I have a Samsung Q90T + Sonos ARC where the sound consistently cuts out while watching shows and movies. TV is up to date as well as Sonos Software. Using an Apple TV 4K. I’ve replaced the HDMI cables. I haven’t been able to get this corrected through Sonos or by searching the web or this community. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Hey guys Today I bought a new tv, a Samsung Neo QLED 65QN92A. Before I had a Philips tv, and on it, I connected my Arc, sub and could use the 2 one SL to make a home cinema. On the Philips, I used a HDMI from the arc to the tv. Today I tried installing the Sonos system on the Samsung. The arc is again connected to the (e-)arc HDMI port. The settings are also set to use the arc port. The problem is that the Samsung tv only uses the arc and sub to produce the noise. The 2 one SLs I have to create the surround effect, are on, are connected, but don't make any sound. I have tried to remove and reinstall the whole Sonos system, it works completely when I use Spotify, but still not for the tv.I tried the typical unplug and replug the HDMI port.I reconnected the tv in the Sonos app, but in the app it only asks for the arc to connect. The 2 one SLs are, just like the sub and arc, part of my system according to the Sonos app. Edit: after using YouTube on the tv, the one SLs do work with the other
Hey all,I installed two Sonos Ray sound bars on a wifi network named Pace generated by my cable modem. All was working great. Later I installed a mesh wifi network with the name Air, and connected my iPhone to it. When I open the Sonos 2 app, I get the alert of a network issue and tap “let’s fix it.” The next screen says “Your mobile device is connected to Air. Let’s update your Sonos devices to connect to it” (or something similar. So I follow the prompts, but during the process the status keeps saying “Connecting Ray to Pace.” So the app knows the Rays aren’t on Air, the same network my phone is on, and suggests that I change the Rays to connect to Air, but then it during the process it always reconnects to Pace. Any advice on how to fix this? I’ve followed the steps in the support articles and app prompts exactly, and I can’t seem to get the Rays to switch to Air. Thanks!
Hello, I got huge problem with pair my Ikea Symfonisk to my Beam 2. I already tried to restart my router and both Sonos devices but nothing changes. From Beam options I can use option to add new device but somehow nothing shows here as avaiable option to pair. Both devices are under one wifi network. Any clue how i can fix this ? Oh and i got only one Symfonisk gen 2 right now but I assumed that this would not be a problem ? Also when i connected one speeker and adding second one to the same room then somehow Sonos app create second room (same name with added number) instead of just add speaker to existing room.My diagnossis number 499631236
I had my arc and sub paired and working good. But seems after i unplugged and moved both, the sub pairs with the arc but then while using the subs comes and goes. I’ve unplugged, removed and reinstalled etc. can’t figure it out. Any ideas? Sub and arc are literally within 5 unblocked feet of each other. I’ve reset both speakers and all components of the internet - router and wifi.
I have the arc, sub (gen 2) and 2x Ones in the rear. I recently received the notification that my trueplay configuration had been reset as part of an update….super annoying.Anyway, when I try and retune the system I receive and error before it even starts (see below). I’m using iOS.This happens before the first part of the process, and I can’t seem to figure out why. When I cancel and try again I always get the same error.Has anyone else seen this issue and been able to resolve?
I have had Sonos Beam plus 2 One SLs setup and working for a few months now and it was working beautifully playing music and TV. However it has suddenly stopped playing any sound through the surround speakers. The strange thing is I can control the volume from the Beam using the touch controls of the One SL but no sound comes out of them. I have checked everything and have even reset everything and set it all up again but issue persists.I can remove the surrounds and add them as a separate stereo pair and the play music fine - just not when as surrounds. If I remove them and try and re-add them I get an Oops! message after quite a long time trying. If I then cancel the setup the surrounds seem to have been added but again, they don’t emit any sound.Really confused as my system was working fine.Any help greatly appreciated.
Just picked up new Sony Tv that has only 2 2.1 Hdmi ports and one of those is for the earc so it only leaves me one 2.1 for everything else… if I got a AV receiver and basically used it as a switcher would that work ? So plug in all my systems into the receiver then plug the receiver into the 2.1 port and then plug Sonos arc into the Earc slot … would that work ?
I just updated to the latest firmware and after ‘finishing up’ the system failed to complete the update and notified me that I hadn’t worked.I assumed it would have defaulted back to the most recent working setup but it hasn’t - it says that there are no updates available.the system doesn’t work and no sound coming out of speakers. What do I do now? I didn’t pay nearly £2000 for this setup to have to deal with this nonsense. After reading about the other issues people have had Sonos is really losing its shine. Unprofessional.
Hi there, I recently purchased a Beam Gen 2 which I use to listen to the TV and music streaming apps, I do not have a sub or surrounds. I use a Foxtel iQ4 box which connects to the TV via an HDMI cable and can transmit Dolby 5.1, 2.0 or PCM which I then port directly to the Beam through the HDMI-ARC output port on my Sony TV. I use the TV’s “Pass through” mode which does no decoding of the audio signal, otherwise I get lip synch issues with the audio (the sound is delayed). I have the ability to output compressed audio from the TV to the Beam without modification, or convert it to PCM if I choose.I have noticed that when watching the TV in Dolby Digital 5.1 or 2.0 mode, some lower frequencies that are especially associated with male voices are significantly distorted even at low volumes. This is repeatable and removable by changing the output to PCM audio (but then the sound quality is noticeably inferior). Various scenes in Apollo 13 (such as the CO2 scrubber scene) and the local news
So I have an arc, sub and 2 ones. I did the latest update and trueplay has vanished altogether, not even greyed out.I dont own any apple products and had to borrow one when I got the system to initially do TruePlay. Am I going to have to borrow another Apple product again or is there a fix coming?
I’ve had a new Panasonic TV for two weeks. Connected to Arc via eARC using certified HDMI cables. The Sonos room comprises the Arc, wired to router, a Sub (wireless) and two wireless play 1s. There is an annoying issue where the audio drops on the Arc for about five to ten seconds intermittently. It happens once per day, though for the first time it happened twice yesterday, within 30 mins of each other. This is mostly when watching live TV. As it is only once per day, it is quite hard to replicate and test on orther sources (apps on TV, NVidia etc.).This issue did not happen on the replaced TV; one of the reasons for the new TV was to utilise eARC.Any ideas? If a Sonos tech is available, the diag is 808361536.
Hii recently got a couple of symfonisk lamps to provide surround sound to the beam I have. On first install a couple of yesterday, everything went great and I was super pleased 👍🏼 today when I logged into the Sonia app on iOS everything had disappeared. Anyway reset the app and added the bean back following the unplug approach the app steps you through. Perfect. Then I went to add the syfonisk lamp. I hard rest the synfonisk lamp and re added from scratch. It says it’s added successfully but it refuses to show within the system so I can’t create surround sound. I tried the same with the other lamp and the same thing has happened. It mentions unplugging them and plugging them back in again but that doesn’t help. 😢 Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you 😊
I have listened to Mixcloud on my Sonos Beam almost daily for the last 4 months or so. Yesterday I upgraded the Sonos Beam. Now Mixcloud rarely plays then quickly dies, and I am getting a slew of errors with the iOS app and macOS app.“An error occurred while adding track to the queue (701)” Unable to access the Sonos Beam at all from the iOS app. If I do get Mixcloud to play, it plays 2-20 minutes of a show, then skips to the next, within 1 minutes skips and finally gives up. After this Sonos is fully unresponsive. I trieda factory reset of the Sonos Beam. No difference. Checked the Sonos music service status page. All reported well. Killed and restarted the iOS app. Sometimes it doesn’t even find the Beam until I reboot the beam. The only thing that helps for a little while is powering the Beam down and powering it up again. But less than an hour later it exhibits the same issues. Networking is so flaky that sometimes it won’t even connect bluetooth. Please revert your changes.
I have 23 Sonos components and am converting at least half of them from wireless to wired. In one room, I set my Arc and Sub as “Disable Wi-Fi”, but my surround speakers (Play:1s) are wireless. How does the Arc bond with the surrounds in this case?On one hand, I would hope the Arc’s 5 GHz radio would be used for this. But since I designated it “Disable Wi-Fi”, I’m guessing the Arc would go through my wired network, to the Sonos speaker acting as the SonosNet bridge (different room), back to the wireless surrounds.
My Symfonisk bookshelf speaker sound constantly breaks up, it’s never been great since I bought it along with the beam and lamp speakers. It’s in a room with a good Wi-Fi signal, when I run a speed test from the room it’s over 470Mbps and there’s nothing else being used in the room to interfere with it.I’ve gone into the Sonos app and submitted diagnostics so hopefully someone can help with this issue.
I have a LG TV connected to a Sonos Beam via the HDMI-ARC port. When I first turn on my TV or when no sound is on the TV for a while, normally due to the screen saver coming on, the Beam is reporting no connection to the TV and the volume is set to zero when I look at the Beam via the app.I have to press the volume up button every time for the Beam to re-connect to the TV and sound to be heard again. How can I get it that the Beam keeps its connection and volume level even when the TV is off or the screen saver has kicked in ?
