Skipping tracks

From time to time my sonos starts skipping the tracks after playing approx one minute of a track. This loop continues until I power off/on the unit. Then it plays ok a few days and then starts the loop again.Any ideas?

Sonos Port, turntable, surround sound

Hi,have a question and I hope that someone has a similar setup and can confirm something for me.I have Beam and two ONEs as surrounds. I also have Audio Technica turntable with built in preamp and BT. Firstly I planned to buy two ERA speakers and connect turntable directly to those ERAs (as line in is off when in surround mode) but I connected turntable through ROAMs BT and then grouped with surround. Sound was beautiful.So now I would like to buy PORT, connect turntable to PORT and set autoplay to BEAM with surround. Would this autoplay feature work or is it, by some strange reason, disabled then?I suppose that regarding TV it either has priority or who ever comes last to BEAM, but that is irrelevant as TV would be of when listening to records. many thnx for help

Am I overthinking this? Logins and experiences for unique users...

Hello.I’ve searched and read the forum and it could well be the case that I have tied myself in knots overthinking this problem, or it is as difficult as it seems :-)  Either way any help and assistance would be welcome.I have an S1 system with 5 x One’s, an Amp and a Connect with 4 unique users (1 Generic Sonos and 3 humans), several Google hubs and Amazon Echo devices.  Spotify account is a 5 user family account. My first issue is how do I assign unique users to unique Sonos units using their own login’s to Sonos with Spotify running on their account only with the communal units running a Sonos dedicated Spotify account. My second issue is how Sonos and Spotify playback can be handled by either Google or Amazon devices connected to a particular users Google / Amazon login and unique Sonos unit. Here is what I would like to achieve:Sonos unit 1 - AMP - in communal area using generic Sonos account and Sonos specific Spotify account set as default player for Google device Sonos unit 2 -

Another connecting to new router question

Hi all.  I have just moved some of my Sonos Play1 speakers back to my home from my recreation home.  They are on the same router they were before I had moved them initially.  At my other home they were running on S1 but I am trying to set them up on S2.  Here is what I have tried unsuccessfully:Download S2 app under my existing accountReset Play 1 per instructionsFollow all set up instructionsI have tried both with wifi and hard wired to my router.  The Play 1 seems to go through all the motions with light turning green etc. but in the end it tells me connection unsuccessful and no more help :).  It also isn’t registering my Play 1 with my account.  It seems to me like an issue of it trying to use my other router but I have even tried hard wiring to my router.I am wondering if I should set up a separate SONOS account but haven’t tried that.Thanks for reading and hopefully one of you veteran SONOS folk can help out.PS:The router I am using in my new home is an ActionTek, same as in my o

SONOS - the eternal Network nightmare

Hi,So I can play tracks on Spotify to my Sonos Symfonisk speakers no problems. However, on the Sonos app I get the error message 701. Have turned off router etc but nothing. Incidentally, the error also occurs on the Phonos paid for Windows app.

Sonos is an absolute nightmare for wireless connection to WIFI

I use WPA2 (Wi-Fi Protected Access 2).….oh, your signal is bad.Reconnect router, unplug this, plug in that, unplug again, factory reset this, use new Sonos app, use old app, try again, could’nt connect...ugh

Bonjour, il semble que l’accès à ma bibliothèque musicale stockée sur mon smartphone Android ne soit plus possible. Pourquoi avoir supprimé cette fonction? Je ne veux pas enclencher mon PC ou m’inscrire sur un cloud quelconque pour écouter ma musique. Est-il possible de télécharger une ancienne version de l’application Sonos qui était parfaite?Est-il possible d’utiliser une autre application pour écouter ma musique stockée sur Android?Pourquoi remplacer une version qui fonctionnait bien par une version plus limitée? C’est dommage, j’étais content de Sonos jusqu’à ce jour.Cordialement.

Era 100 and S1

I recently purchased an Era 100, am super excited to upgrade from my current Play but the rest of my house (5 devices) is S1.It doesn’t appear that I can downgrade the firmware on the Era to be S1 compatible, and only can use the S2 controller software (which weirdly couldn’t find the thing, though the S1 software did).This might be ok, except I need the Era to sync to the music being played on the rest of the devicesCan you please tell me how to sync this player to my current S1 system?  Obviously replacing the entire S1 system isn’t an option.Thanks,

Router refusing Sonos connection

I have a USB HDD connected to my Archer VR1600 router, which is shared and accessible on my Mac://ipaddr/volume(sda1)/..When I attempt to add that path to my Sonos library config and supply the share credentials, it whines that ‘the computer (ie my router) refused to let Sonos connect to it’.[update:] I’m using the S1 version of Sonos software as the device is a Connect/ZonePlayer.---Background: our LaCie NAS is about to die, and it makes sense to move the the data from it to a Google cloud account.I want to keep a local cache of our audio files for streaming through the Sonos Connect.

sonos amps inputs overriding all inputs

Got a strange problem. I have 4 Sonos anmps and a bunch of other Sonos speakers and when my kids are playing the Nintendo switch on their Sonos amp their audio will start streaming to all the other Sonos amp and speaker zones. So as an example I can be listening to Spotify through 3 of the Sonos amps and a few other Sonos speakers then randomly my zones will switch to the Nintendo switch and all the zones I’m listening to will play the Nintendo switch audio. It’s getting really annoying. Any ideas how to stop it automaticity switching all other inputs to the switch.

Bundle Arc & 2x Era 300 with Sub Gen 1

 Hi there group,Just bought 2 Era 300’s and the Arc. Adding my existing Sub Gen 1. Like to get the groups idea of placement of those Era’s. The Arc is going to be mounted on the mantel and the new 83” tv from Lg 72.7”x41.4” will be wall mounted 4-5” above the mantel (see Photo) on the wall. The sub is on the floor near that open door, next to the brown couch. the tv shown is the old 77” LG. Thanks in advance.

Roam will not power on

I have a roam that will not power on. It was unplugged for several days a may have went completely dead. Plugged back in for server days. 1. no power and no lights or sounds trying to power onI can hold the power button for the 12 seconds - orange light comes on orange light stays on for about 10 to 12 seconds and fades back off i have tried this both plugged in and not plugged in I have no sounds or lights during the process except the orange light coming on and turning back off. do I need to return the device.I also reordered a new ROAM power jack and cable for the device, IT IS THE 10w needed to charge the device.Moderator edit: combined posts

Apple Magic Mouse Gesture Swiping Frustration

I am using the Sonos controller on my iMac M1 chip using Ventura 13.4 software.  When I am scrolling down music on the right of the app using the mouse, the left and right swipe gesture is so sensitive it moves back and forward between windows in the app.I have turned off the swipe gesture in the Settings for the mouse in system preferences however the Sonos app seems to be overruling this.  It is SO annoying!  Anyone any idea how to turn it off?

Hoopla Digital streams your local public library content: “hoopla puts your public library at your fingertips. Anytime. Everywhere!”So why is there no Sonos service for this wealth of content .. that you’ve already paid for through taxes?I guess it’s just ‘cause people don’t realize how much content is sitting right there waiting for them to get a library card.There’s a closed topic from a few years ago, but this should not require a TV or a Beam or … People are still struggling for years to get Libby Overdrive to work … for audiobooks. Libby doesn’t support music streaming.Anyone have a way to add hoopla digital as a sonos service?

Hi I bought a house with 2 existing in-celling Sonos speakers. I’m also considering buying 2 era 100 and a beam (second generation) for surround sound. It’s two cooper wires coming out of the wall under the TV.would a require an Amp to power and drift all these devices? Or would a port do the job? Would a need booth an amp and port to play them all at the same time?

Sonos Move runs out of battery after 1h playing and charges in 10min

Hello Sonos lovers!I have had my Move for about 2.5 years now, and love it. I use it almost every day for 2-3h unplugged, then return it to its base. On occasional weekends, we use it fully for around 8h or so (maybe more?).However today for the first time, it started running consistently out of battery after about 1 to 1.5h playing. But what is weird is that after only about 10min on its charger base, it shows 100% battery, which makes me feels something is fishy. Last time I put it on charge today it literally went: 2% 7% 9% in about 2 min, then I looked again 5min later and it showed 100%. Surely it doesn't charge that fast. It's as if the system thinks the battery is empty when it is not!Anyone has advice/experience with this?Thanks!
