I have a Sonos Arc connected to a Sony TV and using a AppleTV OS and Apple remote. The problem I am experiencing is that the AppleTV remote does not connect to the Arc automatically. After unchecking from the TV speakers and checking only the Arc I am able to change the volume of the Arc. I want it so that I don’t use the TV speakers at all and to have the Apple Remote change the volume on the Sonos. more info: my TV is connected to the Arc via the optical chord on the eARC port on the TV.The remote and the TV connects automatically to the TV speakers not to the Sonos when the TV turns on and off
Since some time it's not possible anymore to play music by asking Google Assistant. When asking "Hey Google, play Radio 583", the answer is "I' m sorry but it isn't not possible on this device.I hope someone can help us.Regards, Florence
I recently changed my Wi-Fi router and updated my system with the new configuration. However both SL Ones disappeared and after factory resetting both, they still would not connect. I attached one speaker to the router with an Ethernet and was able to set them up and added them as surrounds for the Beam. However on removing the Ethernet the connection goes and they get dropped from the set up. Any idea why and how to get them all wireless again?
Hi everyone, I have a problem - I reset the Sonos Amp to factory settings and reconnected it to my Sonos system. I have it connected via LAN, but the Ethernet connection always disconnects and the Amp connects via Wi-Fi. When I return the connection via LAN in the app settings, after about a minute it disconnects and reconnects to Wi-Fi...and so on....Is there any way to fix this? The other Sonos devices are only connected via Wi-Fi....could this be related? The router and network work fine.
It’s been a while since I’ve heard anything about progress towards resolving the Compilation Albums Issue in Local Music Libraries.I believe this is the current state of things:Sonos does not recognize the “Compilation Album” tag. Sonos does recognize albums tagged with Album Artist as “Various Artists” -- this is good. HOWEVER, Albums not tagged with “Various Artists” show up with as unique Albums for every Contributing Artist. Example: Suppose we had Billboard Greatest Hits 1986. This would show up as 10 separate albums … one for Bangles, one for Huey Lewis, one for Mr. Mister, etc. Albums that are tagged with “Various Artists” fix this, but the Contributing Artists are invisible. This means that if I look in the Artists list, I do not see Bangles, Huey Lewis, or Mr. Mister … it appears that I have no music from them, though clearly I do. They show up when I search for them, but do not show up in the index. Older versions of the app, as well as the web app, included options to
Hi, I currently have the following installed, 1 x Sonos Playbar, 2 x Sonos Play 1 speakers and I want to add a Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable. Please can you advise what I need to connect the Turntable to my existing system?
Hi! I’ve recently purchased a beam 2 and 2 era 100 with the idea to use them as a home theater (I’m planning to buy the sub mini in a future) but I can’t figure it out at all. I have the beam already configured with the tv connected tru hdmi arc. I have in another system both of the era 100 individually (not paired for stereo) and now when I’m trying to add both era 100 in the configuration area of the beam 2 they never show up. am I doing something wrong? I’ve reset everything twice now and can’t connect them together
After buying a Five and naively expecting it to pair up with my Play 5 2nd Gen for vinyl listening, I had to return it and am now looking for a 2nd Play 5 Gen 2 second hand. Apart from ebay are there any other resources it’s worth keeping an eye on? Or is it just a question of snapping up quickly when they’re listed?.. Seems like they’re like gold dust...
I got a new eero router from my service provider a couple of days ago. It has only one ethernet port (my old router had four). Can I use a two-port unmanaged network switch (not a splitter) to make the connection between the amp and router? Any recommendations?
Does anyone know how I can set up my Alexa voice / alarm volume higher so we can hear it without having the TV volume blaring out when the TV is turned on? I have a Sonos Arc. Any help appreciated. I have tried various settings suggested on other forums. Thanks you.
Is the Arc Ultra compatible with Play:1 and first generation Sub?
Hi, I love my Sonos Ace, and use them for more than a year on a daily basis, but I just find out that the ear cushions can be damaged on the side by normal use and wondering if there is any possible mantainance product I can buy or use to maybe lubricate them and will not start deteriorating since I plan to have them and keep using them for a long time. Maybe its the weather, or maybe sometimes when I use them during summer, my they are humid when I take them off, but have had taken care of this by using a dry towel to clean them before returning them to their case, and sometimes leave the case open until this have completely dry. Any suggestions or advises will be appreciatedThank You!
I cannot connect to my Sonos devices using the Tidal app (neither Android nor Apple). It briefly connects but then disconnects. Any idea what to do?
Hello, I have this problem...I have a Tidal account connected to the Sonos app (android + ios), but my playlists that I created in Tidal are no longer showing. What could be the problem?Everything is showing, only the playlists are not loading....the info appears: something went wrong...I cleared the cache in the apps and re-authorized the Tidal account...but to no avail, the playlists are still not showing. Thanks for the reply.P.
This issue is limited to the live Apple Music radio stations - Apple Music 1, Club, Chill, etc. I haven't been able to get them to play for a few weeks now. They used to work fine. The track ID comes through as “unknown content” and nothing plays. Sometimes I get an error saying that it is not encoded properly, but not always. Today when I tested, Apple Music 1 played through one of my Play 5s, but not through any other speaker, while the app filled with error message pop ups. The other stations refused to play at all. Is this a known issue?
Just purchased a pair of Sonos Era 100's and I have a Brennan B2. The idea to transfer my cd collection to the B2 and use the Sonos speakers wirelessly to listen to my collection. Quite honestly I cannot get both the Sonos and Brennan apps to work as they should. Yes, all is on the same network but the music library will not transfer from windows to the Sonos. The wifi keeps dropping out on the Sonos and for some reason the Sonos app will only play one song at at time. I am wondering if I have made an expensive mistake.
I went to add a new speaker to my Sonos app today, this tells me I need to update the appThe new app update on iOS is only available to iOS 17 and above which my iPhone X doesn't supportI just bought an era100 and cannot add it to the app because the app is forcing an update to allow me to add a speaker - the not now button simply cancels the add speaker option.this is absolute bull, so now Sonos require me to get a new phone to add a speaker to their app? im sure I'm not the only person affected but probably one of the first since most won't notice in day to day use right now, but this is bull
Sonos MoveYTM playing, music stops, I look in app, its still playing (seconds advancing). I try and control the music, skip track, anything, eventually I get an error, then the Move drops off the app, then comes back again with a blank playlist.Zero pings dropped to the Move at network layer.Happened for the past couple weeks, rebooted etc, happens randomly, and seeminly only on the Move but then again I only really use that speaker consitently so not certain its isolated. Same with YTM, not certain its related, but I have a feeling it is.Diag: ******** Moderator Note: Recorded and removed diagnostic number. Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
I have sonos one in the kitchen and can set up google assistant. I have move 2 and era100 but I cannot. What is the deal? This needs to be resolved!
The Technics SA-C600 seems like an ideal candidate as a multi-function component in my ideal audio system. It’s a network streamer, CD player, radio and turntable-ready all in one package. I have a Sonos Ray that I got as a starting point for a Sonos speaker system and I wanted to understand if:I can connect the Technics SA-C600 to a Sonos Era 100/300 or Five via the 3.5mm headphone jack on the front through the Sonos line-in adapter and an additional third-party connector I can extend audio input to the Era 100/300/Five via the line-in to the Ray over wifi? This post points out the lack of a line out on the back of the Technics unit but the spec list and photos here indicate 3.5mm output exists. Thanks!
I am a complete newbie to this so answers in simple format would be greatly appreciated! I am about to purchase my first Sonos product(s) - the Era 100 smart speakers. I am told that I can input from my old standalone turntable to play some of my vinyl which would otherwise be u/s. Question 1: what do I need? I see a pre-amp mentioned. Would this just be something simple like a Behringer PP400 off Amazon? Anything else? Question 2: can I connect two smart speakers for true stereo and if so what more do I need? Any advice greatfully received.
I am considering getting rid of my sonos system due to it’s very poor response. Having invested in the system I am loath to change everything. My Play 3’s are hardwired, whilst the Play 1’s and the soundbar are wireless. Android app can take minutes to fully start up where I can control the system, the lag on volume control is appalling. my wireless runs at 380mbps so it isn’t slow, each sonos has a fixed IP
BonjouRpeut-on coupler une Playbase avec les enceintes ERA 100 en surround. (Arrières).merci
Can someone help me reconnect my Roam? After switching internet provides, I haven’t been able to connect my speaker to Spotify. I have restarted and deleted the app. I have turned off the speaker, unselected it from bluetooth. I have restarted and restarted until I am now on this community asking for help.
My Sonos Ace Headphones will not connect consistently with the App on my brand new Oppo Reno13 phone. I have retuned 2 previous pairs of headphones with the same problem. The current (3rd pair) at least connected with my Oppo to allow an update but now will not reconnect. Bluetooth pairing works fine, it’s just the app which I unfortunately need to listen to Spatial Audio (Atmos) through my streaming service. It is extremely frustrating as Spatial audio is the primary reason I bought the headphones. I have the same problem on my old Oppo phone and also a really old Samsung S9. I have tried everything suggested in similar threads such as re-pairing, factory resetting the headphones, clearing the cache, rebooting the phone, tried Sonos support 4 separate times and all combinations of the above. The only thing I haven’t been able to do is connecting via an iOS device as I don’t have access. I cannot believe that I am alone in this problem with Android but all I can find online is people w
