them near unusable. As a retired technology product owner, I can’t believe this company is still in business.
Hey there! I am thinking of getting myself Amp but have read of some annoying trouble some of you have had after the last major update. I have 3 Sonos speakers at home, and would like to connect them, together with my passive speakers, into one system. How smooth is your experience with Amp these days? Would you still buy it today?
I purchased multiple Sonos products for the specific reason of being able to play music in multiple parts of my house. I love keeping my speaker in my bedroom and using voice command to play music—Sonos Voice Command is one of the reasons why I purchased this line. With that being said, I’m completely frustrated and feel very hopeless about ever having the option to lower the loudness of the voice command feature without compromising the music volume. It’s completely unacceptable that Sonos has to scream at me when I use voice command to simply play calming music at bedtime and subsequently wake other people up in the house. What a rudimentary, simple, expected feature to have on a product and yet here I am complaining in a discussion board with what appears to be many other frustrated customers where this issue has yet to be addressed. Feeling very frustrated, stuck and disappointed in Sonos as a brand, and rather regretful to have invested in so many products only to be stuck without
Boa noite, tenho uma cx play 3 e vez por outra ela para de se conectar ao meu wi-fi, já tentei várias vezes mas diz: produto não encontrado
The company told me that they do not provide replacements. Does anybody had some advice?
We are currently building a new home with a large outdoor patio leading onto our pool,My main audio system is very high end and we will be able to hear it when the doors are all open,But for times when they will be closed, I Would like to have some music of decent quality in the area,We have Sonos in our TV room and bedroom. So want to stay on brand. My choices would be 2 Sonance 8” in ceiling with amp, a pair of ERA 300s or a couple of Move 2,sSo what would be the best for overall sound quality?
An an existing owner (and shareholder!!) got the 25% sale offer. I really wanted to upgrade to an Arc Ultra but the discount doesn’t apply to it. I’m quite miffed at that. I’m happy with my existing setup except for the Beam. Why in the world would I be restricted to stuff I don’t want??And any other recommendations to use the discount? I use Sonos for surround sound in my TV room.
"I have a large living room (72 m²) with challenging acoustics, and I need the best Sonos setup for optimal sound (audio only, no TV). Here are the room details:"📐 Room dimensions:Length: 10 meters Width: 7 meters Ceiling height: 4 meters in most of the space 7 meters in the right short wall and the bottom long wall (meters 7 to 10) 🏡 Room materials:Floor: Full stone (granite). Large glass wall → Less sound absorption, potential reverberation. High ceilings in some areas → Bass frequencies might get lost.❓ What is the best Sonos speaker placement to achieve optimal sound quality in this room?Which speakers should I use (Era 300, Sonos Five, Era 100, Sub, etc.)? I currently use the Alexa Media Player integration for Home Assistant notifications, but I would really appreciate the ability to use my Sonos microphones to trigger automations in Home Assistant. Does anyone know if this functionality is possible?
One common use case for me is using my headphones while cycling to the office - a rather challenging task for noise isolation headphones.Coming from a pair of Bose QC 45 to Sonos Ace, I miss a lot the wind rejection noise isolation feature (marketed as “Commute” by Bose), so I would like to kindly request this feature for Sonos’ headphones too. From a technical point of view, I don’t really think it’s that hard to at least create a proof-of-concept, as the wind has usually known frequencies.
With so many streaming platforms available, which ones work best with Sonos in terms of quality, compatibility, and features? Let’s compare services like Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and others to see which offers the best experience.
When you spend 2700 on a surround setup you would hope it has a power button. Brand new 3200 lg tv always reverts back to sonos even when switched to TV speakers. I have to unplug from the wall everytime we are not watching a movie.
I’m new to the Community, as I’m trying to find a solution to a long time problem. I can’t see an answer when I search the Community, so here’s the problem.I tend to play direct from Spotify to my Sonos system. I’ve had a problem for some months now that sometimes tracks just repeat themselves - could be from a playlist or an album, but basically just repeats track. There’s some weird stuff going on, as what’s on screen is ‘stuck’ - so looks like it’s halfway through playing a song, but actually it’s moved on to playing the song again.I don’t have this problem with Spotify playing to headphones / car, just to Sonos speakers. And when I play from within the Sonos app, not a problem either.I have had a few other problems (speakers dropping off the system, needing a reset to rejoin the system) but I’ve been able to fix these.I tried Spotify support, thinking may be a Spotify rather than Sonos issue - their solution was to uninstall and reinstall Spotify app, which worked for about a day b
I have been having an issue for months where during every third song while streaming Apple Music, Dolby Atmos clicks off and the song reverts to just stereo. I either have to pause the song and restart or back the song up to the beginning to re-enable Atmos. I can’t believe the engineers aren’t aware of this issue. It is extremely aggravating. It’s always something with this app. I have Arc Ultra, Era 300’s, and Sub gen 3.
I use the external library feature to stream Atmos tracks to my Era 300 this works fine with eac3 (DD+) in an mp4 container. What I would really like to do as well is the stream TruHD ripped from my Blue-ray audio disks. This only works in an mkv container which Sonos does not support. Any chance of putting this a future feature
Why doesn't Sonos play music locally when the Internet (WAN connection) is down? Yesterday our Internet connection was down all day. We were surprised to find Sonos was totally useless despite our local LAN and WiFi working fine. To be clear: we play content almost exclusively from local libraries and those devices were working normally the whole time. I’d appreciate someone from Sonos answering here. Support just told me via chat that this is expected. I really hope that’s incorrect - it’s pretty unreasonable to require Internet at all times even when playing local content. Also, since our Internet connection came back I've had to restart all of the Sonos players - some multiple times - to get them work right again. Just more continued instability since the app update.
Hi allThis is similar to a lot of posts on here but with an added extra in the form of Optical - HDMI converter. We just bought a Samsung S95D TV and all was well. Once I discovered the Universal Remote settings on the TV and just clicked Yes to the Power Off question I even had the One SolarCell remote working the volume on my beloved Sonos Playbar that was connected to the One Connect box via Optical cable.BUT we noticed terrible lip sync issues when watching on our Sky Q box but the delay was the wrong way around for any of the delay settings to work. All delay settings just made it worse. Googling seems to show this is a known issue.SO we bought an Optical/HDMI converter, plugged the optical from the Playbar into it and then it into HDMI 3 eARC and the lipsync is much better but I can no longer find a way to make the ONE SolarCell remote to work the volume.I've tried all sorts of configurations in the Universal Remote settings but I am unsure whether to choose Optical or HDMI 3? Reviews are not possible for obvious reasons. I have owned for awhile and upgraded once my Sonos system. The app is crap. They have since reduced functionality/sound controls, I constantly have issues with the app. Crashing It requires constant reboots, too many updates for less service, now recently and final straw it is requiring an update that is dead end. No fix offered and I am not here to waste more time with sonos tech support Error message says retry later with no options to fix and zero functionality. I now know I paid wayyyyy too much for this garbage company's junk product. Replacement systems they offer cost stupid money for crap app and only fair to good speakers. Buy it if you want speakers that forever increase in costs and headaches. I want my money back and damages. It's like buying shoes and the soles soon fall off in a sharp rock pavement.
My dad has a room in the house where he used to listen to music and decompress. His speaker system is outdated so I would like to set him up with a Sonos system. What would you recommend for just listening to music only? None of these products would be connected to a TV.
Hello, Sonos professionals,I’m getting a new house in a few days, and I’m finishing the basement with a SONOS system in mind--while I have the exposed walls, I’m trying to get the electrical setup. The living room upstairs will have an Arc Ultra and sub (where we watch tv--eventually I will add the erras for surround), and I want the basement to be able to sync to it for when we have parties. My question is how to do the basement. It’s about 700 square foot, and most of it is in one square, open area. I will have a poker table, a pool table, and a bar in this area. I’m designing the system for MUSIC primarily, as there won’t be a dedicated entertainment area any time soon, despite the presence of a wall mounted TV. I want something that can bang when it wants to for parties, but otherwise, provides clean universal music that can be talked over, specifically for poker games (so no speakers directly in anyone’s faces.)I’m currently thinking that two in-ceiling speakers over the poker tabl
Title says it all.
With $1,000 US to spend will I be better off replacing my ArcSL with and Arc Ultra or enhancing my Arc SL with a pair of ERA 300s?
So after months of misery are things looking up? I did practically a full day of changing tracks, adding tracks, pausing, adjusting volume, etc like the good old days yesterday. Obviously I didn’t want to get too excited but after playing with it again today for a few hours and still things working as they should I’ve got a spring in my step and life is seemingly getting better 😂I’m not exactly sure when or if indeed an update has sorted things because I’d given up on it and stopped trying to use it, I’ve not done anything different on my end so fingers crossed. 🙏🏼
