Home Theater

I have a few movies rips that have an Atmos 5.1 eAC3 track and a 7.1 eAC3 track. I’m using Infuse on an Apple TV 4K. Samsung Frame 2024 and an Arc Ultra based setup.  When I choose the Atmos track everything works as intended. I see the logo in the SONOS app. But when I choose the 7.1 track, it gets « downgraded » to stereo PCM as shown in the app.  I’m wondering if it’s a bug? A configuration thing? An incompatibility? Anyw views? Thanks!

Seems this is a common issue but cant seem to see a resolution. New LG TV, with Sonos Arc Ultra, whereby my Bluetooth headphones disconnect after a few seconds. The Arc keeps taking the audio then my bluetooth loses connection.i have tried to switch off Simplink but after a few seconds Simplink automatically switches back on.Does anyone have any ideas how I can use Bluetooth and stop Sonos automatically connecting?

From iPad app; note Kitchen and Music Room are faint, but still show volume.I have a variety of speakers in my HT system that have worked for years. Lately a few speakers show up, looking faint, but still selected, and still showing volume, even though they are not making any sound. Have tried basic things like powering off, inplugging, checking network selection. I’m hoping someone else has seen and solved this.

Howdy guys im curious if there is a way to get equal audio from both SL's and the Arc Like for instance typical home theater receiver has an "All Channel Surround" where all speakers produce the same audio im looking for that , i love the speakers but the way the surrounds disperse audio drives me crazy. If i could get them all to play full audio for things that dont need surround sound that would be awesome.  Any help would be greatly appreciatedThank ya

Just bought an Arc soundbar and hooked up to my Sony tv. I’m on the Sonos app and next to the TV it says Stereo pcm. This bar doesn’t seem to have much base or great sound the way I know Sonos speakers can have. I am in the Earc hdmi source just looking for advise or should I return this product. Thanks Guys

I have  a Beam and two ERA 100’s and sub-woofer in my system.  For any audio source other than TV everything is great.  But for TV the ERAs have either no sound of a very weak distorted sound

I have an arc 2- 300s and cannot true play my system am I missing something?

The ArC SL is producing echoesi, occasionally when watching movies, and also during commercial breaks specifically when watching the Peacock streaming network. I have two 1’s and a sub connected to the system. Even when I turn off the 1’s and sub I still hear the echo from the soundbar.

I’m experiencing a problem with Sonos Arc Ultra soundbar and judging from the posts I found on the internet I’m not the only one.  There have been others experiencing the same or very similar issue with their Samsung, Sony and LG tv’s.My TV is Samsung QN90A.   The problem is that that Sonos does not let my TV switch away to TV speakers or other connected bluetooth earset.  After the switch is made, it temporarily succeeds and then again the sound is routed to Sonos after a few seconds.    I’m connecting over HDMI eArc output from my TV.  I have tried using Sonos cable, my own Anker high speed cable and the same thing happens.  With my Sennheiser Ambeo Plus soundbar, no such problem exists.  I can succesfully toggle between the different sound outputs on my TV.  What’s even more upseting, is that Sonos provides no power button.  So the only options are either to turn it off from the outlet or turn off CEC in the TV menu to accomplish this.

Hi, I have a sonos system S2 playbar, amp, two play 1s as stereo - all running ok. I do also recently was able to get my hands on S2 Connect Amp and I would like to use it to get my two ceiling speakers be utilized. On top of that would like to add play 3 S2 to the system. A lot of speakers but not connected they’re just not utilized, would like to put them to use. Anyone know how ? I did manage to add play 3 to the system and it allows me to group it can’t get it to stay grouped. I haven’t messed around with the connect amp.

I have had surround set up for years. It’s stopped working however. I have reset all speakers but it will not allow me to reset up surround, I have a beam, One SL and One in the living room (although only two shown in picture). I cannot add them all to living room to create a surround again. The app is also not showing the kitchen speaker even moments after completing setup.

Sonos Arc won't connect to my Samsung TV.  Has been working perfectly for years.  Just quit working.  I have replaced the HDMI cable running from TV to Arc HDMI connection.  Have gone into setup mode to connect the Arc to TV but when it tests the connection, it says not connected.  My Samsung TV does not have an area in sound settings to set for Arc.  It never did and I never had to do this previously.  Hoping someone can help.  I literally have spent hours trying to figure this out.

Hi allEvery time I start to watch something the volume is always set to mute. This only started happening a few months ago. Every time, there’s no sound. So I have to press volume up, then the green light displays, indicating it’s on mute, and I have to increase the volume to the desired level. When I’m navigating Plex finding a film, I don’t get the interface audio clicks. It’s so irritating, it makes me feel like things are broken. Does anyone know why this is happening?Any help is appreciated!

Hi allI have a Samsung UE55AU8000 TV, which is connected a Ray via optical cable. I use the Plex app on the TV to watch my movies, which are stored on my Synology DS224+ NAS. My movie collection is encoded with HEVC. I like a lot of old films from the 40s and 50s and many of these have AAC Mono audio. When I play one, there is no sound from the Ray :( To get sound, I have to go in to the TV Settings > Sound > Expert Settings, and change Digital Output Audio Format from ‘Auto’ to ‘PCM’ and I’m getting really fed up of having to do this.  Can someone explain:The reason for this; I’d expect mono to be a fairly simple thing to deal with, and regardless of how many speakers there are, they should all simply play the same mono signal. Would that not be a better solution? If my solution is the correct one, if not, is there another way of dealing with this? I have ordered an Apple TV 4Kand intend to use the Plex app on that instead of the one of the TV. Not for this reason especially, bu

I recently jumped on the Sonos bandwagon with the Arc Ultra, Sub-4, and a couple of Era-300 (happy happy happy). But I just noticed that Google Assistant is not listed as an assistant I can install from the app.Is this just because it is new or something?

The manual says to turn the collar counter clockwise in order to swivel but is it so tight I don’t want to break it. Anyone have the same issue?? I searched on YouTube and no one else seems to have this issue..

I don’t see a way to turn off music overnight.  I’ve left music on outside before and my neighbors didn’t appreciate it. The best idea i have is to plug my Sonos amp into a timed outlet.  This will force the zone to be off during established quiet hours.   is there a better way to do this?

Had two Era 100 Pro’s installed today but the installer and I cannot figure out how to get them working properly for surround sound. Can I use a PoE switch w/o the uplink OR do I have to use PoE Injectors and a switch combo to get the Pros into wireless mode? The installed had a 65W 5-Port GB switch with 802.3af/at PoE+ ports, 30W max per Port 65W total for all PoE+ ports. Thanks

Hi Sonos Community,I’m having an issue with my Sonos Arc when streaming Dolby Atmos content via my Apple TV 4K. The audio intermittently drops out for 1-2 seconds during playback, especially on Netflix and Disney+.Setup Details:Soundbar: Sonos Arc Streaming Device: Apple TV 4K (2nd Gen) TV: LG CX OLED Connection: eARC enabled with HDMI 2.1 cable Network: Strong Wi-Fi connection with no noticeable interruptionsTroubleshooting Steps Tried:Ensured all devices are running the latest firmware and software versions. Replaced the HDMI cable with a certified Ultra High-Speed cable. Adjusted Apple TV audio settings between “Auto” and “PCM” modes. Reset both the Sonos Arc and Apple TV, but the issue persists.Questions:Is this a known issue with the Sonos Arc when handling Dolby Atmos via eARC? Would switching to a wired Ethernet connection for the Arc improve stability? Are there specific settings on the Apple TV, LG TV, or Sonos app that could resolve the audio drops?Any advice or insights woul

I am looking to potentially connect  2 beam sound bars to one TV is there a viable way to do it?I was going to use an HDMI splitter into the Earc and told that may or may not work.Any feedback is welcome as it’s not my area of expertise.thank you

I have a large living room.  Home Theater is amazing!  But blasting music sucks.I have an Arc, full size Sub, 2xOnes (back).   I would LOVE to add another full Sub (which I see I CAN to the Theater system) and I would love to add LEAST 2 x Era 300s (front pair) or even more.    BUT… from everything I’m reading I can’t play music with those speakers even if I drop out the ARC.  I can’t select a group/room that includes all those where most of those speakers are also in the group/room/home theater system. Is there a way to expand my existing home theater system to include Era 300s? Or is there a way to easily toggle between home theater as is and Era 300s but include the subs and ones without manually dropping and adding speakers every time I want to play music?Any other ideas? How do people that have big living rooms and like to rock the house set up sonos systems?Thank you!!

No change in devices but no longer see Atmos in Now Playing on the Sonos app. I can get Multichannel PCM but no Atmos. My Apple TV 4K device used to see a separate Living Area set of speakers as an audio choice. Now I only see the Apple TV. When I select that option all I get is AirPlay, no Atmos. Apple told me to contact Sonos. Sonos chat support no help. Recommendations?

I have client that has a sonance 8 channel amp. We want to hook his TV up to the amp for the speakers. How can we do this? The tv is outside so we can't run an Hdmi and he doesn't want a sound bar. I was told that he could get an audio video receivers that can work off the tv through blue tooth. But not sure. Does anyone know how this can be done. Thanks Jeff Sequeira

So my ERA 300’s will be here tomorrow and plan on replacing my 2 IKEA SYMFONISK.My question is once setup as a surround, if I press the Bluetooth button does it automatically allow me to use as Bluetooth or is there more to do in app? thanks in advance

I have the Sonos Arc and Sub Gen3 and I would like to wall mount the Arc under my tv. TV is an 85” Sony and is hung on the wall with a fully articulated mount. The tv does not sit flush on the wall - it is 6 inches out from wall to the front of the tv. If I use the Sonos Arc mount or equivalent after market, the Arc will be almost flush with the wall and ‘under’ and not in front of the tv, even though I plan to mount 4” to 5” below the tv. Seems like the upwards firing speakers would go into and into the gap behind the tv.Does this pose any issues with sound quality or sound bar functionality? Does the Arc need to come out off the wall and be “in front of” the bottom edge of the tv! If yes, am I better off getting a scissor style mount for it (Sanus Extendable Sound Bar Mount) or mounting a floating shelf? I don’t really want to see the mount or wires - I already have a cable management kit for it, but really want to put the sound bar so far off the wall that yo can see the outlet and
