Since the update my system keeps failing to connect to any of my music sources. I'm constantly having to unplug my bridge to get it to reset and then i works for a little while. Fix this Sonos
I have had no such problems, and I have a pretty complex network in my home. As others will tell you, it's very likely you have a networking issue. Unplug everything from your network and reboot your network then plug everything back in again. I suggest reattaching your Sonos gear last. A search of these forums will give you an idea of what order your should unplug and replug.

I'll try it.
This new app messed everything up I'm gonna have to unplug everything to try to get this bag online.
Since the update, I lost 2 connect (I have 4), and the music does not stream from my nas anymore.
Super bummed.
I'm really fed up. I've just bought and installed a Playbar, moved countries (back to UK), installed the app from scratch on 2 different mobile phones...no music services are installing and Sonos says it's a fault with the accounts. It isn't. They're logged in on my laptop so the passwords are fine. I can't get it to sync to my music library on the laptop either. To say I'm disappointed would be the understatement of the century. I would very much like some music in my house!
Plus one for being able to order lists, especially Stations. I have a lot of stations which I then have to press See All, then scroll down to find my favourite Radio Paradise. I'd like to be able it move it up so I can see it on the My Sonos screen in Stations without further multiple key presses.
If you long press the name of the station you get the option to rename it. I then just prefixed the station using a number ie. 1.Radio One, 2. Radio Two. They then jump to the top of your list :-)
Thank you for finding this trick. It helps a little bit however the size of the icons is still ridiculous and a big design mistake. I do appreciate you posting this trick
What's with all the white? I'm learning the functions but this all white just hurts my eyes!!
Two thumbs down! Luckily, my system works fine, but the new app is clunky, counter-intuitive and aesthetically unappealing. I really hope there's a remedy on the way.
I also can’t change the order of radio stations with either the Android or iOS Sonos apps. Am I missing a trick? I just edited the names and stuck 1(space), 2(space) etc. in front. They then follow the number ordering.
OMG! Thank you so much for this! It’s driven me nuts since the day I installed that some stations were named with numbers before call letters and others with call letters first.
It seems that the MySonos only shows the first 8 stations from the list (of only 12), and I had to use the “see all” option to see the ones at end of list .... and by virtue of Murphy’s Law 9, 10, and 11 are the ones I listen to most often.
Now those three are at least sorted to front of the ginormous icons.
Whilst giving radio stations a number prefix to re-order them is a useful workaround, it really shouldn’t be necessary. I can’t belief that it would require huge amounts of coding to enable re-ordering by simply sliding stations up and down the list view, something that’s a common function in many third party iOS apps.
To Ryan S. It’s all well and good for you to say you’ll pass along the issue that Thousands of us are complaining about the White blindness but will you? Will anyone pay heed or has Sonos become arrogant like Apple? The old interface was excellent and best of all, it WAS EADY TO TEACH NEW CUSTOMERS. Many older people were buying Sonos and I won’t recommend until this is straightened out. It is confusing, cumbersome and so unnecessary. The old interface was a breeze. Improve the product, introduce new speakers esp for outdoors but leave the interface alone. You screwed the pooch on this one. BTW .. not only Not a novice, I train.
I laugh because the exact same things were said about the last major UI change (and every one prior to that); the old was simple and intuitive and the new was cumbersome and ugly. Fast forward, and the new has become the old, muscle memory has been retrained, cumbersome has become intuitive, and ugly has become familiar and beautiful. Nobody likes change, but sometimes it is unavoidable. Better to accept; the sooner one does, the faster it will make the transition from new to familiar.
"Search
It hasn’t changed, just moved to an easy to find spot."
Now I have to use a tab to go the search mode. How is that easier than tapping the search icon on the current page?
And the glaring white screen is really annoying. Do the guys who "updated" this app actually use it personally? Doubtful. I am really geting tired of "improvements" that are nothing more than moving crap around and changing colors.

I like change when it actually makes something better. Just different isn't better. And yes the new one will become familiar but that doesn't make it better. Too many tech companies seem to think that they have to keep making "improvements" that really aren't so they can look like they are 'improving" the product. We're not that stupid. Different isn't always better. When you have something fully functional, just leave it alone.
Half the system is lost - the ne CRApp is lackluster at best - how about you refund my money or make a system that actually works?
Does anyone really like the new update? It seems like a step backwards giving us less info per screen and more clicks to access functions. Also, the white color is blinding at night. I had to give it one star in the Google Play store because zero stars was not an option.

The remedy is to Google for Sonos 7.4 apk and download and install it. The ignore Sonos when it wants to install a new version.

Thank you for this info!!! I googled 7.4 and downloaded the 28.7 Mbyte APK from a Mirror site. Now I need to find an APK installer to install it after wiping the Sonos update. Hopefully I'll be able to keep using this 7.4 APK until Sonos fixes their Malware.

And yet the old app, which is now the ideal, was once described in the same terms, by the very same users. It was derided for being unituitive, too many clicks, wrong colors, different not better, etc. What changed about the old app that caused it to go from a horribly non-intuitive "don't change just to change" "not better just different" failure to the nostalgic perfection it is seen as today? Nothing but time and familiarity.
Hi,
Some feedback about the new app.
First, some background:
We have a 9 speaker SONOS system throughout the house. Access is though a wall mounded iPad that acts as the master controller in our kitchen.
On continued use of the new App, these are my complaints.
1.White Background. Caused all members of the family to think the app had frozen.
2.White background much harder to view content (white light vs content) causes eye dilation. Forces all content to be harder to read.
3.Menu / navigation options moved. Yes – we all re-learn where they are but there were extra steps to view my favourites like the original app.
Regards,
Geoff
The white is a bit harsh. The only other thing I find odd is the toolbar disappears when you maximise the playing album. Maybe that's for people who use a phone perhaps? I like to check out the artwork and queue sometimes and it's odd to see it vanish at that point.
Dark mode would be good.
Bizarrely, the tool bar disappears on an iPad too when the Now Playing Screen is maximised. Really no need to hide it as there’s acres of empty white screen that could be utilised better.
Yeah, I use an iPad normally so I was assuming it is for phone users or something. Seems odd to have it disappear in just the one spot. Took me a minute to work it out first time.

This is probably my biggest gripe, appreciate that I can pull down the screen but it would be better if left visible.
TOO MUCH WHITE.
Sonos seem to be copying google play music which is all white with a splash of orange. Just because the big boys do it, doesn't make it right.
Replace the white background with the classic sonos blue flowery background, I loved that on the pc.
