Hi. Never had issues with connectivity. Didn’t change / replace / reconnected router or iPhone, but after newest firmware update, sonos app shows “not connected”. I can easily update network and add system to my WiFi, but then after couple minutes it shows again. Anyone experiencing this issue after update?
I can hardly believe I'm writing this, but the most recent app update has reintroduced a bug I complained about on here a year ago, and which was subsequently fixed.https://en.community.sonos.com/controllers-and-music-services-229131/mute-individual-products-6902079I have all my speakers grouped together and mute/unmute them as I move around the house, because it's easier than grouping/ungrouping them. I don't want them all on all the time, as it disturbs my neighbours.Following the most recent app update, my speakers now all unmute themselves every time I change the group volume (even if I'm turning it down!)Why? How could anybody think this is a good idea? When will this unwanted functionality be removed (again)? More generally I am so sick of Sonos needlessly dicking about with things which work fine as they are. God knows if they want to change the app there is a long list of things which don't work properly - it's a dog's dinner. It's clear to me that Sonos have learned nothing f
I play Apple Music from Sonos but now I find I can’t LIKE songs from Sonos , any help? Thanks~
This seems super disappointing – I have Claude set up to control my Sonos, but there's no way for it to actually build and play songs on its own. I either have to prompt it each time to play the next song, or I have to create a static playlist that gets pushed over. I really want something that’s more hands off and keeps selecting new songs as the evening goes by. Am I missing something, or is this just a consequence of hype not living up to reality?
The sound on my Arc Ultra persistently drops out when I change channel (eg from Apple TV back to a TV channel. Also changing between something playing in Dolby Digital Plus back to non-DDP).I've tried all the suggested fixes that I can find both here and YouTube but it's still doing it. Does anybody have the magic fix? Arc Ultra/Sony 65xf8505 (ARC connection)/Virgin Media 360
Hi everyone,Hoping someone can help me figure this out, because I’m honestly running out of ideas.I’m writing from Austria, and have been a loyal Sonos customer for years without ever experiencing anything like this.Currently on my third Arc Ultra (Sonos replaced my original Arc Ultra, and then replaced the replacement unit 🙂) and all three have had the same type of distortion/crackling from one side on higher-pitched sounds, especially piano and certain voices. It is clearly audible from meters away, even at low volume. The strange part is that the affected side changed:Original: left side — serial starts with 2508LC Replacement #1: left side — serial starts with 2508LC Replacement #2: right side — serial starts with 2507LC I’ve tested different TVs, Apple TV, AirPlay, Sonos Radio, the Arc Ultra by itself,Trueplay off, and a complete factory reset/setup. The issue remained. To be fair, Sonos Support has been very kind and helpful and approved the replacements after seeing my videos.
I’m experiencing an intermittent problem with one of my Sonos speakers where it suddenly becomes unavailable in the Sonos app while I’m listening to music. The speaker still has power and appears to be running normally, but playback stops and the app either shows the speaker as unavailable or takes a long time to reconnect. The problem is inconsistent, which makes it difficult to determine what is triggering it.Some details I’ve noticed so far:The speaker can disconnect while audio is already playing. Other devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network continue working normally. The speaker sometimes reappears in the Sonos app after waiting for a few minutes. Restarting the speaker temporarily fixes the problem. The issue can return later without any obvious change to the network. The problem does not seem to happen at a specific time or with a particular music service. I have not noticed any obvious power-related problems with the speaker.I’m trying to figure out whether this is more li
Will the new Sonos Ace Ultra headphone be just another room in the S2 app? Or does it require one of the compatible Sonos products?
I am experiencing an audio routing issue with my Sonos surround setup that only started happening recently after a recent software update. Up until recently, this setup worked perfectly. My Setup:Soundbar: Sonos Beam (Gen 2) connected via HDMI eARC. Surrounds: Stereo pair of Sonos Era 100s. TV: Sony W800F. Source: Apple TV 4K connected to the Sony TV via HDMI.Whenever I switch on my TV, I need to manually go into the apple audio output option, select Sonos setup, and everything works great—audio plays perfectly through the Beam and both Era 100 surrounds. However, the moment I press any button with the Apple TV remote (changing apps, volume controls, or pausing a video), the audio output automatically changes away from the Sonos system back to "Native/TV Speakers". Because the TV assumes the Beam is the native speaker, I still get front audio, but the Era 100 surround channels completely cut out, and I completely lose the ability to control the volume using my Apple TV remote. To get surr
I mostly love my Sonos equipment, but what in the heck were they thinking hard wiring the USB-C cable into the Sonos Play dock? I strive for that clean look and I have 6 feet of wire to somehow hide on my countertop. If you simply allowed a USB-C to USB-C cable, I could use a much shorter cable and it would look much cleaner. Also, slightly annoying for a premium product that it does not come with a charging block. I have a black Play and a white Play so I needed to find USB-C blocks for both of them. But mostly, come on, give me a dock option with a removable wire!
I am going in circles here, moving settings around on TV and Roku and still cannot get PCM off. I have a TCLQLED model number 55Q681G and I have the arch with the Sonos Beam 2 plug plugged into it and a Roku that I run on my video through plugged in the HDMI three I see all the settings that I read about, but I just can’t get Dolby to pipe through and show on my app. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance
What can be wrong with my speakers and pairing? They will not pair with my TV. I’ve been able to pair with my phone but not my TV. It was working fine then we had problems with the TV and Xfinity reset the TV. I have gone through the process of re-pairing with the WiFi, turning off each speaker and resetting. Nothing seems to be working. What am I doing wrong?
The subwoofer will not play sound. What do I do?
GreetingsDoes anyone have a television without any handshake issues with Sonos arc ultra I am about to upgrade my television and would like some advice to avoid this
The ungoing rear speakers dilemma My Era 300s are fantastic as rear surrounds with my Arc and Sub. They’re also fantastic as a stereo pair for music. But moving between those two setups means removing them as surrounds, creating a stereo pair, running Trueplay again, and then reversing the whole process when I want my home theater back.I’ve just read about Sonos Fabric and its Positioning Technology, and my first thought was: could this finally be the answer?Sonos says compatible speakers will be able to recognize where they’ve been placed and change roles automatically. A Move 2 or Sonos Play can become a rear surround when it’s moved into position, without the owner having to rebuild the system manually.I know this hasn’t been announced for the Era 300, and I understand the technical details may be different. But if Sonos is now building speakers that can change roles depending on how they’re being used, this feels like the perfect opportunity to revisit the Era 300.What I’d love is
Hi, Frustrated or What?I have just changed my wifi name, this involved a full factory reset of every Sonos product and the creation of a new ‘Sonos’ System using the app on my phone, after a few little issue, every Sonos speaker transferred over from the old system and joined the new. Every speaker has had it/s wifi changed successfully. However, despite a full reinstall of MacOS and Sonos app on the Mac ( as you see, I’ve tried a lot!) I still cannot get the Sonos App for MacOS to join the party. When I open the App, it tries to find, what is now, an ‘existing system’, and tells me that my firewall settings have changed.Every single setting of my firewalls are correct, permissions for the app to find devices on the network - correct. Permission to control my computer using Accessibility features - correct. My full system is fully recognized by my app on my iPhone!I am a retired IT professional so I pity poor souls with no IT skills!!I am now on day three of trying to find a solution - a
Hi! I have some weird and annoying problem with my sonos system. When I initially start playing music from my iPhone or iPad via AirPlay to a single amp orPort, there is just silence. It takes about 2mins or so before it then suddenly starts playing. Alternatively I always need to kinda kickstart the speaker by playing something through the Sonos app. And then also AirPlay work fine.I use these zones only every now and then. I suppose so they have enough time to eventually go into some kind of sleep or deep sleep state… The problem does not occur when they are idling just for a day or so. When I start AirPlay it connects (so no connection errors). Also music on the phone is happily playing. Just, there is no sound. The components are all hardwired with WiFi disabled. the WiFi access points are ruckus. This issue has persisted for years and is very reproducible. I have not delved into the minutia of my network setup so maybe there’s an arcane setting or feature I need to disable or en
Hi,I can see there is big gap in Now Playing screen of latest Sonos 27 iOS app update. Refer imageAm i correct or there is some misunderstanding! Earlier this gap was not there for sure. i am using iPhone 17 Pro max with following Sonos devices PlaybaseSub 4Play 5all devices updated with latest firmware
Sonos Move does not power on after battery replacement. Swapped batteries and charging base with known working Move, but no change. When placing Move on charging base, the 4 small indicator lights at front bottom of Move go solid red for about 10 seconds, then go off. Nothing after that - will not power on with either battery.
I have two Sonos Play Portable speakers each with their own Sonos charging ring and 45w power brick. Both charging rings work but one Play has just stopped and won’t charge. Dead kaput. It’s been out of the box not even two weeks and fully updated. Any thoughts from the community?

I have an Amp connect and an Audioflow switch connected to 4 ceiling speakers. I wish to install a multi amp now and remove the Audioflow switch. I have provisions to connect 4 more passive speakers. Why can’t I purchase the multi amp direct rather then going through an installer.
I have a sonos sub and sonor ultra with Sony TV , but the performance is soo poor, especially the sound. Any suggestions
Hi. I have a Play 5 Gen 1. I actually have over a dozen Sonos speakers. They are great sounding speakers. My older Play 5 powers up and communicates with the system, but outputs no audio. I’ve done a factory reset and re-added it, but no luck. I’m an electrical engineer and can repair/replace PCBs. I hate to throw a great sounding device in the trash that can be repaired. I don’t need an upgrade discount to replace it. I just want to repair it if possible.
Hi,I have Unifi Dream Machine. I referenced the following and it said I can have everything wired and make it work. However, It seems like when I have everything wired (and turned off wifi) the surrounds + subs get lost --still connected to the network but doesn’t output any sound. Has anyone run into similar issues? When i asked AI app it mentions that home theater has a private masked network running on 5GHz, so I cannot disable wifi (arc won’t be able to talk to other speakers). But Unifi doesn’t support STP on a per port basis (only globally) so it didn’t seem to work either. Has anyone gotten it to work?
