No power button on Sonos Arc

When you spend 2700 on a surround setup you would hope it has a power button. Brand new 3200 lg tv always reverts back to sonos even when switched to TV speakers. I have to unplug from the wall everytime we are not watching a movie.

Sonos is designed to go into a lower power mode shortly after it stops receiving a signal, so it can automatically come on when it starts receiving one. Much like your TV set. The only Sonos devices that have a true power switch are the battery powered ones.

Why would anyone spend $2700 on a surround sound setup and only use it when watching a movie?  Is there something about regular TV that makes better sound non-beneficial?

The SONOS objective is to allow the SONOS controller App to always have control of the SONOS system. A true power switch would prevent this when the unit is OFF.

You could install 3rd party wireless power switches to power down the SONOS units. It is likely that the power consumed by the remote power switches will be less than the power consumed by a SONOS system in standby mode. You’ll then need to execute the power switch App before and after using ARC.

One approach for you would be to install a blocker between the TV and ARC. This will reduce the operational convenience somewhat, but will prevent the LG and ARC from detecting and controlling each other.
