We recently built a patio cover and wanted to add some speakers. Having some experience with early Sonos speakers and still using my old play 3’s inside I decided to go with two ERA 300’s for outside. They are great as music speakers! We then added a TV outside and that’s when I thought, why not play my tv through my new ERA 300’s, only to find out it’s not that easy… So my question is, how do I use my already mounted ERA 300’s as TV speakers, NOT as surround speakers. If I add a Beam Gen 2 will that send the audio signal to them as just stereo or a mono signal? Or do I need something like a bridge? I also see the newest Beam is available for pre order, will that work instead? Any help is appreciated!

Why doesn’t my tv remote control all my devices?if I turn on (utilize) all my speakers and use my tv remote (Samsung), it only changes the hdmi wired Beam. The tv control will change volume up/down and mute.  The side speaker have to be adjusted through the Sonos app. 

A recent update completely broke it for me, i don’t do streaming, i buy the albums i want (this works best for me).  As of the recent update (i don’t know which update exactly as i hadn’t listened via sonos for a couple of months):I i select the Amazon service followed by library fllowed by Albums i get all the albums in a random order (possibly purchase order?) and no way to sort, this is next to useless when you have several hundred albums If I click on an album i expect to get the tracks on the album (always have up to now) but all i get is the option to play that whole album, no tracks are listed at all. Related to the above some (seemingly not all) albums will then shuffle other songs not in that album into the album (text states “Shuffled with similar songs. I'm trying to add a shared music folder from my Windows 11 PC (hostname: DESKTOP-I92FCEI) as a Music Library source in the Sonos app, so I can play it through my Sonos Port. I consistently get an error stating the computer/path cannot be found, regardless of the exact path format used.What I've already tried, with no success:Verified the folder is properly shared on the network (share name "d", full path D:\Ma musique), with correct read permissions. Confirmed my computer's network profile is set to Private (not Public). Enabled Network Discovery and File/Printer Sharing under Advanced Sharing Settings. Checked Windows Firewall rules — allowed "Sonos Desktop Controller" and "Sonos Library Service" for both Private and Public profiles. Confirmed no third-party firewall is active (only Malwarebytes, which has no firewall component). Tried both the computer name path (\DESKTOP-I92FCEI\d\Ma musique) and the direct IP path (\192.168.2.16\d\Ma musique). Confirmed my Sonos Port (IP 192.168.2.

After the latest Sonos updates, I’ve been unable to select any of my imported playlists on my Sonos system import from my Mac.  I’ve installed all software updates, both OS and Sonos, on my Mac and all of my devices.  I can play Mac playlists on my Sonos that were selected before the updates, but I can’t select any new playlists for playback on my Sonos system (which makes it even stranger)….   The system will allow me to select songs, artists and albums, but not play lists.

Good day, I have noticed significant "sibilant" or "hissing” sounds on Beam Gen2 when listening to BBC Radio 4 (spoken word). Therefore, the speakers were returned.Which other Sonos products do not have a similar issue? Thanks!

Bit of a weird one, setup is 8 Play:3, roam & one amp everything was fine, now when I play our playlists from SoundCloud all the play3 speakers are fine, but nothing comes from the amp… tried removing the amp and reading to system, removed and reauth SoundCloud more times than I can remember. Any ideas?

How do i add my Brennan music library so that i can see it in the Sonos app and select music to play

HelloI’ve been using zone with four Era 100 in my sun room since last fall. No issue to report, it’s perfect to play ambiance music in a large area. But since the last app update, my zone disappear and all 4 speakers become separate.Am I the only one ?  Is it a known issue ? I’m using Alexa and 

Sonos app seems to operates independently on my iPad and iPhone. Not long ago they operated as one device seemlessly!

I am having issues with my 4K UHD Blu-Rays playing full Dolby Atmos on my current setup. I play use PS5 that is connected to my Samsung S90F. I have Beam (Gen 2) and SYMFONISK rears that support Dolby Atmos (when streaming or playing games, I have no problem with Atmos.) When I start playing an 4k blu ray with an Atmos track (in this case, Dune: Part 2), my sonos app is saying that it is only receiving "multichannel pcm 5.1" when it should be receiving Dolby Atmos. I saw people suggested selecting "pass-through" on my Samsung TV but this did not help. Any suggestions on what might be going on?

After working great since purchase my Sonos Beam Gen 2 has started switching the TV input back to the Sonos HDMI 1 EARC. Within a couple of minutes of choosing an input for Amazon Firestick it switches back to Sonos. Any ideas on how to fix? I’ve tried unplugging the TV and Sonos. I also tried a new HDMI cable. Hello, I believe my setup should work but I’m missing something. If your Roam 2 speaker has sat without power for some time, does it need to be plugged into a power source for a bit before you can even get the power or status light to come on?

Hi,Since update 85.00.31 (Android) of the app, content from Pocket Casts service is not shown in playlists containing it. Here is the playlist list from my system. The playlist Podkassos currently contains only podcast episodes from the same podcast. I am new to the community. I am having an issue with the Music Library and I hope someone can help or explain. i have some CDs that I have ripped that are Sampler CD compilations. I have a number of CDs that I had picked up at various audiophile shows that are sponsored by hifi manufacturers. As an Example, NAIM handed out a CD which contains various artists and tracks. When I index this CD to the library each track is separated from the normal track list and is individually listed in the Artists section. How can I fix this so that these kind of CDs are treated like a normal CD where all the tracks are listed in order?

I know this may sound controversial but I find my Sonos Ray more full bodied in voices compared to the beam 2 which I also have. This is normally experienced during regular TV broadcast, news etc. Voices have a bit more umph and clairty whereas the Beam is cleaner and neutral, well almost flat if you will. Make no mistake, when playing proper Dolby Atmos or 5.1 with some fat “hollywood mixing” the beam is miles ahead.But maybe 85% of the time I just watch the news, stream documentaries, series and listen to people talk. Was is overkill to get the Beam?Bascially what I am missing is a richer, warmer sound in the voice frequencies. Earlier I only had the Beam but now I also have the Ray and can do real comparisons using same TV, same room, same settings and what not. I have also used Trueplay on both. Hello, I take the liberty of asking you because I have a fairly well-known problem that I can't solve.I bought a Sonos Arc Ultra and 2 Era 300 and here is my equipment:-LG OLED 65C1- Panasonic UB820 Blu-ray Player-PS5-Apple TV 4KOn my Panasonic UB-820 player, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital work perfectly but DTS-HD does not convert to PCM 5.1, it is indicated in PCM Stereo!My PS5 can convert DTS audio to LPCM 5.1, and it sounds great!Can anyone help me with this problem? I am trying to reset my Sonos Connect to WiFi after updating my local network. I follow instructions on the Sonos Ap on my iPhone to the point where it tries to joint the temporary network “SONOS.”  But I get a message “unable to join “SONOS.”  Any ideas what I am doing wrong or how to proceed?

When I’m using Spotify connect and I switch song, I have to press two times for it to play. If I press one time it just restarts the song that’s currently playing, then I have to press again for it to play the song I want. Happens to all the speakers.

Hi folks,ive brought a new place and the previous owner left 2x Sonos play:5 speakers. I’m trying to reset them but there is no ‘play’ button on the top of them or ‘join’ button on the back. what can I do?? 

I am trying to figure out options for placing the arc ultra soundbar. There is no space underneath the tv. I feel I have to go above and read that you shouldn’t hang it upside down because you can’t change left right. I think the only real option is just above the tv. I know it fires up but I don’t know what else to do. Will it sound bad above the tv? The floor to tv bottom is 48 inches. Tv is 36 inches. Top of tv to ceiling (wall slopes to cieling) is 20 inches. Room is not terribly big and we sit about 9.5 feet from the tv. Thanks in advance. 

Unable to connect to multiple music sources : BBC Sounds, Spotify, TuneIn.   All with error message “Unable to browse music - There was a problem connecting to”.   Some service do work however: Sonos, Absolute Radio, Times Radio.  Plex errors with  - “No Plex media server available”Also unable to add Music Services.  Clicking on icon with no progression.Unable to update - “The Sonos controller installer failed to download - Error Code 42” IMPORTANT - Services all work when accessed via iphone but not MacBook
