Hi all, happy Christmas.I have spent the last 24 hours having trouble setting up a surround system with my Sonos products. I have two Play 1 SL’s set up already which I was just using to play music through. A couple of days ago, I bought a new Sonos Arc and Sub (Gen3). I initially linked the Sub to the Play’s no problem. I then installed a new TV and Arc, then it all went horrifically wrong. It set up the arc as a separate system (Living Room 2) and I couldn’t get them to move under one system. I have an old Sonos Connect Amp on S1 which I just use in an office at the far side of the house and I’m not bothered about this. I resorted to hard resetting all the products so their buttons are all now flashing green. I tried to set up the system again, but its now saying the Sub is on S1 along with the old Connect Amp, WTF! I have logged into my account online and there it is, your new sub is on S1 and not compatible. Toooootally confused. My broadband is Sky and I have read other f
I have a Sonos one and a Sherwood Stereo receiver. I know the only port the Sonos One has is an Ethernet port in the back. I also know that Ethernet cable is capable of sending audio signal. I was wondering if I was to get an adapter such as an Ethernet to RCA adapter would I be able to connect the Sonos one to my stereo receiver and get audio playback? Note: the stereo receiver is connected to a record player and a TV.
I have added a Sonos Ray to our system. It already contains a Sonos Arc configuration with double Play 1s which is working fine.The Sonos Ray though regularly disconnects (it says disconnected under Sonos App-Settings-System) and unavailable to manage from the Spotify application. If you do want to connect Spotify will say “connecting to … “ until it times out.I have already tried the usual steps, like a hard reset and setting it up again with the latest firmware but so far nothing has helped. The router is also really close with multiple devices working at their maximum signal strength and rate so this cannot be the issue.Any more I can do? I love the device as a concept but if it doesn't work I have no other option to return it.
Hi all, Received my mini sub this morning and I've fallen at the first hurdle, it will not connect to my Sonos system. Current setup is Beam (gen2) and two SL Ones.Plugged the sub in, solid white light. Go to the Sonos app, Settings > system > add product....and the app just cycles through the WiFi animation and doesn't find anything. I've still got the solid white light.I've looked at the WiFi, and there's no new device that shows up. So it suggests the sub isn't even finding the network?Any clues??
Purchased a Sonos Gen3 sub a couple weeks ago and received it a few days ago. Setup the unit and noticed it wasn’t producing bass. Tried factory setting, connecting wired and wifi and tested with various audio sources and nothing worked. Contacted support and worked with someone for over hour going through troubleshooting steps and in the end they deemed it was defective and started an RMA. I asked support multiple times before starting an RMA to confirm I would be getting a new unit since it’s basically brand new (a day old) and the said yes. I shipped my unit back and received the replacement unit today. I received a refurbished unit as a replacement. I contacted support about receiving a refurbished unit and basically told that I was sent a refurbished unit because they were out of new ones. That’s not good practice. I asked to start a refund as I didn’t pay the price of a new unit to receive a refurb within a week of getting my new unit. Customer support told me I can’t r
I recently found a Beam 2, the since it's perfect for my apartment. But the volume level seem to differ greatly between different apps in my TV. I have an LG C2 and the volume is fine when I use the TV speakers and Bose speakers I previously used as well. I'm using the in built apps in the TV.For Netflix I need around 50, hbo Max around 30, whereas YouTube needs only 15. It makes it almost impossible to use the speaker as the volume becomes too loud when I switch apps, that neighbors start complaining. Is there any setting I can use to fix this? I really like the speaker but I can't use it if there is no fix for this.
Hi all, I've been having an audio related issue with my sonos arc using a Sky Q 1TB box. In the past month or so, when changing from a HD channel to a SD (standard def) channel, I suddenly lose sound altogether. The only temporary solution I have found to rectify this is to turn off the Sky Q box via the remote, turn it back on, then the audio comes back again. This does seem to happen infrequently, but when it does it's incredibly frustrating as you can imagine.My audio setting on my Sky Q box is set to Dolby Digital. I really do not want to have to change this to normal.My in built TV Netflix app supports dolby atmos without any problems. I have updated all software, including on the Sky Box, my TV, my App via play store, to no avail.My TV for reference is aPhilips - 65PUS7556/12If anyone else is having a similar problem please let me know. Google assistant has never worked properly with my Sono speakers connected to my TCL TV. I can use google assistant, but the assistant does not change the sonos device volume or play settings when asked. Please fix your sonos system so it can receive feedback from the user in Canada.
I have a kitchen/family room. I have installed 2 ceiling speakers, and have got an amp to power them (I bought both Sonos amp and ceilings speakers new Nov 2022). I also have a gen 1 soundbar and a gen 3 subwoofer. i want to use all this in 2 ways: Watching TVSoundbar gen 1 connect to TV via optical, and want to use the sub and use the 2 ceiling speakers as surrounds. Listening to musicUse the amp and 2 ceiling speaker along with the sub. (If the soundbar could be used in this set up, this would be great, but not essential) I want to know 1) is this possible? And 2) what way do I go about configuring this setup to work with my 2 use cases.Thanks in advance 😁
I am currently getting my 2 replacement remote for my 4k Apple TV that is less than 8 months old. So this will be the 3rd remote I’ve had in a very short amount of time. The actual IR (infrared) emitter on the Apple TV remote keeps going out and thus it will not work with the Playbar. If anyone is having the same issue, open up your camera app on your cell phone and point the top of the Apple TV remote towards the camera lens and look for a little red light shining on your phone screen when you press the volume up/down/mute. If you do NOT see any red light that usually means that you have a bad Apple TV remote. You will not necessarily have issues working other functions from that remote as most of the functions with the Apple TV are through bluetooth connection and NOT IR connection. The ability to use the Sonos IR volume control is specifically using the IR side of the Apple TV remote. Hope this info helps someone as this has been extremely frustrating for me.
I want to use Sonos sound for my Apple TV. I have in ceiling speakers now with Sonos s1 amp powering the sound, with a nearby TV. Can I upgrade to Sonos s2 amp and use the sound for TV via Sonos speakers while using Apple TV to show the visuals/video?In another area, I have Sonos2 with sound bar and sub, working with newer TV, but want to use the in ceiling speakers for surround, which are currently attached to a Sonons 1 amp. Do I just need to buy Sonos 2 amp and connect them to this system?Thanks.
Has anyone else noticed their loudness toggle while using the Arc not working since the 14.18 update that fixed the trueplay and sub issues after the 14.12 update ? Mine hasn't worked since and I've been hoping updates after would fix it but none have, I've contacted support today but he said all he can do is pass it on for further investigation.
