Hi, we are building a media room of 12x18 ft (WxD) and I am wondering which products I should buy. Is the Beam V2 enough, or do I need to go to the Arc? Do I need the large Sub or does the small one work just as well? Would be awesome to get some recommendations. Thanks!
I’ve got a new sonos Arc that is connected via HDMI/Wifi. I also have a sonos AMP connected to two ceiling speakers that is connected by Ethernet. When I play music to the AMP before connecting as surrounds, the speakers work normally. When I pair the AMP as “surrounds” to my ARC, and try to run true play, I get the “Lost Speaker” one of your speakers couldn’t be heard…” error. I ran a diagnostic and submitted it - 535901999 But can’t get through to support. My wireless setup is a ASUS Mesh netowork with Ethernet backhaul to each mesh node.
Got the Arc, Sub3, and a pair of Era 300's with Sanus stands for Black Friday. Looking for suggestions on best placement. Unfortunately I won't be able to get 'ideal seating' with the room layout. Any other suggestions besides the attached photo? TV is 65" LG C9 wallmounted.Unfortunately I can’t change the furniture layout just because of the door, openings, and windows. I am open to returning the 300’s though if I won’t get much of a benefit without ideal placement.
Hello,I just bought an Arc. It got me thinking about how I can build a surround system, so I found out about the Amp. I’d love to run this setup: Arc - no Ethernet, connected to a (slightly older) TV via HDMI-ARC Amp - no Ethernet, powering: 2 matched Denon bookshelf speakers 1 third party sub1. Is this possible?2. Assuming I can run the diagnostics on either an Android or an iOS device, can I get Trueplay tuning in this setup? Thanks,~alex
Just got my Arc and did a temporary setup last night with it sitting on a box below TV. Am looking to do a permanent wall mount soon. The Sonos guidelines state pretty clearly (and in multiple locations) that the Arc should be placed/mounted “at least” 4 inches from the bottom of the TV.Why 4 inches? Is this for thermal reasons? Or sonic quality reasons? Or something else? TVs are not CRT any longer so couldn’t be for the old-school image EM disruption reason, LOL. Is it to provide ample space for the upward-firing Atmos speakers? I’d like to mount the Arc to the wall below the TV, but closer than 4 inches between top of Arc and bottom of TV. If this is truly a naughty no-no, I will have to move my TV up higher on the wall, which I don’t want to do for viewing purposes, and also because it’s a pain - already mounted in place for years with lag screws and a precisely located cut-out in the wall for cables, etc.The only reason I can think of that would give me pause is if it’s a the
Hi All,I have just gotten a Beam gen 2, and went through the app setup process, and the app just blank not loading anything.the product is working by it self but the app is not working with the systems etc. When I look at my system tab in the app, it’s says my product is ‘not registered’, and then when I click on that and go through the process it says I have to factory reset the product (which I’ve obviously tried already) to no luck. Have tried the following factory reset of Sonos product, reset WiFi uninstalling / updating app new account / setup process for my new product Live chat unfortunately wasn’t helpful Any Help would be appreciated,Cheers
Hi, I have a Beam 2 soundbar with two Sonos One connected to a LG C2 tv and the tv connected to my PC. My problem is that every couple of minutes (sometimes more sometimes less) the sound stops working for a few seconds.Has anyone had a similar problem?I have tried various things like using the pc in 5.1, 7.1, dolby atmos mode. But the problem continues. The PC has a RTX 3080 and I'm using a HDMI 2.1 cable. The Beam 2 is connected to the HDMI eARC and the TV is in pass through mode. Thanks for help
I’ve just purchased and set up a Beam Gen 2 to replace an old Samsung 2.1 system that finally began to kick the bucket. Even with just regular stereo content and no sub, it sounds much better with all kinds of media than the old Samsung. I’d love to make use of Dolby formats and even get surround sound set up (my fiancée and I both own Sonos Ones), but it seems my Panasonic TX-50DX750B television might be the weak link. There’s bothersome audio sync issues when playing Dolby Digital 5.1 content via Apple TV 4K or PS5 that aren’t resolved with the Sonos app offset. My TV’s got great picture quality, but only regular ARC, and the audio settings are incredibly limited. There’s not a single use of ‘passthrough’ in any of the menus; the closest option I can find is ‘HDMI Audio Format’. That only offers ‘Auto’, ‘Bitstream’ or ‘PCM’. From my research, it looks like my TV simply doesn’t handle processing DD fast enough for the Beam, and I might have to look into getting something like the HDFu
Hi Sonos Community we have a great room setup - kitchen on one side that faces the TV in living room.i have new Arc soundbar and sub (gen 3) hooked up to the TV. all works well. bought 2 ERA 100 speakers last week to place in kitchen to fill in the sound when watching TV or cooking in the kitchen.first setup i did was add the ERA 100s to the “Living Room/TV” with the Arc and Sub configuration under “System”. the app defaulted to “surround” speaker setup for the ERA 100s. it connected fine but being surround sound setup it only played music or sounds effects from the TV??….no voices or people talking. not the setup i wanted.so i removed the ERA 100s from the “Living Room/TV” config and created a new config called “Kitchen”. ERA speakers work fine and i can add them to the “Living Room/TV” config so they play the TV sound including voices or play music on them while TV on.my questions:~ when i turn on the TV the Arc and Sub play sound from the TV however the ERA 100s in kitchen do no

Whenever I turn the TV on with the Apple TV remote and use the AppleTV apps the Samsung Tv no longer sees the Sonos Beam and defaults to TV Speaker.WorkaroundThe only way to fix it is by switching off the Beams power disconnecting the HDMI and reconnecting, the TV then sees the Beam again, reinitialises the connection and continues to play audio from the Beam.As soon as I switch the tv off again… later that day, turn it back on and I have to repeat the same process. CEC isn’t being disabled and no config is changing in the TV settings, it

Hi,Just got myself an ARC and a Sub Mini. When toggling the Loudness/speech enhancement/night mode on/off, nothing’s happening.Do I need eARC to enjoy this feature?I do have HDMI arc, but sonos could not find it, so I had to use the optical cable. That’s okay, but just wondering if it has something to do with the HDMI.Having said that, the loudness didn’t work in the store when they were demostrating it for me.And that was through eARC.Any tips?:)Ken
Hi All Having issues, I used to run a beam gen 2 with a sub gen3 and 2x1sls. Trueplay ran fine no issues, I upgraded my beam to an arc yesterday and since upgrading I can no longer run trueplay as I get the error that the room is to loud. The weird thing is if I remove the sub from the group trueplay works fine, it only doesn't work when the sub is connected. But this was never an issue before installing the arc. I have tried a full hard reset on all devices deleted the app and rebooted my ipad to no avail. Called support and being told it could be because I have more than one router but I don't see how that's causing this. Any help would be appreciated
Hello All, I’m looking to mount my Era 300’s upside down, at ceiling height. Before I start ripping my walls apart and drilling holes has anyone already done this that is able to share photos of their Installation? / does anyone have any advise for me before mounting them upside down? Here is a photo of my Era 300’s currently, yes I know they’re not positioned correctly. TIA,Jamie
Just wondering if anyone has the sonos era 300 mounted upside down, close to the celling with the sonos wall mounts as this would be my preferred choice for the layout of my room as I have lamps and a bit of a wired l shaped room. Going to be used paired with the arc and a sub gen 2 and was wondering what experience people were having. Thanks NW
I bought an ‘immersive set’ through a black Friday deal and I am delighted with my beam sound bar & mini-sub. However I haven’t opened the Era100s yet as surrounds as i thought I would try my old gen 2 Play:1s first. I didn’t know these could be used until after ordering - bad research!it seems the surround set up leaves the Era 100s rather ‘dumb’ - and the sound quality improvements over the play’s just isn’t material in this arrangement. Would folks agree? It seems like a waste. I’m tempted to pass on the Era’s.
Hi,I have added a couple of One SL to my Beam Gen 2 to complement the surround system, whenever I try to play any movie or media trough any streaming service the quality sound available is not the optimal or the highest available, i.e. HBO Max has Atmos but the most that I'm able to get is 5.1, Disney offers 5.1 but I'm only getting Stereo; Beam is connected via HDMI eARC on a Sony TV KD-65X75K (I'm aware that does not has Atmos, but prior to adding the One SL I was able to get Atmos). Thanks.
Guys, I have always wanted a great sound system, I purchased the above item from a very nice older man, who was downsizing his abode and I listened and spoke with the person and his use and praise of the unit for a good 20 minutes, before purchase… He told me it had been purchased locally from a well known retailer and his email receipt was all packed away in boxes’, ready for his removal! So I get it home and try and find a serial No:?… No where to be found, so I can’t register my product, also it’s missing and audio thingy?….Trying to set it up with WIFI 6 home network isn’t working, as it can find my SSID but wont register and I have no idea what the manufacturers password might be?...I’m in trouble !!… It connects to my LG Smart TV via eARC and the Sonos cable provided but keeps swapping from “Internal Speakers to Sonos is now available?.. I want to add to this system slowly throughout the house in a small way .I.e. Bass and another speaker and will be
I have a Panasonic ptar1000u, a ps5, a cable box, and an Xbox series x. I want to be able to hook them all up using the Sonos arc, and be able to get use of Dolby atmos when watching content on my Xbox or ps5. I’ve found so many conflicting experiences online. Just looking for a little help. I thought if I got an av receiver capable of outputting earc I could just hook all my components to it and then hook it to the Sonos arc, but it appears that won’t work. Any suggestions would be awesome, I’d hate to return my new arc.
