Hi all! I listen to a lot of music with my Arc Ultra, Era 300s, and Sub Gen 2. While I felt like the system doesn’t fully reach its potential due to the nerfed Era 300s, I was still quite happy with how it handles music overall (coming from the OG Arc + Symfonisk Bookshelf Speakers). That said, I was never a big fan of setting Music Playback to "Full" in the Surround Settings. To me, it always sounded a bit muffled and echoey, whereas "Ambient" had a much better, more balanced sound.Over the past few months, I’ve done multiple Trueplay tunings, and after the latest update, I decided to do it again. And then, just for a moment, I disabled Trueplay while having Music Playback set to "Full"—and wow! The difference was huge. The sound was clearer, more open, and way more enjoyable than with trueplay "on" or ambient. So I switched back to "Ambient", which, in my opinion, clearly sounds better with Trueplay ON. Then I tested some Atmos Music, and again, Trueplay ON delivered a much cleaner an

Hello! I use my Arc Ultra connected to my eARC BenQ TK710 dolby atmos capable projector. I use an ATV4K 2022 edition. Very often whenever I want to stream Atmos content on any platform I get no audio at all! The Sonos app shows no audio! If I force the ATV4K to play DD5.1 then it works again! Or If I leave it on Auto, Atmos on then the 5.1 content reads Stereo PCM on the Sonos app. Is this happening to you? I have changed cables..I am using Ruipro 8K fiber optic cables 25 ft the green ones and still the same issue. I have to disconnect the Arc from power and plug it back in for it to work again with Atmos.

Just upgraded from an Arc and Sub Gen 3 to Arc Ultra and Sub 4.Both devices are connected via ethernet cable.I am able to disable WiFi for the Arc Ultra. But for Sub 4, there is no option to disable WiFi - is this normal for Sub 4?

Hey everyone - I have a pretty old Samsung TV (UA46C7000) that doesn’t support eArc, it does have an Arc port but it only outputs PCM.I’ve been using the Xiaomi MI Box Gen 2 and I’ve connected it to the Sonos Beam usingand optical cable. This give pretty bad results as the sound is metallic at times and is in stereo.I’ve seen loads of good reviews on the Arcana being able to convey Dolby Atmos to the Beam. Does anyone have any experience with this specific setup? (Mi box → Arcana → Beam). Will it work seemlessly? Perhaps there’s a cheaper solution that’s I’m not aware of?Many thanks!

My Arc and sub often fails streaming musicDR P4Tidal Error:Something went wrong Program is not properly encoded. And suddenly it works again for a short time.Very annoying

Does anyone use their touch controls on their Arc Ultra? If I want to change volume I do it with my TV remote or the Sonos App. From a design perspective, the touch control unit looks awful and makes the regular Arc look way better.  I would rather have had Sonos add another HDMI port and support for the DTS formats as a pass through than add touch controls. I just don’t get the decision to add touch controls?  What’s everyone else’s thoughts?

Does the mini sub Era set two speakers and the arc ultra all work well together?

I have noticed when watching youtube videos, especially with women dialogs, that they can be a bit sharp/harsh, especially those with higher pitched voices. I am wondering if I should purchase a Sub 4, and balance out the sound more, or will this not help at all? Chat GPT claims that a Sub should free up drivers since bass work will be offloaded to the Sub, letting the Arc Ultra focus more on mids/highs, resulting in better sound there also. Is this true, and would it improve the harshness/piercing? I am not interested in adding rears. For men voices it can become muddy, but speech enhancement is an easy enough fix for that. BTW, I also notice the harshness on the Spotify TV app on my LG C4. Music sounds much better with airplay or with the Sonos app, but that’s not a dealbreaker since I can use airplay for music. I am using passthrough on the TV.

Hi All!  new to Sonos and finally convinced my wife our family needs a home theater room and my 40th birthday present! Works all done but could use some guidance on where you would place the speakers. Have an arc ultra soundbar, sub 4, 2 era 300 speakers, mounting the arc ultra under an 85 inch sony. Was going to put the 300s about a foot to the left and right of theater chairs and the sub where it at in the picture, room is 18x12….. any feedback if agree or would do different please share!

This is so incredibly frustrating. I have had several support chat and phone calls with Sonos. I have submitted so many diagnostics just after it has happened and the support agents are never able to provide me an answer. I was told during my last support call that an update will be available to address the issue however it literally just happened again. I’m getting very tired of watching tv with my wife only to have the you know what scared out of us from my Arc sounding like it just exploded.Support’s proposed solution to me was RMA my Arc that I purchased brand new and been having this issue since I installed it. I asked if I would be guaranteed another brand new Arc in return and was told that could not be guaranteed and there would be a strong likelihood that I receive a refurbished arc. So essentially I’d trading my never worked correctly since day 1 brand new Arc for a used one after having paid full retail price. Theres gotta be something better. I’m still in the original warra

Hello I have a Samsung Q90T and a Sonos sound system (Arc, 2x Era100 and Sub Gen 3).  Sometimes the Sonos sound system won’t play any sound coming from the TV. Even though the Sonos app says the TV is connected, the TV says it is connected, and the led on the Arc blinks when I’m trying to increase volume on the Samsung remote.  Previously when I’ve had this problem, I could fix it by turning everything off, and unplugging the arc, my Apple TV and Xbox series x, then turning tv and arc back on, and setting up the tv in the Sonos app again, and plugging in the arc when the app says so. Then it would work again, and I could plug in my Apple TV and Xbox series x afterwards.  When it happened today, my previous fix did nothing. I tried resetting both my tv and arc to factory settings, but still didn’t work.  The problem occurs when the tv is trying to play any content - when it is only the menu, I can hear the menu sounds through my arc. CEC is enabled, Pass-through is enabled and earc is e

I noticed on my Sonos  home theater (arc ultra, 300s, sub4) all LEDs keep running even product is in low power or idle mode. Sonos should roll out a feature to turn off all LEDs when they are in standby or use a diff color. There is no way for us to know that products are in low power mode.  thanks!

This topic falls somewhere between a conversation and a question. When there is need for a multi-solution sound system with limited funds Sonos might not be the optimal choice, but with what I assume to be simple means it could be a better choice. Speaking from personal experience: I’ve previously bought 2 Era 100s and use them as TV-speakers awaiting an upgrade on the Arc to later use them as surrounds. Meanwhile I own a turntable which I’m looking to hook up to the same system (disclaimer; I am well aware that it’s sub-optimal and that there are better ways to enjoy your vinyls, though for the sake of convinience, this would be my personal preference). It is common knowledge that when the era 100s, or 300s for that matter, loses its capability to use the line-in function when used as surround speakers. Something to do with optimizing their primary use as surround speakers. However, browsing the web there seems to be a fair few who would like a function to easily switch between surroun

I am trying to connect a Ray soundbar to a relatively old TV.The TV has an SPDIF Out. But it is not working at all. I have tried to use an optical cable which has a mini Toslink connector at one end.Do I need to buy a separate converter?

I have bought the Latest Sonos Ultra Arc Soundbar and looking for any advise someone has bought for a Televisions, size and make that also is of the same high Spec and shows off the quality's of the sound Bar

Good afternooon,i have purchased a new (Samsung) TV which has no optical output and i wanted to connect the play bar via HDMI/SPDIF converter.TV’s audio ouput is the HDMI connected to the converter. The optical cable that goes into the playbar has a signal (red beam is on).In the Sonos App, the playbar shows SPDIF selectedUnfortunately the playbar stays quit.Does the optical input need some ‘special’ configuration ? Regards,Gaston

What are your experiences with trueplay on 2x era 300, arc and sub mini? Is trueplay really better? Or should I use my own settings?

Dear all, thanks to the valuable help of this community, I have focused on my desired setup.I need one last piece of advice on how to connect everything. Here’s a description:on the wall/screen side, I have my internet box and will have an Arc Ultra (can’t wait) on the other side of the room, I have a projector, which has 1HDMI + 1HDMI eARC.  TV signal is provided by a decoder (UHD 4K/atmos) which can either be on the wall side (connected in ethernet to the internet box) or on the projector side (connected in wifi to the box). The decoder has one HDMI plug. One option I guess would be to have the decoder on the projector side, connected in wifi to the internet box, and to the projector through HDMI, and use the eARC port of the projector to connect to the Arc Ultra. But maybe the connection of the decoder through Wifi (6) will be a bit limitative.I was wondering if you guys saw another setup. I’d rather not use the optical in if possible as I need it for another source. I am also intere

I understand that the Play 1 is not supported with the Arc Ultra, however some have said they do work. Has anyone found that they actually do NOT work? Sounds like Sonos want to remove the support stream. I appreciate there could be a future issue with upgrades etc but my question is has anyone found they were unable to bond the Play 1s with the Arc Uktra?

Hello we have just purchase 2 arc ultras with subs for two separate rooms.  Each are set up with a TV.  I have successfully paired one Arc and sub in one room however setting up the second arc I cannot locate the flashinglight due to how the tv and arc have been connected physically.  Below is the notification from the app and the photo of how mine looks.

I have a large room (26’ x 26’) with couch in middle of room facing tv. Current setup is beam soundbar paired with (2) sonos ones as surround and also (2) sonos ones beside the beam facing the listener. The (2) ones adjacent the beam soundbar are paired and make a considerable difference when watching movies.Current Large Room (26’ x 26’):Beam Soundbar (2) Adjacent Sonos Ones facing listener (2) Sonos Ones paired with Beam as Surround I am debating purchasing an Arc Ultra and moving the beam and (2) adjacent ones to a smaller room to make (2) surround sound tv setups. Two room setup would then look like this:Large Room (26’ x 26’):Arc Ultra (2) One’s paired as surroundSmall Room:Beam (2) Ones paired as surroundI am concerned that the Arc Ultra as stand-alone with (2) Ones as surround will not be as powerful as the current setup. I know I could also buy (2) Era 300’s but I’m not interested in spending that much currently. Thoughts?

how to  minimize below neighbor complaining and keeping a good setup.  i alos want a goood setting to watch movie ( i habe a gen 2 beam with 2 One Slmas surrounf and a Sub mini )  please send me your best setting for movie watching .  Where I should have the sub mini in my room .  I have a L shaped sofa

HelloCan i use a LAN câble to connect m'y sono one to a vidéo projector?

Hello. Yesterday during watching a Transformers on SkyShowtime 5.1, no Dolby Atmos, At some moment I heard a loud single crack sound.Could be of course just some quality jump or signal issue.Just wondering, if there is or will be added in the future option, when all the speakers can be tested one by one as now I am bit worried if all is playing as before and was it just glitch or speaker by itself.Tried rewind immediately and wasn't there anymore.Did someone experienced something similar? If does already exist something to test speakers one by one, let me know please :) Just don't ask me to check by putting my ear close to speaker as 9.1.4 speaker... I am not doing it :D Thank you for any respond and have a nice day. :)

Hi. Are these Sonos surround sounds have an equalizer that I can adjust like before?
