There is always an issue with Sonos and Alexia. I have three Sonos play ones for a couple of years.sometime alexia will not stop playing radio or music, sometime button on top to pause does not work.sometime Alexia responds to STOP other time PAUSE or doesn’t work.its always has an issue… what next month. You would think an update work fix it… no just another set of issues. Its a but crap.time to try GOOGLE.   

Looking forward to receiving an Arc, 2 Subs and an Amp. I ordered an apple TV, Arcana and cables. Just installed a new JVC LX-NZ3 projector. The screen is an acoustically transparent 150”. I’ll place the Arc behind the screen, I’ve already installed the in wall surround speakers for the Amp. Unfortunately the products do not show up until January...

Oh, Sonos. You market a luxury item to people (sorry, we’re mere “consumers” to you) savvy enough to appreciate a decent audio technology. Then, upon registering said pricey gadget, you begin spamming said consumers with marketing dross, “lifestyle” guidance, and sundry crap that nobody asked for. Comically, the “unsubscribe” link in these emails results in either a inaccurate Success! message or, more often, no useful response whatsoever. Today’s steaming pile: A Day In The Life With Your New Sound System. Horoscopes, Kardashian updates, and lucky lottery numbers can’t be far behind. Perhaps the author of this philosophical epiphany would like to step forward, take a bow, maybe even a victory lap come performance review time? Or will they (sensibly) hide behind such bunny-brained spilth as just another anonymous marketer? All that student loan debt and your marketing team can do no better than fortune cookie prose. Congratulations. You continue to alienate what might reasonably become

Still reading through threads on this topic, is there a reason that there is not a minus on the lip sync setting in the app, from what I read many of the issues are that the audio is just ahead of the video We have ability to add to the delay but not back?this should be function update I. The next firmware and app update. 

It’s annoying that crossfade won’t work from Spotify unless you create a queue in Sonos. I found a better work around then what is posted here in the forum.  SoundCloud is even worse.  The best option is If you AirPlay Spotify or SoundCloud then to Sonos then you can just enjoy your music without having to do weird extra clicks in the Sonos app

Will we one day be able to take full advantage of our purchase and have the possibility of increasing the volume to 110% or 120% when the music recording is weaker?I use 5 devices (2x sonos five and 2x sonos one + sub) and I find that the sound is 2X LESS LOUDER than normal when I listen to Classical music (piano), for example recordings by Frederic Chopin, Beethoven , etc. Don't say the recording is bad I just use 100% TOP quality FLAC with my Tidal PREMIUM hifi loseless subscription, most of this music is often MASTER quality.This happens not only with classical music but also with other kinds of music. It's really shocking to have an app that is no more reliable than that. The quality of Sonos speakers is EXCEPTIONAL but they are VERY POORLY USED with an application like SONOS S2. I feel my hands tied with this bad application, and the search mode is not good at all, if you forget a letter it cannot find any songs, low-end application, and so on!

How do I get the same music listening quality from my surround setup without having to stream through my TV?I have a pair of Sonos ones, 3rd gen sub and an Arc sound bar. The sound quality seems so much better and richer streaming through the TV  vs the Sonos app with the TV off. Is it possible the get the Arc to fire in the same way at all times?  

So, exactly who the hell was it that thought it was a good idea that the volume bars in the app now have numbers? It's taking me twice as long to get the volume right…and of course I simply cannot have anything like 22 or 36, because they aren’t divisible by 5 are they. 🤬

I ordered my Arc on 9/21 and of this writing (11/26) it is still on backorder. Sonos customer support representatives, while very pleasant, have not been able to provide any potential shipping information. Are folks receiving their Arcs, and if so how long has it taken?

Hi all, Forgive me if this feature request has already been submitted, but I’d really love the ability to stream Airplay to a stereo pair of Sonos devices (One, Five, Roam, Move) and hear it come out of both speakers in stereo. If this is an Airplay limitation, I understand.

Hi friends of Sonos,can you help me please, I have a Sonos system bought about 4-5 years ago. how can I listern to bbc sounds on my play 3 ? My play3 does not show up in the listed devices. any ideas why? My tv is listed but not any Sonos speakers ?thanks for the helpRichard 

I am considering purchasing a Move, however, would like to keep it in good condition.  I am a building Industry tradesperson and sometimes environment can be as you would expect dirty and dusty.  I am trying to find some sort of sleeve, anybody got any ideas?

How do we set up Beam Gen 2?

I have sold sonos for many years. I find that my self and other installers that I spoke to can no longer sell the product. The idiotic pin code requirement for activation and having to update each unit as it is added to the system siply make the product too onerous to install.As a regular consumer having to deal with one pin code on a speaker this may not be such a big deal. But as a professional putting in 8, 12, 20 + of them at once that are installed in a rack, it simply doesnt work. You have to label each unit prior to install with the mac and pin on the front which takes a lot of extra time, it also looks bad in a clean rack. Then you have to activate each one and run the update on each one as you add it instead of all at once after they are all added. You have turned a simple job into 15-20 minutes for each unit.Now when I talk to clients and Sonos is brought up I explain how I had whole batches of connects go bad nearly all at once  I would install 18 in a job and 18 months late

With Smart TV’s using HDMI CEC along with HDMI ARC, we should be able to Display TV/Movie Cover Art in the Sonos TV Input page. This would be a great feature to ad at least as an option to turn on and off. At least Apple TV’s can communicate this with iOS which should be able to relay it back to the Sonos app in some way.  

i have a cd player connected to an amp and stereo speakers (non Sonos).  how can I also connect the CD so the music plays through my Sonos speakers in another room. What cable do I need if any?

15 Nov around 7:30 using Sonos Radio to listen to Radio 4, the program was interrupted with the message ‘due to rights restrictions…….’  There seem to be a number of threads on this subject, but no satisfactory explanation or recommendations. I have 2 questions:-  Given Sonos is aware of the issue which they say is the BBC’s problem and that the issue is affecting their customer base, what are they doing to raise the issue with the BBC to find a solution? As this issue has been running for some years, is there a recommended service for U.K. users to use to listen to BBC Radio4 which does not suffer the same problem?  

In bed now, need to get up to shutdown the move, why is this?

Why is Sonos so unreliable, now lost count of the times its just lost a product either during or between sessions. getting ethernet cables out mid evening, climbing a ladder, trying to ‘find a product’ that is 10mm away. this appears to be so unfit for market. 

Help please I have recently purchased the beam 2 but when I switch on the tv there is not sound from Apple TV or my Amazon fire stick, everything is plugged in properly as soon I unplugged and plugged back the HDMI the sound comes back and it was fine couple a days ago  tv  set properly and the rest too and is very frustrating that I  need unplug and plugged back to the sounds comeback 

I would like a geofencing away option, so when I leave the house everything automatically turns off. Why hasn't this option been delivered yet like all other smart devices nowadays? It saves energy when I forget turning my music off. Otherwise option to integrate better with Google Home or have a functionality to turn off while from home like with Hue or Tado.

Ok Peeps,  I am new to the Sonos game (as of this past year) and inept when it comes to “tech”.  So far, I have been VERY happy with Sonos!  All I have (atm) are 3 -Sonos One SL’s.  2 of which I have set up as a stereo set and 1 stand alone.  I love the simplicity and sound quality.  What I’m nervous about is all this talk of Sonos “bricking” my (soon-to-be) old equipment.    My plan was to invest heavily in more equipment over the next year or so.  A Port x 2, Arc, Subwoofer, surround and outdoor alone looks like it will set me back around 4K or more.  My question or point is this- will I/we regret this in the future as our equipment becomes outdated?  It’s funny because at heart I am a cheap skate but I don’t have issues SPENDING on things I care about.  But, when I spend REAL money on something I care about, I expect it will last.   -life expectancy of quality speakers 20-100 years!-life expectancy of a Sonos purchase...TBD  I would LOVE to hear other people’s thoughts on the subjec
