I have a Frame TV with ARC. I don’t want a visible sound bar. I have a sub. I ordered 2 in wall front and 2 in wall rear speakers and an amp. For surround sound do I need another amp or what other device would work?
I have a Sonos S2 compatible sustem including Play 5 and Connect amps. I am purchasing a high end cd player which includes a built in DAC. Given that I have inputs on both my connect amps (3) and my Play 5’s (3) will I get full functionality from the cd player connecting to one of those devices or do I need to purchase a Sonos port??
I want to mount my arc on the wall below my tv and have been watching YouTube videos by Peter Pee. He goes into technical details on all aspects of systems and mainly Sonos recently. According to Peter, there is an optimum distance from the arc that you can sit at to enjoy Atmos and the up-firing speakers are at a fixed angle not allowing for much adjustment to this distance. The only adjustment you can make with a wall mount is the distance below the ceiling. He provides a chart showing the impact of changing the height and changing the angle of the unit to the ideal sitting location. Wall mount does not allow for any angle change. Sonos should provide information on the best mounting option for a given setup. For example I have a 75” tv and sit 15’ away from the arc and can mount the arc 7’ below the seating. What is the best angle for my arc??? Also, they should sell a mount that allows that allows adjustment of the angle.
33 / 5000Hello, Next week I receive SONOS arc,sub 3G and 2 one GEN2.I would like to know what are the best settings to adopt for Netflix on my ps4 as well as on my TV knowing that I want 5.1 Best regards
Hi, I have a Gen 1 Play:5 and have been considering upgrading it (with the upgrade program) to a new Beam soundbar. It would then be the main speaker in my Lounge and I know the Beam cant compete with the play:5 for sound quality. However, I also have two Play:1 that I don’t use. The question is, would Beam linked to 2 play:1 for 5.1 be comparable to the older play:5 for music quality? I thought this was a good option to get a set up for my TV whilst using the play:1s and not forking out the money buying a new Play:5. Appreciate any feedback, thanks.
How mobile is a sonos one speaker? Can you unplug it from your kitchen and take it to another room, plug it in and use it there without having to go thru a setup?
Hi. Is it possible to connect a pair of play 3's to a beam for surround sound?? Tia
Hi all,Forgive me if this seems like an obvious question, but I haven't been able to dig up a definitive answer.I have a Sonos Connect that feeds into an old school power amp that drives a couple of passive speakers and a sub.If I were to connect a Beam to my TV, would I be able to pair that with the Connect to output audio from my TV through my amp? I don't need a surround setup, L+R will do just fine.Would there be any sync issues and would I be able to do this over wi-fi, rather than having to hard wire either device to the network? Thanks in advance for any input!
I have a Beam + Sub + 2 Surround speakers (Sonos Ones). My TV (with its Beam) is installed in a lift cabinet. When the TV is off, the TV and the Beam are lowered deep inside that cabinet. Since the voice assistant defaults to using the Beam’s microphone and speaker, it becomes difficult if not impossible to use Alexa when the TV is off, buried in my lift cabinet. Having two Sonos Ones sitting there, each capable of providing Voice Assistant function but disabled by default is quite frustrating. Is there a way, in a surround configuration, to select the microphone and speaker that the Voice Assistant uses rather than defaulting to the Beam?
I have a Sonos beam and now I want to purchase a turntable to play vinyl. Does the beam connect via bluetooth to the turntable (assuming the turntable has a pre-amp)? Or do I need a Sonos Port or a Sonos Connect?
CIAO TO ALL, i have a sound bar 5 years old.i have my SONG-music in MY smart phone iphone11 and i wish to hear the same music also in the soundbar, through wi-fy in my house.before was possible, by using the google music app, but now this app is not more available, and i received the suggestion to use the “youtube music” app.but this app have a cost…do you know another way to hear the music in the bar from my iphone? I’ve seen mentions online about the “no signal” issue with running an AppleTV 4K through a Sonos ARC with relation to “boot up order” but I haven’t seen anything that actually mentions the boot up order or more importantly how to force the boot up order. Is there a setting, or delay on the Arcana that I can set to control the boot sequence? Sometimes I boot up the system and it works, other times I have to manually cycle the power on the Arcana in order for the signal to get picked up.
I have amazing Sonos speakers but I cannot use the streaming service I pay for or the other free ones that I enjoy. I’ve had this issue ever since Sonos made the switch to the S2 app. It’s really frustrating. I have tried all of the troubleshooting suggestions and none of them have worked. It’s not my internet or router because everything else works and I’m even able to get Sonos advertisements on my app but no streaming services - including Sonos Radio. Has anyone found anything that works?
Hello, I know it can look like a question that has been asked dozens of times, but let me explain: I know now for sure, after all the conversations held in this forum, that 2x Ones will give you better sound than the beam. Now, my question here is, how much better?. Is it a 30% better. Just a slight increase in bass?Just enough better to give up all the convenience that the Beam gives me?I just plan to use it in my bedroom which is small. Thanks!
Hi! When using more than one Spotify account, the overview does not show which account I can select.Could you add the username of the account in small font underneath the text “Spotify”, or display the name that has been given to the service? Attached is a photo of the problem:
I have upgraded from the original Sonos 5 to the very latest Sonos 5 - single speaker. I have installed the controller on two cell phones, an iPad, and my main Windows 10 computer. But the controller installation file (Sonos2) will not run on my laptop. I get error 1305, error reading from file. Have tried multiple downloads of the file to no avail. This is probably a Windows issue but I’m sure I’m not the only one experiencing this problem. I have not been able to find much help out there for this issue but I assume it’s a fairly common Windows problem. I would greatly appreciate your assistance. Thanks……...
Have been using Port plus pair of Ones and 1 Play 1 for over 2 years. Listening the other night I paused play from my Apple watch for a couple of minutes and when I started playing again from my phone the Port had disappeared from system on phone. On my laptop the Port was still there and would play but the other speakers were not there. After doing Factory reset several time apparently successfully, I could still not add the Port to my system. By now the port had also gone from laptop, which has got the other speakers back.
Hello,I am hoping to connect a bluetooth microphone (for PR purposes) to Sonos Move. Is this possible? Thank you.Yully
Hi, Outside of 16-bit FLAC support for Sonos ARC and Deezer 360, is there any support from Deezer or other services to playback using Atmos / 360 degree format on Sonos ARC? Trying to get the most out of the Hi-Fi services and ARC. Thanks.
Hi all,First post and I am considering a new SONOS setup :-)I recently moved into my flat which already has two ceiling speakers, one front and one back. What SONOS setup would you recommend to take advantage of these and provide the best home cinema experience? Please consider I have a small room and not looking to go 5.1 at this stage, so any setup will be focused around the TV. I was considering whether the Beam + Sub + Amp + existing ceiling speakers made sense.Thanks,Jag.
Recently bought a beam to pair with my QLED Samsung QN65Q7FAM sounds great just have a few questions I cannot find answers to. I have Alexa (a few of them) the beam is connected. I have read I can turn off the TV by telling Alexa to do so. However when I do only the Beam turns off..are there different setting for say Movie, music etc like on my other sound bar when I set it up in sound settings I did hdmi input audio format - Bitstream and Digital output - Dolby digital. .. is the correct and best settings? Audio delay 80 sound feedback lowMy anytime + is enabled thank you in advance!!
Can it be sold? If yes, do I need to/is there a way to deregister it from my Sonos account? Thank you!Steve
I know this is just a subjective individual need but what I love about this community is personal feedback on your own experiences… I am a recent ARC owner who was going to build out to 5.1 over time, after reading about the bass ‘issues’ and loving bass from my old Denon setup I ordered the Gen 3 sub which arrives this morning - very excited Now all that is left is the rear surrounds. Should I enjoy the addition of the sub for now or just get it complete with a Sonos ONE SL WiFi Speakers With Vogels Floor Stands Bundle Black? I won’t get ATMOS (for now) with my current 2016 Samsung which has ARC and the majority of watching is Netflix which is DD 5.1 in South Africa. Your views are most welcome 😊 Russ
I just wanted to know what you think of this review? I simply cannot understand how it is possible that the digital output of the Sonos Port could be worse that on the Sonos Connect when set to variable?https://www.techhive.com/article/3546333/sonos-port-review.html
Hi :) ,this is my first post.I’m using Sonos products since 4 years now and i’m happy with them.Thank you for the great products. Regarding my feature request, it would be helpfull if in a multiple Sonos device setup, the app would automatically switch to the active Sonos when the app is started. The same would be helpfull for the Controller on Windows. Thank you very much. With kind regards,Jack
