Is Tidal better sound quality via Play 1 and 3, playbar and sub than Spotify Premium? If so, how significant is the difference in quality?
I use "Alexa" and my Beam 2 repeats the instruction eg "playing BBC Radio 2" but then it is silent. I have reconnected to my wifi, reloaded my music services and the sound works fine for the tv. What more do I need to do?
hello, there is conflcting information online that sonos beam 1st gen is compatible to the latest SONOS APP, the black icon they call S2 - does anyone have the 1st gen Beam working on the latest Sonos App? any comments appreciated - thanks PS i do have a mixture of early sonos products and the new ones Arc Ultra / FIVE and trying to connect the Beam to this network
Hi everyone,I’ve been experimenting with setting up multi-room audio on my Sonos system, but I’ve noticed that sometimes playback between rooms goes out of sync by a few seconds. I’ve tried restarting devices, checking the network, and updating the app, but the issue persists.Has anyone experienced this before? Are there recommended network settings, firmware tweaks, or other adjustments that reliably keep multi-room playback perfectly in sync?Any tips or insights would be greatly appreciated.Regards,Dave Moderator Note: Removed hyperlink. I did try searching here, but can’t find anyone asking the same question? - I currently have a Sonos 5.1 setup in my lounge (Beam / Sub Mini / 2x Ones) - I would like to be able to access my Music Library in the kitchen, but at present I don’t have another Sonos speaker, or want the hassle of taking one out of my 5.1 setup to use in the kitchen? We do have a Echo Dot (Gen 5) in the kitchen - What I want to do is play music from my Music Library with the Echo Dot in the kitchen? - I don’t need voice commands to do so & happy to select music from my Music Library via the Sonos AppI can’t see a way to add the Echo Dot speaker via the Sonos App settings - Amazon Alexa App shows all the speakers in my Sonos 5.1 setup in it’s settingsI hope that makes sense & any help would be much appreciated … Paul
Hi AllCan anyone help with this though its not strictly related to Sonos issues?I have an old Buffalo Linkstation Duo that registered a disc failure so I replaced the disc and the other one failed. So I replaced that one and within a few days it registered a failure on the first brand new one!Im assuming that is a power issue or a fault with the chassis rather than the discs as they are brand new.So my question is if I kept the discs (assuming they are fine which they should be as they are brand new) and just switched them into a replacement chassis - an identical one ie a Buffallo Linkstation Duo - is it as simple as that?Would my PC and everything simply pick up the NAS drive as usual? Or is it more complex than that?Any help much appreciated.
New to Sonos:Arc Ultra sound, sub & Era 300: how to (regularly) change individual volumes of Era300 without disturbing overall surround sound (i.e. I want to bring up the volume of Era300 at times, but keep it in the overall surround system)?
System is saying I need to reboot built in speakers and saying no Internet connection. Sonos roam is working. how do I reboot my built in speakers?
Help please. Sony Bravia 7 + arc + Panasonic UB820 4K. Could someone please let me know what the correct Dolby Atmos settings are for these 3 units.I have the correct Hdni cables.Your help would much appreciated. All the best.Greg. $
Would it be okay to mount the Arc above a 98 inch TV I just purchased? It will be sitting on the floor with the provided legs which I believe have about 3.5 inches of clearance below the TV. The only option I see it to mount it above. I keep reading don't but it's always a TV that's wall mounted and would be much higher than my situation.
Have seen numerous comments on setting up a record player but need to add a receiver to the mix for signal boost. I have Kenwood KD-3070 turntable with RCA jacks and a Onkyo TX-SV444 receiver with many input/output ports. See pictures. I am guessing I connect the turntable to receiver (RCA) then receiver to ? to connect to my SONOS 100 speakers. Looking for guidance please with clear non-audiophile description. what connects to what description. I would assume that the connection from the new SONOS device would connect to SONOS speakers via WiFi? Thank You very much for input.
Hello, I was wondering if it’s possible to play sound through the Sonos Arc and the Sonos Ace at the same time. My friend likes louder sound so he’d like to listen using the headphones while I would listen using the soundbar.
I recently Bought a used Sonos playbar on Facebook marketplace and am unable to connect to my PC. I bought optical to HDMI converter and the app doesn't seem to recognize it. I checked the cable and tried others ones regarding the optical and HDMI. I also provided the converter link I’m currently using down below. I also want to note that there is no light coming out of the optical when plugged into the play bar. It seems to be normal because I was able to get my hands a on another playbar and it did the same thing. So now I have no idea what the problem could be and would really appreciated some help on this. Also my PC doesn't have optical cable hence I'm using a converter.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DQD1592R?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
Hi allthe situation with the volume of Arc Ultra when streaming music is getting a bit ridiculous. At a volume of 20 I can barely hear any music. I also have a Sonos Amp, connected to 2 small speakers (Dali Oberon 1), and at 20 the volume there is quite nice, at 40 they blow up the room I’m in. At 40 the Arc Ultra is just getting started.Of course this is streaming specific -- when playing from a TV source, a volume of 20 on the Arc Ultra is more than adequate for my needs. The difference of volume when streaming to the Ultra vs. playing spotify through the TV (either with my TV app, or with AppleTV) is remarkable.I keep hearing that this is partly due to normalization -- but this doesn’t make sense. If Sonos implemented some logic to lower the volume due to normalization, surely such logic would be applied to the Sonos Amp as well. So, unless the “normalization” logic is specific to Arc Ultra, I think this is not a “feature”, but a bug -- and quite an annoying one at that, given other
recently beginning of 2026, my sonos beam is getting "i can't connect to internet right now" error prompt voice when we try to use the google assistant.we tried to reinstall the voice assistant mutiple times, still having issue. sometimes, it worked for a while and then same error message again.after some research, people were talking gemini and sonos voice control conflicts in the same network. we remove gemini from my android phone, but the error still exist.any advice?
How does one turn off this stupid prompt for good?
I am a dedicated Sonos user with a significant investment in your ecosystem, including the new Arc Ultra, Sub, and several Era 100s. While the hardware remains industry-leading, the software experience is currently fragmented for those of us in the Google ecosystem.Currently, I am forced to place Google Nest speakers right next to my Sonos speakers because the Era and Ultra lines lack Google integration. I have no interest in Alexa or Sonos Voice Control; I want the power of the best AI ecosystem available today. My message to the leadership team: Please set aside the corporate friction and technical pride. Integrate Google (and the new Gemini capabilities) into your latest hardware. Don’t force your loyal customers to choose between great sound and a great AI assistant.
First time using a soundbar. Is it normal to have some delay on lip sync?
I have a Sonos system consisting of 2 x Era 100s, 1 x Beam, 1 x Roam and a Connect. I have had all for a while, but over the last month have had difficulties using Alexa to control them. Alexa works fine to check weather, add stuff to a list, but when asking her to play music from either Amazon, or BBC Sounds, or Pocket Casts, she responds, tells me she is going to do it, and then does nothing. A reboot of the speaker gets her responding again, but this only lasts a short while. I have spent hours on the chat with Sonos, and a 2 hour phone call with them and my ISP this morning. Sonos blame the ISP, the ISP blame Sonos.
Just over a year of owning the Arc, and I'm still a barely satisfied customer... It's a fantastic soundbar, but the voice control is very frustrating and in my opinion, it really limits our experience. After giving up with my preferred Google Assistant (because it can't play Apple Music on Sonos - why?!) and finding Sonos Voice far too limiting, I thought I'd try Alexa. So far, it's been the best of a bad bunch! At least it can play music and answer basic questions. But I've discovered a weird bug…While playing music from Apple Music, I asked Alexa what song is playing. Firstly, Alexa responds in the past tense (e.g. "That was Abracadabra by Lady Gaga"). But even more strangely, it actually tells me the details of the next song it's going to play, before I've even heard it! So that's some weird time travelling thing going on!There are other niggles, too. Like Alexa's voice is very quiet compared to the music so it's difficult to hear what it says. And I can't change the trigger word, wh
When I say to Sonos, Alexa play Classic Rock Florida, it replies “ now playing” then immediately responds “ I’m having trouble playing that now”
My Sonos One’s are a pair, and have Alexa and Sonos voice control enabled. Asking for say ‘BBC Radio 4’ starts a service called 45 Radio (I have no idea why or even what it is). Speaking closely into the other speaker of the pair starts BBC Radio 4 no problem. I have tried removing voice services and re-enabling them doesn’t fix the problem. Please advise. Thank you.
I have seen an old post on here but my Sonos Move announces it will play a Radio then go silent, only just started doing it.
