Low frequency sound is far less “directional” than higher frequencies. Plug your Sub Mini into a long power cable for convenience and then try it in different locations in your room. See if you can find a place where both of you are contented.
Any best setting as Treble 0 , bass 0 . Surround TV , surgeon audio etc
You shouldn’t get much sound from the Sub conducted to the floor but you can add a soft kneeling pad under it. Adding an inexpensive cutting board makes a nice base for the Sub. Cut both to fit your Sub and space.
Any best setting as Treble 0 , bass 0 . Surround TV , surgeon audio etc
“Best” is a very subjective issue. Your room size and shape, ceiling height, build materials, soft furnishings in the room, curtains, windows will all have an affect on the room’s acoustics. Settings that work in my room may not work for yours. What sounds good to me in my room may not sound good if you were here to hear it.
Best sound/settings is what you like, not what I like.
I love the dedicated mats but hate the prices.
If you do go the expensive route try to get it from a place that accepts returns as it (or my solution) may not provide the improvement you want.
Using a mat you can reduce sound coupled to the floor. An unfortunate aspect of this situation is that typical home structures are somewhat transparent to bass.
