sonos only plays one song at a time

Hi. Been using Alexa to “play music” on Sonos beam (connected to two Ones and a sub) using my Apple Music subscription   worked fine for years but now no matter what I ask it only ever plays one song and stops  tried asking Alexa to play Amazon music  same issue I’ve disconnected all apps  rebooted  signed in and out etc  but nothing works one song is all I get  Very annoying and the dog doesn’t get his chill music playlist while we are out   any ideas?

Playlist song locations

I have a bunch of playlists which combine mp3s and amazon music songs. The mp3s were stored on my PC, and are referenced using the windows pc name, however that computer is now dead and I don't intend to replace it. I want to move the songs locally, and bulk update the location of the mp3s in the playlists so that the playlist remains in tact, but Sonos can now find the songs. I know I can reimport the songs from a local folder, but assume that my playlists will remain broken if I do that and I want to avoid having to manually recreate them.

I want to plug the output from a sonos connect to a quad 33 ( yes very old) pre amp.  I can’t find out what the output is of the connect and if in need to add in an attenuator. many ideas please ? What is the output from the connect  Thank you

Interesting behavior, but only when including the Play:3

Long time Sonos user. I have a one-bedroom apartment with a Playbar, Sonos One (gen 1), Play:3 and Roam. A nice ASUS new’ish router. Great wifi and internet. For a while now, anytime I include the Play:3 in the group (or only play to the Play:3), the system lags a lot. Examples:When I re-open a controller after a few minutes of not using it, it takes 30-60 seconds to show what’s playing.  Whenever I hit pause/next or anything else, it takes a few seconds to do it, and 50% of the time throws an error message.  For about 25% of the songs, the first ~20 seconds show a playing but no sound comes out.On the contrary, whenever I do NOT include the Play:3, everything works beautifully and is super snappy. Do you think my Play:3 has just reached the end of its useful life? Or is there something else I can do to troubleshoot? I’ve tried calling Sonos support multiple times but didn’t make any progress on it.

Sonos Five no right channel using line in

Hi,We have a turntable connected to a Five and noticed that we only get the left channel and no right channel. Using Spotify is fine and is complete stereo but Line-in just doesn't. I followed the signal, troubleshooting with different cables and the turntable works fine, cables are fine. I tried connecting my phone aux to it and got the same results. Even sending the signal via the Five to a stereo pair Sonos:1s has the same result: no right channel.Hopefully someone can help me with this.

Sonos Connect to 2 Sonos Ones and 3rd party soundbar

Hi everyone,I am a college student trying to cobble together the best home system I can with Used sonos’s. I have 2 Play ones and recently purchased a Connect.The goal: Have TV output come out of a 3rd party speaker and the 2 sonos Ones that are mounted in the rear of the room. My TV has a optical cable for audio output. I have bought a converter from Optical (out of the TV) into RCA to go into the Sonos Connect. And RCA to Analog into the 3rd party speaker. So far I cannot find a way to make it workFirstly, I wanted to make sure that this set up will work as expected. Secondly I would love advice on how to make this work or what I might be doing wrong.Thanks!​​​​​​​

Sonos Era 100s and Sonos Fives as home theatre system?

I have been using a Sonos Beam with 2 Sonos Fives as surrounds for watching content on my TV. The Beam standalone is not as good of a speaker compared to the Fives in my opinion and I have been contemplating if I should just sell it. On a side note, I am exploring the idea of grouping 2 Sonos Era 100s and 2 Sonos Fives and connect them to my Apple TV. Has anyone tried this before and have any feedback/inputs?

I recently change my Bell Fibe modem for the Giga model. I have opened only a 2,4GHz channel but still loose almost every day the wifi connection in the Sonos app.

songs stopping mid song then a new song starts

Music stops mid song and a new song starts and stops mid song and a new song starts. This started a few days ago, it has never happen with Sonos 2 but does happen often with Sonos 1. How do i fix it?

Grouping two SONOS AMPS (Gen 3), 1 for a Non-Sonos Speaker Pair, 1 for a passive Non-Sonos Sub

I have two (2) SONOS AMPS (Gen 3) for my outdoor patio sound system.  AMP 1 powers a pair of outdoor NON SONOS speakers.  I want to add the second AMP 2 as a mono amp to power the subwoofer with all 250 Watts.  If I group both AMPS for the same location, can the frequencies be divided to each AMP with the Sonos Application?  I want to send the highs 151-20,000hz to AMP 1 and the lows below 150hz to AMP 2 ? The Sub Out on the AMPs do not provide power and since I have two SONOS AMPS I would rather not buy another Mono Amp just for the sub.  Also, I cannot find a true outdoor active powered Sub that would let me use the Sub Out from the AMPs.  When I say true outdoor, I mean that I can leave inside the landscape in the weather (IP 66 rated or IP 67 rated).

Sonos and TP Link Wifi Extender

I have several Sonos speakers. Due to my house being small but having ridiculously thick walls I have to use a TP link extender. My set up is as follows:- Speaker 1 to my Plusnet router via ethernet- Speaker 2 attached to the TPLink by ethernet- speaker 3 connected to TP Link by Wifi- Speaker 4 connected to Plusnet via Wifi I have some issues when switching from the TP Link wifi to the Plusnet wifi and sometimes I lose a device. Should I remove all ethernet connections or just keep one speaker attached to the Plusnet router?I have set the TP Link to be the same name and password as the Plusnet wifi but I still seem to have to switch from one to the other.

Home theater with Ray and Era 100

Hi everyone. I bought 1x Ray and 2x Era 100. I put the Ray in the center and the Era 100 on the sides. Can you please tell me if the Sonos app realized that the Era is used for the front right and left channel? I have an assumption that the Sonos app thinks the Era is used for the rear left and right channels. Is there any way I can check this and reconfigure it? Thanks.

turntable setup, uncompressed issues

I have a pro-ject debut turntable using a pro-Jett tube box preamp hard wired into a play 5 and wireless to a2nd play 5 for stereo sound. WiFi and router are on the floor directly above with a Sonos boost on it. Playing Spotify and Apple Music is fine but with the turntable in the uncompressed setting I can hear the speakers struggling to stay locked in the highest quality. I’m thinking o might need to go to a receiver with passive speakers and a port for streaming but maybe someone here knows how to get  it to not fluctuate. The signal is strong. One last question, would using a Sonos amp and hardwiring the play 5’s in stereo help? not sure if that’s even possible. Thanks - Tim

L' app IDAGIO a bien été intégrée dans SONOS mais en Anglais ( l'utilisateur est français )

J’ai bien réussi à ajouter le  service IDAGIO dans l’app SONOS, mais voilà les menu sont en Anglais. Quand j’ai installé l’app IDAGIO dans mon Android  les menus sont en français .Est il possible d’avoir le menu du service IDAGIO dans SONOS mais en Français. Google Translate:I managed to add the IDAGIO service to the SONOS app, but the menus are in English. When I installed the IDAGIO app on my Android the menus are in French.

Sonos created two Living Rooms. Can I combine (not just group) them?

My Living Room setup is pretty simple. I have a Playbar, Sub and two Play 1’s. When I set up the system I added first the Playbar, then the Sub and then each Play 1. I assigned the Playbar and Sub to Living Room no problem. When I added the Play 1’s they were assigned to Living Room 2. They are paired. I realize I can create a group to combine them and have all 4 speakers work but is there a way to “drag” the speakers so they’re in only one Living Room? My OCD wants everything nice and neat. One Kitchen, one Dining Room, and just one Living Room. Thanks!

Has anyone else had issues with the sound constantly cutting in and out?

I have had issues intermittently with the sound cutting in and out or skipping with my system. I have an epson projector with an hdmi cable 50ft run through the ceiling and down the wall to my Sonos arc. From the Arc I have a sub and two SLs connected. I have good internet signal and everything worked great for about a month, then I started to notice the skipping or cutting in and out of the sound. It’s annoying as heck when trying to enjoy a movie. Has anyone experienced this? If so then how did you fix it? I tried calling SONOS for help and it just direct me to someone in another country following a set list of trouble shooting.

Sonos app not working

When I connect to the app everything seems ok I can see my system , however when I play music it only allows me to play the last song I played and if I try to play anything from Amazon music it is unable to add to the que and there is an error code 1001 , if you are playing a song the only one I can if you turn the volume up or down on the app the slider works but the volume on the song stays the same , then after 10 seconds the volume changes on its own there seems to be a lag , I’m on fibre broadband any help I’ve updated my system to the latest software and I did a reboot .

Sonos Product constantly disconnecting from app and skipping queued songs

Hi there!I work at a retail store and we have two Sonos speakers, one in our store and one in our warehouse. We have constant issues with our Sonos speakers. When we come in in the morning, one in three times the app (installed on the work computers) cannot connect to the speaker. When we do manage to reset the speaker and reconnect, often the queue will skip over songs or play the first twenty or so seconds of a song then skip over. Sometimes the app will not be able to connect to Spotify alltogether.Could all of these issues be due to a wireless internet range/strength issue? I suspect it may be due to our router being at the back of the warehouse and our till computers and speaker being at the front of the store. However, when I check our internet connection it says it is strong. Could it be the internet speed then? Just ran a speed test and we are well above the minimum requirements: upload 34Mps and download 90Mps. Not sure what the problem could be.Is there any work around for th

My question During set up I put the arc as living room.The video says to assign the pair of Era 100 to a different room?I dont assign them with the living room?So do I assign them to the kitchen?Thanks Moderator edit: changed Ethos to Era
